Cool game! The controls felt a little clunky but the idea is interesting.

First of all - game's waaaaaay too dark. I had to bump up my system's gamma setting a lot to be able to see well enough to enjoy the game.
That being said, very pleasant experience! Really liked the atmosphere and imo visuals fit really well with the game. Movement was also very smooth and felt surprisingly accurate. I've also had some performance issues once in a while, despite having a very good rig, although this could be a problem with the WebGL build, so I'll check the standalone later.
Overall, really enjoyable experience :)
I liked this game! I think the game loop of destroying brown blocks could have been conveyed a little better, and overall the game is very dark (I understand that you can make the room brighter exploding blocks, but it's still not enough in my opinion). Good job!
the game ran So slow that i was able to count frames, & its too dark, & i think there is a lot of vertecies in the ores, Cause in any place that i looked & there was ores, the game frames dropped down to 2fps, good game, just slow like i am playing it from windows 1
(even that my laptop is bad tbh, its not that bad to play a low poly Bat game Like fr tho 4gb of ram shouldn’t be that bad for a bat game & idk)
but other then me having all these issues, its a solid game, but the movement is kinda bad like when you look up The bat should Fall (Or stall if it was a plane sine you called him a robot bat which may or may not mean he is a Plane in a Bat costume) & when going down & having a lot of speed & pulling up, this should actually kill the bat irl, but its just a fantasy game so it doesn’t really matter.
Nice Game :D looks great (I personally do not think it is to dark -> might be the reason our game is dark aswell :D). I have a little hard of a time with the controls. Sometimes it is really hard to get where you want (turning is to slow)
Echoing the same, much too dark overall. Otherwise, quite interesting!
I really like the mood and the being able to fly from the point of view of a bat (I think). The flying also felt good, but the descending would get very fast so it was hard to not collide constantly. The lighting could also be improved.
Keep up the good job!
Love the atmosphere, and (our game was our first foray into 3D) respect for anyone that went 3D in the jam. :P
Some points of (hopefully constructive) criticism are mainly that, as others have said, the lighting is a little too dark, and that the controls don't seem to "flip" as you turn upside down? As in, pressing left makes you go the same direction when you're upside-down, unless that was a bug in my play-through. xD
The scene was a bit too dark for me to tell what was going on -- the crystal lighting looked nice, but maybe it could benefit from a bit of baseline lighting in the scene. The controls were a bit difficult as well. I dig the aesthetic though.
"Friends don't let friends play inverted" ;) The speed at which the bat descends is rather fast making it almost impossible to dive anywhere. I had to gently nudged the bat downward and even then it was like a cannon ball dropping. Maybe I missed how to flap the wings and slow myself down (which I think might be a cool mechanic even if its just for comedic effect of seeing the bat trying to pull itself up only to crash and blow up) lol ;) Interesting concept
It was a fun game.
It took me a while to figure it out that the brown blocks were the ones vulnerable to explosions.
Once you figure it out, you can more or less guide yourself through the game.
Although it doesn't mean it doesn't take you a lot of tries.
Good job!
Mmm... I don't remember honestly.
Just to see it for myself, I played it again.
Apparentely, since the star is visible since the beginning, it's just easier to fly towards it directly, rather than exploding a couple of times, and having the earth block tutorial pop up.
But being completely honest, I don't remember at all how I played it the first time.
Sorry I cannot give you that much information.
I beat in 59 bats! I really liked the lighting and how the caves truly gave the feeling of exploration. As some have said, though, there is a noticeable lag when the number of crystals increased, but I think the game may have been if there were fewer crystals and they were used to highlight important areas. Additionally, it is not so clear which walls can be broken. That being said, this is a great entry :)
it is a bit dark for me (sometimes the screen was pretty much black for me) and a bit laggy but that blame can be put on my laptop.
It also would be nice to have a general idea on where the star is so you don't have to crash into I don't even want to know how many walls to find it.
I do like the game though as well as how it looks and how you implemented the theme.
I did a backflip as an exploding bat. I love this game aha. Nice job :)
Very cool! I love flying games, but yeah I wish the camera was a bit higher up on the bat with some more dynamic angles, and that keyboard control was smoother. In the second level the conveyance with lighting was unclear, I assumed the difference color lighting meant I had to go that way but I think it was a dead end.
I actually played the game about three times. The fact that you get a slightly different ending when you crash with less bats is a nice touch.
Yikes...
I would have liked it better if the brown blocks were easier to see though.
The art and the mechanics are good, the game fits well within the theme.
The dark style with the glowing crystals was really cool and suited really well with the bat.
However sometimes it was too dark to see where I needed to go, and I ended up just randomly crashing into walls in the hope that it lets me see where I needed to go. Some kind of hint system when you are stuck for too long would be nice.
Really nice game!
I loved the graphics. The glow-in-the-dark crystals were cool! Nice work!
I would appreciate some feedback as well :D
