Very fun, it somehow feels a bit flappy-bird like. This could make for a great mobile game :) Keep up the great work!
Wow, very fun to play. I like that there is progression and a reason to play multiple times. The only thing missing are cetain sounds. Definitly one of the best games I´ve played (out of 30).
This was a fun game to play! with some bit of polish this could turn into a good time waster!
Nice game, good Job!
Very cool, there's a lot of backtracking, I understand it's the concept of the game, but for a gamejam I would have liked the prices of the upgrades to be a bit lower so multiple runs are not needed to buy the next upgrade and continue further. Or maybe it's because I upgraded the level of the upgrades several times so I didn't have enough for the next thing.
I'm a huge fan of the graphics in the scrap yard when you buy upgrades, but I feel like perhaps the skybox or focal length on the camera could do with a change to really let your models shine. Overall, I don't know why but I super enjoyed my time playing, definitely addicting!
Good graphics and nice animation when the player restart the game. In a game with unlockable content its better if you have a hint about what future upgrade you could get, i almost quit cause y thought only hp was all the upgrades and couldnt past the aliens.
Fun creative choice using hand-drawn clouds and flames. Perhaps a needed compromise for the sake of time but it adds a good bit of charm. I think the addition of music would've upped my rating - didn't feel as immersed as i felt i could've been. The gameplay is fun though! I appreciate the variety of objects to dodge.
There are some great touches in this like the crash and relaunch sequence and the minimap showing your previous crashes. Nice job!
this would be 10x better with a backing track. and even better if found like different themes and you could fade them in at different parts like from the atmosphere to space then again into some battle ish music when the satellite comes in. solid game though. enjoyed it.
I get it, 72 hours is a short time period. :)
Cool game, but the sound effect are a little bit dead.
we had to rush with the sound thats why dont have any background music
well, i just went to freesound.org and in 5 minutes i had a very cool music, next time you could try get the music from there ;)
With some polish and actual level design, I could see this as a fun game to speedrun.
I want to thank all of the people writing so nice comments. It has been the first official gamejam for some of us and we had a lot of fun.
I also will look into all the games you guys created. Thank you so much for playing!
Good concept, fun gameplay. Difficulty ramps up real fast, which I guess is just fine where you upgrade yourself every time.
Well done in all aspects. Good job!
This game is by far the one that i played the most, the gameloop is very well thought. I loved at the end it sayed "FIN"
LOL my experience playing Touhou definitely came in handy. Pretty fun and I certainly enjoyed it; but a few things to consider:
It is hard to notice, but after you got to the main menu u can go back in and test all the other upgrades. You even get 40.000 for finishing it. Sadly we were in a rush at the end and struggled to make better menus and tutorials.
Anyway thank you very much for your reply and for playing the game.
Very addicting gameplay loop - landing in the junkyard is a nice touch and I like that the text you get after each run is in context to how far you got.
One thing I would say is that sometimes it feels like it's impossible to dodge all the obstacles coming at you at once, but that is mitigated a bit once you get the laser, so only a minor gripe!
