Nice environment. I think better feedback on when you hit things that can be dug or mined should be better. There is a sound that plays but some sort of feedback on how far along you are would be good, maybe cracks or a health ring around your crosshair or something.

Really impressive game, I agree that switching tool should be faster, but it was still very beautiful and atmospheric exploration.

Developer

Thanks

Fun exploration game. I'd say that the switching should happen immediately, like if I have the pick out and i hit 2 it should just switch to my shovel rather than me having to click 2 twice to get my shovel out. and small reticule would also be nice, the gems were a little finicky to pick up. nice relaxing game though, I enjoyed it. :)

Developer

Thanks for your feedback.
I absolutly agree with the double clicking. It was just not that easy to program, so after a while I decided to do it that way.

This was really cool, had relaxing envorinments and noises.. i liked finding secrets :D I also liked you gave sound feedback if we are hitting true thing...This was really cool, only thing which could be bit better is keeping players bit more engaged, i mean this is a jam game so it is short but i say this if you made this game longer ok?

Great game :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks :)
Yeah, definitly more Gameplay would have been cool. But I tried to make what I had good instead of making a lot of content, but very bad.

Oh yes i agree but i wasn't able to explain myself correctly, i meant if you made your game longer than it would need something to keep us playing, but it wasn't long, so its fine :) So i actually thought this game was better because it was short..

Its my fault, my main language is not english and sometimes i can't explain myself well..

The secret was very rewarding to dig up. I'm rich!

Developer

Congrats ;)

What I like about this game is the fact that it doesn't hold your hand, and it expects you to figure things out for yourself. I really wish more games did that. Whenever I make a game, (including the one I submitted) I always try to respect the players intelligence and try to make them feel proud they discovered something on their own.

The game is still missing a lot, but for what it is I don't regret playing it.

Developer

Thanks, I agree in some parts.
Letting the Player figure out things by himself is way more satisfying than just reading a text.
Nevertheless a tutorial is still missing, e.g. appearing after a certain amount of time to prevent some players from abandoning the game, because they don´t know what to do. So it´s still a good idea to provide a tutorial as an option. Nothing is more frustrating to get stuck in a level :)

Submitted

really peaceful game and looks nice good job, just missing the tutorial and some music :)

Developer

Yep, typical for a game jam to run out of time. I appreciate your honest feedback :)

Nice 3d map. Breaking the rocks was very satisfying. I didn't get what this has to do with the topic and your twitter page on the game page says "not existent".

Developer(+1)

Thanks and yeah it´s not quite related to the theme. But I thought before I don´t do anything, I´ll do something different.
I mean Jonas said, the theme is not a must ;)
Twitter-link now works.

I found gold and secret :) . This is a pretty looking game, with well choosen ambient sounds, that lead to a good mood. Simple and pleasant to play. (You didn't try to respect the theme I presume. ). Nice game.

Developer

Thank you very much for your feedback.

Yeah I had a hard time with the theme.

I found the gold but not the secret. I'm guessing it's related to the shovel but I couldn't figure out where to use it. Great job putting this together so quick! The sound in the caves was properly spooky.

Developer

There are ground elements, that don't look quite right. If you take the left path, the only way to get to the gold mine is by using the shovel.
That way you get an impression on where to use it. I´m sure you will find the other secret ;)

Thanks for your feedback :)

Hey it's an actual 3D mining game! Looks really good, I also wanted to make something more real looking but ran out of time and just made all my assets 2D.

I almost missed the entry to the mine the first time! If it was more clear what can and what cannot be destroyed that would be helpful :)

Thanks, and yeah definitly lesson learned there.

I will check  out your game.

Nice walking simulator

Developer (1 edit)

You have tools on your 1, 2, 3 keys with which you can destroy rock s and dirt.
I know, there´s not really a tutorial :) Thanks anyways.

Submitted

Maybe my comment sounded negative, but I don't think walking simulators are bad! And I knew about the destruction, take Firewatch for example - it's a walking simulator, but you have some other things to do (destruction in your case).

What I want to say, is I actually enjoyed the chilly atmosphere of your game and calling it a walking sim isn't anything you should be upset about!

Sorry, I just feared you didn´t find out about these features.  You´re totally right.
Thank you so much :)

Nice 3d Models and intuitive controls. Might I suggest adding particle effects when hitting destructible rocks to let the player know youre damaging them? Otherwise good job!

Developer (2 edits)

Thanks, for the feedback.

Pretty to walk around in.
