This is fun but hard as hell! I thought you were the "casual" shmup guy! I don't even know where to start when the second boss shows up at the end.

Ooh! Good to know. I thought the midboss was hard coded to leave just before dying so it could "return" later transformed into the final boss. I'll have to try again and be more aggressive with it.

I wanted to see if I could do a "max stress" run by maxing out my stress as early as possible and then no bombing to the end. It was fun! Final score was 334,600.

This is wonderful and addictive but too easy right now. I want the game to antagonize me more and force me to change my strategy.

Maybe:

• Make me fail a run if I don't hit the point threshold for the next level.
• Add enemy slimes to random grid squares that have debuffs to disrupt my strategy. 
• Have boss levels that disable a row or a slime colour.

There are lots of incentives to play few or only one point scoring slime right now. Maybe add more perks or slimes that incentivize the player to play many slimes. The grid felt unnecessarily big to me since I was always wanting to play one big slime in the top corner tile. Maybe have a random tile each turn be a bonus tile with a multiplier to incentivize me to play there instead of using the same square each time.

I'd love to see a full version of this game. It's already nicely polished and was fun enough that I played through all 30 levels. With more slime synergies and a game loop with a fail state and higher difficulty curve I could see sinking hours into something like this. Well done!

Cute! The art and voice acting are very charming. The variety between the levels is also impressive for a jam game. Great job!

I'll do my best! Because it's a game jam game everything was implemented in a pretty sloppy way which might make it a challenge but I'll see if I can make it happen.

Feels great! I think you've got the right balance between weighty and floaty on the jump. To me when I used the hat attack it felt a little inconsistent because if I press it after a jump I gain height but if I press it during a jump I couldn't tell if I gained additional height or not. The wall jumping feels nice. A nitpick about it is that I would prefer to only initiate wall jumping if I move into the wall in the air. If I stand next to the wall and tap jump I don't necessarily want to automatically stick to the wall. That could be frustrating if there were little Goomba enemies or something I was trying to stomp on that were near a wall but then again I guess it's a lot easier to teach players to wall jump if they do it automatically. Love the new animations too. Can't wait to see more!

The game is Windows only. If you're on a Windows computer you download the zip file, extract it and then launch the .exe.
