good concept but the mechanic should have something more to it, the sprites also don't fit together too well, they should all be the same pixel size otherwise ,its good and liked the music.
Thanks for playing! I’m glad you liked the concept and music! We were aiming for a simple mechanic so we tried not to go too far into developing the mechanics, that’s why it’s simple! And thanks for the pixel art suggestion, definitely will be taken into consideration into future projects! Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback, I will definitely work on improving the sprites.
This is a really good take on the dying makes a platform variant of games. This one in fact being more interesting in my opinion. From the start I think that for your future project you should make sure to make your player controller as fun and satisfying to move around with as you can. Especially there was something wrong with the jump (reaaallly floaty). I think that your game idea can be managed well even with a really high gravity enviroument so you would be fine. For the next jam i would really suggest to find a great color scheme on for e.x Adobe Color which is amazing for them. Color schemes can really help your game look good with little art knowledge/skill. Its all about the colors. There is also a really good sfx website that only requires a shoutout in the description but they give your game so much depth, check it out https://www.fesliyanstudios.com/sound-effects-search.php?q=woosh thats just the "woosh" sounds and the list is huge. Overall a good game, enjoyable experience although there is stuff that could be improved on for your next jam attempt. Cheers!
Thanks for the feedback! I agree the player is really floaty, that’s a mistake on my part. I focused mostly on things like jump buffer and coyote time and didn’t notice the floatiness until it was too late. And thx for the tool suggestions! These could really help me out in the future. Color scheme is something I should look over more, I always leave it to the side; Though, I agree with using it more. And thx for the SFX generator, I planned on adding SFX to the game but since we were busy at the start of the jam, me and my friend made this game in under 24 hours, so we didn’t really have time. Thanks for the detailed feedback. Most definitely I’ll consider it in future projects! And I’m glad you liked the game :D
It has a nice flow! Great concept and art!
If you like mysterious, creepy theme and twin stick shooter with interesting mechanics, check out my game. Thx!
Thanks :D!
Sure thing, I'll give your game a shot!
Nice puzzle platformer, it does not give place to imprecision or you must restart all. The concept is simple but works. Great job.
Thanks! I'm glad you liked the game!
Liked the concept. Art and music were good. Player movement could be imporved slightly, maybe the player should be less floaty. Good job.
Thanks for playing! I'm really glad you enjoyed the game! Regarding the player movement, that's a mistake from my end. I didn't notice the floatiness until the very end. Other than that, I'm glad you enjoyed, Thanks!
I got stuck in one level because I placed the platform wrong and I needed to restart the whole game because of it, which was a bit frustrating. Maybe it would be a good idea to be able to remove the platforms?
But except for that, I had fun! I liked the pixel art and music :)
Thanks for playing! I understand the frustration of getting stuck sometimes, though I see it as a mechanic since the level is short, you have to be strategic with platform placements. You can always restart the level by pressing R. Though being able to remove the platform can be a good idea, thanks for suggesting it.
Other than that, I’m glad you enjoyed!
Really glad you liked the art!!
I have to be honest the music is increadibly good :D I love how the game looks its really charming. My only problem is the player feels floaty and you can increase the jumping force a little bit. Other than that small issue i enjoyed the game well done :D
Note:I would be happy if you could check out my game as well :d
Thanks for playing! I'm really glad that you enjoyed the music! I'm quite new to music production so this feedback is really heartwarming. Regarding the player, yea it's a mistake on my part. I focused mostly on polishing the main movement with stuff like jump buffering and coyote time and didn't notice the floatiness until the very end. Thanks for mentioning it, I'll consider it in future projects!
And don't worry, I'll check your game out :D!
Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you liked how the game looked!!
The gameplay is super clever! I had a very good tutorial!
Thanks :D, Glad you enjoyed it! I had originally planned an even better, and interactive tutorial, but due to time restrictions, I wasn't able to implement it fully. But nevertheless, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I like the art and sound but I can't figure out how to properly play because the scene transition won't finish. but what I was able to play was fun.
Could you please also try my game?
Thanks for playing! Glad you had fun! And if you don't mind, what do you mean "scene transition won't finish?" If it's a bug so I can fix it!
And no worries, I'll definitely check your game out :D!
Glad you liked the art!
It was interesting to play. Great idea and good mechanics! Good job!
Please check my game as well ;)
Hey, thanks for playing! I'm really glad you like the game!
