Really cool game with amazing visuals. Just triggered that one time when I ran into a bug :/

Developer

Thank you for playing it on stream. It was fun to watch you spam that error platform haha. Sorry about the soft lock bug. A fix is coming soon.

Really cool game and nice controls! Just the foreground background need some separation.

Developer

Hm yeah maybe I should increase the alpha on the foreground/background separation layer a bit. Thanks for giving it a go and commenting!

Great Game man. Love the art style, really nice visuals. The error windows bar is awesome

Developer

Thank you very much :) Put a lot of work into the visuals of this game - glad it seems to have paid off

I liked the music and most of the graphics… bloom or something made it hard to distinguish some of the foreground from background elements.

could have used a ‘look down’ option.. a few of the locations had blind drops that needed to avoid dangers. (common 2D platformer issue).

Developer

Thank you for playing and for your feedback! I tried my best to keep the foreground at a distinct value to separate it from the background while still making it one whole image. We didn't use any post processing so it's not bloom but the graphics themselves. Oh well, I hope it was still playable enough :)

A look down option would've been great, yeah. A smart, trigger-driven camera perhaps even better since we're already using the down arrow / s. The arrows are supposed to mitigate the issue a bit but a proper camera system for that stuff is obviously better. Maybe we'll do that in a post-launch-release some time.

Good game

Developer

Thanks!

Very fun to play! But it's hard to tell on which platform you can safely stand on...

Developer

Thank you for playing and taking the time to write a comment :)

Do you mean it's hard because of the glitches or just simply because of the original graphics?

Fun and innovating game. Hope to see more games like this :).

Developer

Thank you so much <3

Submitted(+1)

Can even say anything bad or missing on that game! Except that I'm probably a really bad Jump'n Run Player I guess... xD

Developer(+1)

Haha don't beat yourself up about it. It gets pretty damn hard :D

Submitted(+1)

Really great game with super good music!

I really like the error platform you can create!

The visuals are really good too!

Keep up the great work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a bunch, Affax! I still have to play yours haha

As the single artist and music maker on our team I can say that this was quite the stressful weekend lol - I'm glad you like the results however :)

Submitted(+1)

Love the music

Developer(+1)

Thank you <3

Made the music in like 1 hour or something. The time pressure was intense! I was a bit nervous about it since it usually takes me longer to make tracks but somehow it worked out haha.

Submitted(+1)

So good!!! ^^

Developer

Thanks!!! ^^

Submitted(+1)

Wow, It's long! Very nicely done, it's visible that there is a ton of work put into this. Though there are a few UNintentional bugs as well. :P At least it seems like. Since the jumping is sometimes buggy.

Developer

A ton of work indeed! Even with two programmers we didn't quite manage to keep all the bugs intentional, that's true ^^ I didn't notice any jumping bugs though, can you specify what felt buggy about the jumps?

Submitted(+1)

If you attack(?), and are holding any directional key, friction stops affecting you. Ultimately, you fall into pit.

Developer

Ah, thanks for specifying. Well that's actually sort of intended. Your character speed affects the force that knocks you back. If you figured that out you can actually abuse it to get some pretty extreme boosts forward. I think we could've done a better job at explaining that ^^

Submitted(+1)

Even if you hold the opposing direction, you're momentum doesn't cancel. If that's intended too, than I'm sorry.

Developer(+1)

Yeah I agree, that's kind of bad that you can't cancel it at all. The ability is definitely a little weird and needs more polish. Thank you very much for your insight.

Beautifull art. Quite classique, and some difficult jump.

Good Job

Developer

Thank you for the compliment on our art :)

Yeah some of the jumps, especially towards the end can get really tricky. You almost have to abuse the glitch pulse mechanic to get past the last section lol

Submitted(+1)

I liked the idea of enemies being momemtum based, and me creating error boxes

Developer

Thanks!

Beautiful art and the thumbnail really catch the eye. I really like the mechanics of creating error platforms below the character, it opens up a lot of interesting possibilities for level design. Fun game. Well done! :)

Developer

Thank you very much for the kind words! I'm really glad you like the art :)

I also love the glitch platform. It turned out to create some interesting combinatorics.

Submitted(+1)

Now what an beautiful game. How you used the theme was amazing in how you can  use "bugs" as a core mechanic. Now let me talk about the Visuals, STUNNING! Keep up the perfect work, this could be released in steam if worked on more :)

Developer

Thank you so much for your nice words. I'm happy you like our visuals since they took me almost all of the time I had during the jam. Lots and lots of painting haha :D

I'd love to spend more time on it eventually ^^

Host(+1)

I love the core mechanic of spawning an error message below me. The tileset looks super awesome. Level design and difficulty curve feel surprisingly well balanced for a jam game. When you introduce the stop sings it get a bit ridiculously hard, though... I don't think many people will be able to finish this game unfortunately. xD

Developer

Thanks man :) The tileset sure took a lot of time to make haha. Bonicle made some really cool levels with the mechanics our programmers gave him. Even if he may have gotten a bit evil towards the end lol.

Submitted(+1)

Gets interesting as you figure out you can use the platform also as a shield

Developer

Yeah I love the multi purpose design of the mechanics our programmers put in. Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

Nice game with great artwork and style.
Unfortunately the controls feelt a bit unprecise because of the slow deacceleration.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing our game and taking the time to comment :)

The controls take some time to get used to, that's true. Personally I like them, having played our game a bit more but I can see where you're coming from. Good luck with your entry!

Submitted(+1)

I made it the part where you introduce the error platform, but I didn't manage to make it up there using the error platform. The art and music are good, but the camera can be a bit buggy (unintentional) and sometimes the doors don't work properly so you spawn outside of the level. For example, in the second level go through the door below the starting door and then try to get back.

Developer

Thank you for playing and your feedback! I'm glad you like our art and music :)

The buggy doors and camera are pretty annoying, yeah. Sadly we didn't quite manage to fix all the issues in time. We may upload a post-jam version with the game breaking bugs fixed.
