Hey, I saw your game on twitter!
Luckily, I got here through the random submissions and was pleasantly surprised.
What an amazing and well polished game! It is really impressive you manage to do that on the jam time scope, so congratulations on the incredible entry!
I thought the game was a bit too hard for me, but I guess if a practice a bit more it might be well balanced :)
D'aww, your making me blush. Thanks for the kind words and taking the time to play it :) Just checkout yours and really enjoyed it as well.
Very well done and polished game! I love the details like the bullet shells and shaking screen. The coffee pot fight was my favorite, it felt like a real boss fight. I know players should hold down the mouse to fire, but I would give the option to fire once with a single click. Also, the camera could follow you a little faster, as it's hard to see what you might hit into when running quickly.
Overall, it was awesome and I hope to see more!
Great Game! It was so smooth to play, the controls were really tight which I loved. The game art also looked fantastic, the minor details put into the signs were amazing. The boss animations were also great, the indicators were clear and gave us enough time to react to the situation while still being challenged. Would've loved to have to camera snap a little bit faster to the player tho but still an amazing experience even with the current system. Being able to gold down the mouse button instead of repeatedly having to press it was also such an amazing detail to add. Amazing work!
really fun game, hits all the boxes from graphics to sound to gameplay
only wish there were checkpoints after each boss
also when you can get hit by several bullets at the same time from the boss which can reduce your health from max to zero in an instant. some invincibility frames after getting hit would be nice
but still a great game, good job 👍
I had fun playing this one. And I think it's the one I played the longest so far. Very nice sprite work and design. Extra points for the reference. I enjoyed being assistant regional monster.
Hey! It's assistant TO THE regional monster ;) Thanks for playing!
Very nice game and very well polished! The only thing I'd recommend is, since it is intended to press down the shoot button all the time, to have screen shake only when the bullets hit an an enemy, otherwise the constant minor screen shake can make you a bit dizzy. Other than that pretty solid game!
This game was absolutely beautiful. I really liked your art style and the design of the player and the boss is just fantastic. The boss fight was challenging but not too hard and i really enjoyed the mechanics. All in all a really fun game i played multiple times;)
really good game loved the art and the concept of the game good job
Awesome game, the gameplay was nice and fun.
I just felt the camera was weird when moving up and down the main corridor, hard to see what was above or below you.
*Was the boss name a The Office reference?! =)
I strong mechanic with fun bosses, and a nice artstyle. I appreciate that I was able to keep on shooting while keeping the button pressed. I like the sense of urgency and how well communicated I am of what's going on.
Great game. I really like the art style and has great music. The boss bar really adds tension to your game and I always had pressure to do what the boss was asking me. Great game!
Beautiful game, with good music and sound effects.
Music does cut out at times at random it seams.
Bosses were real fun! And the added timer to beat them really put some pressure on!
Shooting pencils and scissors were super!
What to say... this is an very good little game!
I got a few lil issues, such as collectible items getting spawned over furnitures (so cannot collect them).
Otherwise, it's beautiful, well executed. It's a great entry!
the game is really good and fun, the only bug i found is that when you die you can still shoot. however the boss are pretty fun, the game is not hard but neither too easy, overall great job!
The game is well polished! One thing that can be further developed is how the bosses attack, by not limited to shoot bullets only.
This was awesome! As others have mentioned the only thing I didn't like was the excessive camera shake.
Great game! Tons of polish and really solid gameplay. A little difficult for me, but I also don't play these types of games very often. Loved the art too. My only complaint with this one is that having a camera shake on every shot fired was a bit much for me, but at least the shake itself was fairly subtle. Only a minor nuisance though. Definitely didn't keep from having a blast with your game.
the camera smoothing is so slow that the player just walks off screen and runs into flies that I can't see. also something is wrong with the bullet shooting, sometimes its like the gun gets jammed and doesn't do anything for a short bit. art is really nice though
Hmm...sounds like I might have a bug with firing? I'm not having that issue but, I'll see if I can track it down. The mouse controls the camera (maybe I should have made that more clear). So you should be able to look wherever you want. Thanks for the feedback!
aah okay i didn't realize that with the camera. i have no idea whats happening with the firing tho, might just be something on my end
