Whoah very shocking! Great use of theme, very well done.
Is very nice, I watched on twitch, is not really my jam, but I can see is a cool game 😊
Really liked the FMV style and ambience! It was just a little bit too hard for me, especially when you die and have to se all the animations of the boy turning around again, it could make the gameplay flow better if the player could jump the videos (if this is already a feature, i could not find it, sorry) but it would be awesome to see a full game with this style and more gameplay. Also, the jumpscares really got me haha.
What was most unexpected for me wasn't the monsters, but the fact that you and I both submitted games that featured real life kids! (I even briefly considered doing an FMV version for mine, too!)
The visuals were absolutely phenomenal. I can see that you are an amazing visual storyteller.
Thanks that's awesome. This was whipped up in a matter of hours I have alot of years film making experience so made the jump recently to FMV games got lots in the pipeline some pretty ambitious projects and some quirky little things like this. Thanks for playing and I'd be interested to see any FMV stuff you end up doing
Very unique experience. Polished and unexpected. Not fun for me but still managed to try awhile because it had me in suspense..I'll try this again in a dark room later :)
There is a little more to it if you stick with it I can send you a solution if you just want to get to the end
This game has some really nice aesthetics to it. Honestly I wasn't scared of the horrifying jumpscares, they were kinda expected judging by the screenshots of the game. But I think that's okay, I had a horror game that not many would get scared, so I just got like mixed reviews. Nonetheless, its a pretty cool game!
Thanks this was thrown together as a bit of a test really as for over a decade I have made indie horror movies and I am now branching out into games. Utilizing alot of old footage I have I've been really impressed with the feedback I have had from it the aesthetics has been the thing its been praised on the most and that really pleases me going into the bigger projects I am working on as I feel I have carried over that aspect. Thanks again for playing
interesting game, i felt uncomfortable from the beginning, i am not a fan of screamers but neither i hate it, I think that the atmosphere of the game is creepy enough. cool experience in general.
Thanks it was thrown together very quickly hence why i focused more on the screamer aspect but i do have plans to make a more fuller creepy game based on the footage in the future as i have a lot from that shoot to make an interesting more story driven experience. but yes for what this is for something i threw together in a matter of hours i am happy with the responses its getting thanks for playing .
The atmosphere and visuals is real good in this game. The gameplay idea was okay, but it got a bit boring watching the same clips again and again and again and again. Overall was this a pretty good but also a bit too long jam game.
Thanks yes I agree I think the initial few scenes repeat too much the game actually differs a bit further into it but I did throw it together pretty quick. Thanks for feedback really appreciate it
Hey! I was really impressed that you managed to take a relatively simple gameplay concept and create a really unnerving/spooky creation out of it. Especially just utilizing one screen! I wish there was more to interact with and that there was a bit more variation, but I think you really nailed what you were going for. Great job :)
Thanks yes it was kinda thrown together it does differ towards then end but a bit too hard and long winded to get there haha thanks
Man, screamers is soooo expected in this kind of games :) Can't finish, Tired of watching the same vids, sorry. But I like the atmoshere. And the lack of the "Skip" and "Restart" buttons is a mess)
Thanks for your honesty it does get a bit weirder and more "unexpected" the further you get into it. But it was literally whipped up in a few hours so it is a bit sloppy
Oh my god that scared the crap out of me the first time! Not too sure what to do but you got me good and I have to give points for that lol. Definitely unexpected.
Thanks , Yeah its basically trial and error to find a route through the game and gets proper weird near the end. theres actually 3 different routes through the game thanks for playing
It's mainly a case of trial and error there's 3 routes through the game it gets proper weird from screen 6 onwards here is a solution to get you part way through the game then your on your own haha W=wait L=left R=Right 1.W 2.L 3.W 4.W 5.W 6.W
Nice seem to be a fair few streams and YouTube vids of it too and this is just a simple game I hope I get this sort of reaction from my bigger projects
This game remenber me some game of tension that i had played some years ago where the player have some options of where he can move and wich what can interact, and depending what road you take you can find the end of the game or die.
thanks yeah that's basically what i was going for this has 3 seperate paths you can take through the game and it leads to a shocking ending . but it really is a case of trial and error to find the route. thanks for playing
This one is really distrubing...
You could add volume setting.
Thanks it is a little messed up, did you make it to the end? Good shout with the Volume i was strapped for time so i threw it together in a matter of hours to submit in time, Volume controls or Even better mixed audio is certainly something i will look into as the audio levels are all over the place. Thanks for playing
