I love this twist on a classic platformer genre. This would make for a really nice Metroidvania style platformer where you unlock abilities like the collision bug and then return to prior areas to explore them with the new ability. Definitely some legs on this idea. The game was a bit challenging for me but I'm willing to admit it's a skill issue. Nicely done!

Last night we were talking about it with VegiVampire. It would be nice to evolve this idea to a full version metroidvania :)
It’s very fun to play. Liked the jumping sound. You know, one of the enemies in my game is also called the “Collison Bug”!
Amazing work!
Really enjoyed playing this! The hand-drawn art gives it so much charm and personality.
If I’m being picky, the jump felt a bit stiff (I get that it’s part of the gravity bug), hate to admit how it took me a few tries to get past the first ledge lol .
Also, switching between Q/E and F/R was a bit tricky layout-wise.
But overall, super fun experience!
All kudos to VegiVampire here. He made a great job on art and level designs. Yeah, I can agree that the key layout would be better. Overall, thanks for your kind comment <3
Great game. I really liked the meter in the background as it balances out the usage of the bugs and gives you a reason not to just spam them wherever you go. The art was quiet cute and reminded me of the deep dark a bit. Very fun platformer!
The game is really fun and the visuals, music, sound effects, inspiration all fit into the theme really well. I like the unlocking of abilities and using them interchangeably in the later levels. The gravity effect feels really good and felt solid. The only improvement I would say is the difficulty of the platforming. Seems like it shouldn't be the main focus to be that challenging especially with such little room for error. Making it a bit easier will let the player enjoy the different mechanics much more deeply. But overall great job on the game!
PS. love me a good robot doing splits with its jump :D
Ahahah if you can do splits you can do anything :D Thank you for your valubale feedback. We made platforming difficult and wanted to make the game challenging to prepare you for the boss fight in the end. If you can make it to the boss you are going to pass the boss level without any issue i am sure of it. But yes we might have done it a little bit too hard :D
I'm bad at platforming lmao, very cool game; i loved the art.
I like the consistency in both level design and art style. And the idea of using bugs as a mechanic for platformer is neat. Gameplay wise it's pretty smooth as a platformer. The control is a little slippery but I can get used to. My only complaint is that the "bugs" both visually and in a gameplay sense feel like normal platformer mechanics (hidden walls and reverse gravity), which don't feel like repurposed coding errors. But that's just my personal opinion. Good work overall.
Thanks for the valuable feedback LekoTopaz. Main idea is we are bugging the game system to reach the unreachable and it angers the "Anti Bug Bot" which you see him at every checkpoint looking for us and in the end he finally finds us but i completely got your point and i thank you for that :) its always good and constructive to see from a different point of view :) i hope you can give it a second chance and finish it to see the ending.
This one was right up my alley. I love tough technical platformers with tight jumps and I liked the puzzles that were incorporated. All around well-made. Nice matching art style and the sound/music was very fitting as well.
Incredible, very good gameplay, beautiful art, and the bugs as mechanics are fun. I also liked how you organized the map.
I really like the art. My honest suggestions: maybe auto-restart when player is 'dead'. Also, at least one more checkpoint in the beginning, for not-as-good-at-platformers-people, like me :)
I played ur game to the end the it was perfect. it was my first time playing reverse gravity game and i enjoyed it so much, the SFX and musics were perfectly done. the art style was cool in my opinion. the difficulty was perfect. i love difficult games and i had fun playing this game. i saw some little bugs, like collecting coin after death and no restart button on controller. i played with controller and is was smooth , very good. great idea and mechanic. GL <3
Very fun, I liked the pixel art, although it would be nice if some of the jumps were more forgiving
The difficulty curve is a little rough towards the beginning. There are a couple of jumps that are impossible to pass without running the full length of the ledge. It would help a lot of the character could accelerate faster. Overall it wasn't bad, it's cute and has some great art and ideas.
