This CINEMA. Very good entry on all front, very satisfying platforming and nice art, I HIGHLY enjoyed it! That end part is an absolute highlight, I really hope you folks are proud of the end product.

My only silly little gripe is that, while the various abilities you get are called bugs in the game, to me personally they didn't really feel like I was using bugs to complete it

The art is great, I feel the game was a bit too close from a rage game which is sad because the mechanic were fun , there was however some moving mechanic that felt weird, the character sliding inertia for example

The gravity mechanic is super fun! The art and polish make it stand out too. If the controls and feedback were a bit clearer it would feel less punishing and more satisfying, but overall it’s already a really cool platformer!

Wow, the art and the parallax background screen are amazing.  Without reading the instructions I would not have realized I needed to press 'R' to restart after dying. I was just stuck in the death animation and a bit confused. Other than that, the use of coyote time when jumping off platforms was well done. A lot of platformer love was nestled into this gem. I really enjoyed this a lot!

Great job, love the cute artstyle. Overall a pretty solid platformer, if a bit rage-y. The gravity mechanic reminded me of VVVVVV. Good amount of polish for a gamejam game!

I did feel like theme interation wise, the bugs kinda didn't feel buggy enough. like, my initial expectation was that i'll be able to walk through all walls or that gravity would be off and I would float and would have to use the inertia to navigate. Same with the stability, eventually I just get zapped, but nothing particularly buggy happened. The actual mechanics are not bad at all, Just didn't necessarily feel buggy or errory.
Also, the gravity flipping mechanic felt a little bit unintuitive, I feel like the way the inertia buildup worked just didn't really jam with my brain (specifically in that boss escape level where you have to float in the middle) like, the first flip it kinda accelerates suddenly, and then it is sort of smooth/maybe some inertia gets carried over, idk. hard to say, probably it's just skill issue hehe.

but to bring the example of VVVVVV, IIRC that game didn't carry any inertia over to the gravity flip, so while it was challenging it felt very consistent. Might be worth experimenting with.

Nitpicks aside though, great job :)

Really nice game with great theme integration and a unique game health system! I love the music and sound effects!

Polished game with good integration of the theme but I didn't like the sheer amount precision jumps.

Cool theme and has some pretty nice arts.

I understand you said below that jumps are tested, but like many people have said, the margin of errors feel too thin so I didn't feel as fun playing it as you intended. The mechanics are cool and there some tricks you can do to the platforms that seem new to me.

I like the sound design as well, but still feel some are still a bit lacking like footstep sounds.

mb I wasnt as good as BordoP playin it but i I like it.

Very nice game idea, especially a polished execution!

I didn't like how the game revolved around precision pixel jumps, it felt like I was supposed to press the jump button within a time window to progress (I didn't feel 100% in control)

That said, it was a nice game to spend time with! Congrats on your submission :)

Yeah we wanted to keep game on challenging and engaging point. But just got carried away about level design i guess :D Thanks for playing <3

Great pixel art, great use of the theme and a very polished game in general. I found the platforming too hard for me though with the low height of the jumps.

Developer

All jumps calculated :D I know that some platforms really painfull but if you can pass first level, you have my word you can finish the game!

Artwork is wonderful and the player controller feels satisfying to use. The overall theme mechanic is sorta similar to what I tried but I fear done better. I'm surprised on how polished the game is with the timeframe and how enjoyable it was.

I was also wondering if the stability percentage was supposed to go down while a bug is active or only go down the 10% once used because I found that I could just turn a bug on once and not really have to turn it off usually?

Developer

Thanks for your kind comments. And yes the stability bar only goes down when you active/deactivate a bug. Would be good if it was decreasing by time while the bug active. Thanks for advice!
