I was blown away by the amount you've gotten done, loved the concept, loved how you built the robots. I just wish there was more there.

This was fantastic, and horribly underrated.  **************For people stuck, when you initiate conversation, you have to hit a or d to pick what you want to talk about.  ***********   I fear many gave up on this game because of this issue.  Please give it a second chance, it has a lot of charm.

This game was amazing! One of my favourites this jam. The character animations were so creative and full of life, you used the assets in such a clever way. The writing was next level too, really funny, and you built a very strange, unsettling world.

Honestly super impressed by this game. If I had any critiques it would probably be the UI, I think the dialogue window could be a bit more clear. The colour palette was good but just a little off at times with some objects not standing out very well.

Overall this was a blast to play and I'm glad I found it. I hope this game gets more eyes on it, well done!

Loved the theme and the story, loved the characters animations!

I almost gave up the game because I was completely blocked right after starting the game, I didn't notice the mechanics conversation, I restarted the game 3 times to see if it was some kind of bug or something, I had to come here and read some of the comments saying the same thing to learn how to continue playing.

After that I completed the story. Use of assets are kind of basic but anyway is an enjoyable game. Good job!

Thanks! I know the overworld is sort of mundane, but that's because I was really focusing on trying to make the character designs out of the art pack. Like how your character has a mouse for a head, and has a shield for an eye. And yeah, sorry about getting stuck at the beginning, I really wish I'd had time to make that more clear...

The robots animations are great, very creative and cute!

I really like the charm the game had, the weird character gave it a very unsettling but also interesting vibe. I agree with some other commenters that the way you use items can be a bit more intuitive but for the rest I enjoyed the game a lot.

Really fun adventure with interesting characters, pleasing color pallets and atmospheric audio design. I was confused at first because of the small menu when you interact with people. Something like an arrow would make it more obvious that it's a menu where you're selecting an item out of many. Overall I had a great time, great job!

Was a bit confusing to pick up at first, but was very interesting after. Really well done on the character movement in dialog, and stitching art together.

I can't even open that gate on the second screen..

Developer

After you talk to the guard, you have go back to your dad and talk about safety, by selecting the second option in the panel the opens up when you interact with characters.

Developer

Where did you get stuck? There are some parts that are a little unclear because of the time constraints.

I liked the story; and the way those characters were done was quite cool. The scene with the car made me smile, very well done sir :)
A few points there one can improve would be:
1) better music - it was the thing I disliked the most, it got annoying really fast; it had noticeable cut in the loop; it cut off when moving between areas
2) specific to this gamejam - you made font out of provided letters, but left spacing between letter too big, so text just doesn't look good
3) probably it would be better to use that tileset with cell size of 14x14 instead of 16x16 - quite a few tiles have noticeable gaps between them.
