It is well made and I liked the small touch with the sound thing. The only thing I missed is an intro screen. As soon as the game loaded it immediately started. I didn't expect that and lost most of my health.
Appreciate the feedback! Will consider an intro screen next time ;)
A very solid RAIDEN / 1942 style shoot em up / bullet hell game. Could use a bit more polish, but burn out happens and it still felt great to play!
Yeah I had some other things planned when the low period struck. Next time perhaps! Thank you for the kind words :)
Nice and simple gameplay, I like the use of the assets here to make something completely different. I also noticed the sound coming out more in one side as I moved to that side in game too, nice detail there aha
Thank you very much :)!
Nice little shoot em' up! I really enjoyed the use of the assets to create the ships the boot on the player asset did not go unnoticed :D the upgrades to the gun were nice, and I was glad that they didn't expire at all, very nice. Maybe some kind of shield upgrade would be good, as later on I was being bombarded on every side and it was very difficult to dodge (I'm not fantastic at bullet hell games in fairness!)
Good job!
Yeah there's all kinds of upgrades one could still do. And no worries, am not great at bullet hells either! This is just what the assets inspired me to do. Thanks for the feedback!

Much appreciated :)!
It's simple, and it works. Not a lot to say here, it's a SHMUP and well executed. I'm not sure how useful the side powerups are tho, since most of the time I actually have to stick to the bottom of the screen due to the bullet hell.
Good job on the game!
Thanks for the feedback :)!
Very creative use of the assets! I love how you repurposed them. The game has good feel but it's too short, but nothing to complain here as it's for a game jam!
Thanks! Yeah I knew from the beginning that there would be only one level. Maybe once the jam is over I'll go over it and do some polishing and adding of content!
It was really fun, unfortunately it only had one level ;-;
With some more levels this can definitely become a really cool game, the use of assets to make the ships was really interesting.
Something that doesn't seem quite right is that, in fullscreen mode at least, you can move your ship to the sides of the screen, I'm almost sure you can't receive damage if you're there since it seems like bullets dont reach you, but you can still shoot. It made it way too easy to defeat the boss, especially with the sideways shoot upgrade.
As you can see, I'm at the left of the screen haha.
Other than that, I don't think I found any problems. It's one of the best games I've played of the jam, I really enjoyed it.
Oh shit haha! I sort of noticed you could go very far to the sides but I never looked at that properly. That would deffo be something to fix. Thanks for the feedback!
Fun game! Really love how creative you were with the assets!
Thank you :)
Cool stuff^^
Game is very simple buy hey good work publishing it^^
Nice how you managed to create ships out of the art kit!
Thank you very much :)!
I liked your use of the 'cloaks' as space ships. That's super creative! The first two power ups seemed unsatisfying as the directions they shot did not seem to help me much. Cool game!
I had shortly considered to use a more forward angle for the additional projectiles... that might have worked better.
Thanks for the feedback!
Fun to play and great looking game :-)
Thank you :)
Good use of assets, the enemy ship placement was good and varied, it felt like a real top down ship shooter. The shooting sound was very grating though, especially with no music. I got to the final boss and I'm pretty sure I got one shot from full health in like half a second, not sure if that was intentional but it was very jarring.
Yeah when I initially added the sounds I kind of hated them, but I got used to them after a while ^^;
Also I guess you were hit by the boss's blue beam ? The idea behind that was that you want to avoid that completely; hence the charging animation. But I can see how dying immediately is probably too much.
Thanks for the feedback!
Nice use of assets!
Thank you, appreciate it!
Music would be cool. Funny little game. Well done! :)
Yeah I would have probably added if I had had the energy to work on the game longer... next time perhaps ;)
And thanks for the kind words!
kewl spaceships !
Thanks! :)
