Very solid character, controller and camera. Needs audio and a win condition or maybe a boss. Other than these small qualms, sweet offering.

That plays really well, and I'm surprised how smooth that camera feels at 64x64.

Well done!

This was a classic top down shooter with mouse controls. There is no “win” condition even after clearing out all of the enemies. I would also love to know how you created the mini-map from the random generation.

This is surprisingly complete... Smooth camera controls and wall collisions, a minimap, a frickin pause menu?! For Gob's sake people it's practically AAA at this point xD

If this a game in bad condition, I can't imagine ever making a good one. If you had 1 or 2 more enemies and some sound effects, I could play this for hours!

Wowser! That was tough! Good game - I enjoyed! Controls are good - though I'm not a fan of mouse/key combos (probably as I have a laptop...) and another control method with a fire button and just shoot in direction facing. Graphics are good and a bit different to most - gives them a nice character. I would definitely like to see what you do with this as  a very solid foundation!

This isn't bad at all. Unless I missed it, I'd say next time slap a reset button on there. I would have shot up the little blobs for awhile and enjoyed watching your procedural levels. There's definitely a base for something here. Fuego entry!

very nice game! after I managed to kill some monsters I got myself killed by the spikes in the floor...

You and I have very different definitions of "very bad condition". You have a really good foundation here. I like your pixels - great scale for the 64 resolution  - everything is readable and the viewport isnt too crowded. If you do continue work on this, some simple things to consider adding:

  • This game could greatly benefit from a "shoot/fire" sound effect and a "hit" sound effect, at minimum. If you didn't add any other sounds, those too would help provide so much feedback to your players and they are pretty simple/basic sounds to come by.
  • Camera shake is pretty easy to add (you already have a nice working camera system in place) and adds so much to a shooter.
  • Push Back. For enemies and the player when they get hit. Possibly to the player when they fire. Again, adds so much feedback and "weight" to the gameplay.

Wow. Thanks. I am pleased to see such a review. I will take into account your wishes and try in the future to add them to the game.

I get some Nuclear Throne vibes on this one! :p I had fun playing it, gg.
