Really great idea! I like the art, and it seems like the start of a full and fun game!
However, it was really hard to figure out what I even needed to do at the start, at once I got it, it felt way too difficult to actually make meaningful progress.
I think some tutorial/explanatory stuff and a smoother curve would really help this game a lot!
But overall, great work!

Great concept, but the bugs (final battle not working properly), the lack of explanation in game, and the amount of grinding made it hard to enjoy. I still had fun, but this could definitely use some more work. It's a great idea and a great start, though. I never did get to see the 3 enemies together becoming strong, which is a shame cause that sounded cool. I liked the music but got annoyed when it kept restarting. Maybe use an autoload next time?

Hey I played your game during my playtesting stream, you can checkout the broadcast at around 1:19:00 here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/993228377

Really liked the concept, but when I saw the stats of the boss I didn’t try to go much further, felt like the farming needed would take ages!

Combat could include more strategic options (attack/defend/…)

Hey reallly liked this game

everything about it was executed well

but it was just too "grindy" for a game jam game

other than that, its a good submission!

Interesting concept, I feel like it could've been expanded a bit. The lack of ability to heal was a little detrimental, because of the level of rng needed to progress. Plus the boss was unkillable which means there's nothing to really work towards. The art and sound was great though! There were also couple bugs.

Nice, I had to reread the game description to figure out the 7 themed part! That was very interesting. I think it was hard to figure out what the 4 numbers did next to the player sprite and next to the opponent during battle. I think it has promise!

An interesting concept and I was definitely looking forward to it when I dived in, and the mechanics were interesting and the core idea had some promise.  Though I was a bit underwhelmed to only find one level and seemingly not working roguelike mechanics.  The idea of rolling to get artifacts and such could definitely have some promise, but it's also really heavy on rng and enemy placement felt very weird without continually checking the itch page.

As well most of the time I was playing I was invincible due to a bug that made it so that I just.. never died.  Which definitely trivialized a lot of stuff, until I reached the boss and found out that he was invincible too, which was... interesting.  Then it just returned to the menu somewhat?  It was weird.

Not to mention the fact that the artifacts seemed to give me a lot of duplicates that never actually affected my stats.  Specifically when I ended up needing to reload with F5 due to the bug during fights causing me to be stuck in them.

I feel like I’m missing part of the mechanic. Do enemies persist on the tiles you encountered them on? If so, it would be nice to have some indication. I think this is the case because I occasionally fought multiple different enemies on a tile.

I went around fighting smaller enemies until I got to Level 6 and was easily killing everything I encountered and then tried fighting the boss and he slaughtered me!

I’m not sure I would want to fight small enemies long enough to be able to deal with the boss, especially since it’s so heavily based on RNG.

It seems like there are some pieces here for a neat little game. I think they need a better explanation and some polish and fleshing out, but it’s a good start.

fun game and i liked the visuals ,but there is a bug when you  get  killed the battle never ends ,and i think you need add some way to heal your self

Was fun to play, I only wished I would have seen any way of defeating that boss, but I fear I don't really know if I'm expected to keep fighting smaller enemies to level up? For that, a healing feature would be nice.

But overall really good job - love the art, music and features of the game!

A nice idea but it seems to be a few bugs. I did also run into a few of those as mtkimmins mention.

And idear could be to expand the battle system. A healing thing would be nice

Hi Raeg Studios, good stuff. I think there is a lot of room to expand and add. The graphics were cute. Controls were a bit hard to initially figure out. I'm not sure what the items do at the top of the screen. I do love me a good battle tho, I like this sort of game. I like the battle music switch.

A few bugs I noticed:

-I dont take any damage in battles (except for when the boss stomps me, haha)

-An additional enemy icon shows up upon arriving at the boss circle.

-I can continually click "Battle" well after the boss kills me, playing the failure music over.

-The main music loop repeats after every dice roll, even with no enemy encounter.

-Health momentarily goes negative when something dies.

Yea, known those bugs. Not really game breaking so I just left it. Don't really have much time and this is a one man studio, btw. There are many plans for the game like tutorials, power up plots (circles), shops. Just like in the Dokapon Kingdom but prob can't do it on my own haha. About the items, there are descriptions on it on the game's itch.io page. The damage system is very simple, enemy attack - player defense, that's it. Lol. Anyways, thanks for playing and glad you like it?
