Loved the game tho, the puzzles made my tinny little brain suffer lol but it was worth it :D

Developer(+1)

I am glad the difficulty was worth something! so out of curiosity, could you finish the game?

Submitted(+2)

I really liked this one! The atmosphere is kinda reminiscing of bastion/transistor, but it is it's own thing at the same time. Puzzles are quite more complex than meet the eye and the theme is very fitting. I missed using the "charge floor" ability more, but nevertheless it is a fully fledged game already. Congratulations!

Developer(+1)

Being Compared to Bastion or Transistor is an honor! Thanks!

Submitted(+2)

Such a nice story and ambiance! An great puzzles too! I would maybe just make the controls with the mouse more like Photon goes where you click (but that means pathfinding and everything...). An excellent entry with really clever puzzles and a good game feel! Congrats!

Developer(+2)

Thanks a lot!

I tried out your game but I got stuck on the second level and had no idea what to do. I found the moving sound to be quite repetitive and annoying. I could not handle it and I had to stop playing. Maybe a better tutorial next time?

Developer (1 edit)

I personally tone down the SFX sound in the menus (press Esc for the pause menu) when I play, so I do sympathize with the move sound. It's unfortunate that the 2nd level isn't solvable for you, but I do appreciate you checking out the game.

Really polished game with a good story. I liked the self narrated nature of the game, totally different from an isometric puzzle. Great game with a lot of care given to it.

Developer

Thank you! So glad you enjoyed. It was a great learning experience.

Beautiful pixel art and i really liked the intro cinematic !

I also enjoyed the fact that you can control the game with mouse only this makes it pretty chill and is also a plus for accessiblity,  i also like the fact that photon hints you on some things without just giving away the solution and also not needing a tutorial.

On the flip side this makes figuring some situations out a bit hard, personally i got stuck at the part where you can reactivate security bots but couldn't figure out what to do, i found a distant switch but as soon as i pulsed to activate it the bot killed me so this is as far as i went.

Now that being said this is still a totally solid game and i had fun playing it

Good job :)

Developer(+2)

Thanks for checking it out and for the exelent feedback! If you happen to want to know the ending you can pass through levels with F10

No problem, Good to know, i'll check it out then :)

Wow, what a complex game you've made! Puzzles are hard enough. The design is pretty,  the little details such as toolboxes and piles of rubble are adding so much to the feeling of abandonment. The music reminded me of Va-11 Hall-A a little.
But the WASD movement in isometric space confused me a little :( And one more thing, it was a little annoying that Photon was moving one step at a time.
Overall, I really liked your game, it's great!

Developer

Thank you for checking the game out. In retrospect we could have put a lot of the QoL features in the game, but hindsight is always 20/20. Thank you for pointing it out! It'll be a good learning lesson for our future projects.

Amazing game, both visually and in gameplay!

The only gripe I had was lack of undo button (or more checkpoints).

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback. A undo button is an interesting suggestion!
Glad you enjoyed it.
Cheers

The game is extremely well-made! It's obvious that you guys put a lot of time into polishing it -- the graphical presentation was especially well-done, and the game is great at teaching the mechanics.

Developer

Thanks. It really means a lot to us. We put a lot of soul into the project!

Submitted(+1)

And that definitely shines through! Great work. 😄

This is an amazing game. The story especially was fantastic. I love the little dialog snippets during the levels and you did a great job at teaching the rules of the game. Sadly I wasn't able to beat the last level. I tried it for about an hour and got past the first section once, than got cought by one of the bots and couldn't reproduce what I did to escape the beginning area.

Developer(+2)

Thanks. There is a HINT section in the blog, and if you cant get past the last level, you can always pass it with F10 if you want to see the ending! Thanks for the kind words!

Submitted(+2)

I did that and the ending was great. Im just a little sad because I'm too stupid to beat the level and the hints didn't help much.

Developer (2 edits) (+2)

Don't feel too bad. I got stuck on the last level for quite a while as well and ended up asking extra hints, so you are not alone LOL. If we have more time we could add some in-between levels to drill the concept more. But it's a game jam and time is short. Thank you for checking out the game! P.S. We updated the hints section a little bit more and hopefully that might help a bit

I just watched the video and wooow I would never have figured it out.

Loved this.  The art is great and the story is too.  The puzzles are great also.  I was not expecting a puzzle game when I first started playing this.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for checking the game out! Glad you enjoyed it!

Very well made game. I love the art, meaningful and proper difficulty curve. My only personal complaint is WASD movement in isometric space, but I seem to always have trouble with that kind of stuff.

Developer(+1)

I totally share your concern with the WASD movement in isometric games. I personally prefer mouse input more than keyboard input when playing this game. Glad you enjoyed the game!

Submitted(+2)

Awesome puzzle game with great pixel art and atmosphere. All the game mechanics complement each other very well. Few buttons were a bit hidden behind other objects and the difficulty got really hard for me at the end. Really good game nonetheless.

Developer(+2)

Yhea, last level may be a bit too much. There is a Hint section in the blogpost if anyone needs it. Happy that you liked it!

Submitted(+2)

Great work! The only thing that annoys me is that I have to press forward for every stop instead of holding it :D But the rest is very good!

Developer(+2)

me too haha. Noticed it just now, that I had to play it through and through a couple of times when uploading. Thanks!

Great game, very complete in every aspect

Developer(+1)

thanks John. Glad you liked it.

Great art and mechanics! and very on theme as well! The design of the environments reminds me a lot of the old Mega Man Battle Network games. Its cool to see how much can be accomplished with a team! Great job!

Developer(+3)

For a bunch of strangers at the start of the jam, I think we worked pretty well together! Thanks for checking the game out!

Submitted (1 edit) (+3)

I played a sympathetic story game after a long time.. and Damn it! U all have killed it.. Probably the best jam entry i played so far.. The comic in the starting and the dialogues are eyecatchy. The music is on Topnotch. I went till 3 levels till got killed by the ball.. I will play it again

Developer (1 edit) (+2)

Thanks for checking the game out! It's real nice having a super talented Art and Music team. (Everyone besides me is an artist LOL) Hope you can find out what happened to Photon at the end!

Submitted(+3)

Great puzzle game!   It kinda made me want to play Into the Breach for some reason 😅

Developer (1 edit) (+2)

Maybe the robots, the grid and the isometric perspective haha. Glad you liked it! (and the pixel art! haha)

Submitted(+3)

Interesting puzzle mechanics + cute characters. Good job!
