Fantastic concept, I had lots of fun playing it. Loved the graphics as well.

Developer(+1)

Thank you, that means a lot!

Hella addicting! Definitely not skilled enough to go all the way but I still had fun struggling ahaha

Developer(+1)

The ending section tripped up quite a few people, we wanted something pretty challenging to end it on. Thank you for playing!

Submitted(+2)

Played for over 10 minutes.

Developer

Given we were worried it might have been too short, that's relieving to hear!

This game is great! I got a time of 9:13

Developer

That seems pretty close to the average from what I've seen. Thank you for playing!

Submitted(+2)

this game is insane!  very fun

Developer

Haha, thank you very much!

I have a really big feeling this is going to be at least in the top hundred. Please play and give an honest rating to my game? :)/😢

Developer

That would be pretty crazy, there are a lot of great games this jam!

Submitted(+2)

Aww, that was really great. Between the quaint & cute blip-y pixel vibes, smooth gameplay, & airtight level design, this one's really easy to love. Good job, y'all!

Developer(+1)

That means a lot, thank you!

Really cool game!!! I love the coding of the color aspect ;3

Developer(+1)

We're glad we managed to make it feel intuitive. Thank you for playing!

Wonderful game with impressive art and a fun concept. The overall experience was well-polished, and it was enjoyable to figure out the mechanics. Great job!

Developer

Happy to hear it, thank you for playing!

Nice game with wonderful art and a fun take on the theme. The experience was well-polished and this could definitely be expanded further. A really fun game overall!

Developer

Thank you so much! We're definitely considering doing more with the game.

Nice work! I enjoyed my time with this. The visual design was done very well, I was onboarded to the mechanics very quickly. Most of the levels were short enough that I could do trial/error with different abilities to see how they worked, which was nice I didn't have to wait around for a while (with the exception of the final room where I tried a bunch of different things at the end and had to wait around a bit to see how it worked each time). The game is very well polished, the aesthetic comes together quite nicely, it's impressively done.

Developer

Thank you! A fast forward button has been mentioned quite a bit and is definitely something we'll look into if we do work on the game more in the future. The ending has a lot of waiting because we didn't want to give the player another checkpoint as the idea was to use all of your colours at once. I'm glad you appreciated the work we put in, thanks again!

while the concept of control the player with the floor is pretty neat, i have a few nitpicks that are mostly what i believe are just me.

the off screen indicator can initially seem like a go to next room button if someone didn't read the tutorial

the area that first requires the usage of turning has some unnecessary saw blades

its interesting to know that only the first jump of the final area utilizes the mechanic of running being overridden by something without running

turning could've been utilized more

the pause menu doesn't pause and is therefore just a menu

the paint tiles don't have a right edge which is understandable as if both edges had an outline the tiling would a bit muddy

pretty good game

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for taking the time to leave so much feedback, I appreciate it!

The off screen indicator was added very close to the end so it wasn't implemented exactly how we probably would have otherwise. For people that skipped the tutorial we added the help button and hopefully kept it short enough so people wouldn't!

The unnecessary saw blades are mostly for aesthetics and having it mirror on either side of the wall.

I'm a little confused at this part, the running jump is used twice and I'm not exactly sure what you mean by it being overridden. The running is necessary for the jump to be made.

We did have some early plans for more turning sections, but didn't really have the time to put them in. If we go back to the project it's something I'd definitely like to work on.

Surprised the pause menu hadn't been brought up yet, unfortunately some things just slip through the cracks! Thankfully pausing doesn't serve too much of a purpose.

As the artist, the white tiles not having a proper edge when floating really bugged me when I realised it, it's another thing I'd definitely like to rectify!

I'm glad you enjoyed the game, thank you for playing!

Good job! Excellent point of view on role reversion! I even tried to challenge myself and finish the last segment using only four colors, but couldn't do it. Is it even possible? Manage to finish the game in 9:24 tho

Developer(+1)

The ending was designed to use all six colours, but I believe it can be done with five. Thank you for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted(+2)

The great thing about this is that you can do a with the tools you have, the possibilities are near endless !

Developer

All the abilities ended up going quite well together, I'm glad you appreciated it. Thank you for playing!

Submitted(+2)

Great game! Many cool features, amazing that you could put all this together in 48h. Very impressive!

Some stuff that would have made it even better would have been a fast-forward button, especially for the last puzzle. I was making changes to the last part and had to wait for the dude to come walking.

I think an indicator of whether a color is in use in the current game segment would also have been helpful. Or rather if a color is unused/free to reprogram without messing up previous parts of a segment.

Otherwise stellar! Enjoyed playing it!

Developer

I almost don't believe we managed to pull it off in the time either haha! While the fast forward button has been mentioned already, I hadn't thought of the second suggestion you made - I think that would help the experience quite a bit. I appreciate the feedback, thank you!

Amazing entry!
I like programming games and this is a pretty neat entry in the genre and feels very polished for a jam game.
"Playing the tutorial" is also one of the more unique spins on the theme I've seen so far.
The visuals are likewise very cute and consisten. Love everything about it =)

Developer(+1)

We tried to put as best of a spin on the theme as we could, thank you!

Fun and well made game

Developer

Thank you for playing!

designed beautifully, I really enjoyed solving the last puzzle

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot! We really wanted it to put everything you'd learned to the test, I'm glad you appreciated it.

Submitted(+2)

This was a great entry, the art was good, it has a really chill vibe. The only complaint was the pace of the game, for long stretches it was a little tedious but this was very seldom the case (super nitpicky). You should be proud of this one!

Developer

We are quite proud, thank you! If we get around to doing more work on the game, the pacing is definitely something that will be addressed. Appreciated you playing this on stream!

Submitted(+2)

Very polished, great presentation. It could be slow at times, when waiting for your character to catch up, but that's a small thing. Good job!

Developer

We had a few ideas to alleviate some of the waiting, but didn't really have the time. Thank you for the feedback!
