Well made solid gameplay. Also I like your Idea here. Combat animations felt a bit slow but I think it matches the scale of the player. Also really nice environment. The music could be something medieval imo but your choice is also has the kick to the gameplay. Really Nice!
Feel free to hop into my game as well, and share your rating and comments if you have the time!
the level design is pretty good! i played a few boss fight game and yours is well belanced! great job!
Fantastic entry, I loved the idea and the amount of polish! As the game progressively gets harder, I started to understand how each attack had its own purpose and there was definitely strategy needed against different team compositions. Thematically, it does seem a bit weird that the best strategy I found for larger groups of enemies was to kite backwards and zone out melee enemies with long range attacks before going in to finish the rangers/mages. Given that the design of the game is like a Moba, I would love to see some kind of ultimate attack where the boss gets some armor and can charge through enemy lines like a true melee champion.
Delightfully cheesy. The boss feels a bit clunky to control, but given how huge he is, it makes sense that he'd be a bit unwieldy.
nice game! I wish there were more skills to use
Thanks! Yes, me too. And upgrades to choose from between each round
Amazing 3D game yet again! I love how I become this huge boss and smash people into pieces. I am blown out of this world, like the heroes in it. Game feels very smooth and runs very well too! Love it!
I really had the feeling that I'm boss now. I'm so big and mighty, but also slow because of my size. I like your desicion for Q/W/E controls!
Controls are hard! I think 50% disliked the controls, maybe because they are not used to MOBA.
Glad you could live with them though :)
Oh wow, you've made all these 3D assets and you are using Godot ?! Crazy !
Thanks for playing our game!
Yeah, Godot is really great!
I have made all assets, but not everything during this jam.
The Player (which took most of the time) were from Scratch
The Environment were from Scratch
The 5 meshes for the heroes are re-used characters I made for previous jams. They are modified (Equipment, Weapons, Rig and Animations) and texture painted during this jam.
Nice one, especially because it looks like it done with a custom engine? if so, that's even more impressive.
On the game design side, unless I've missed something, it would have been nice to have a default weak attack on left click. Not sure if there was cooldowns on the skill either.
All in all, solid entry and nice great work!
The icons down in the middle actually indicated cooldown, but not in a very obvious manner. Also there is a sound indicating a skill is on cooldown. But it is always a challenge to convey that type on information to the player!
Godot is maybe 3rd most common 3d engine I think, after unity and UE. Or maybe even more common than UE in jams I think.
Thanks for playing!
As a league player this was my favorite gamein the review que! :D was awesome, would especially be cool if i could choose my own amilities, and of course with more polish this has potential :)
Ah, glad to hear that! :D
Yes, one sad thing is that the heroes only get harder, the boss does not evolve at all. It would def have been more fun if there was some sort of leveling of the boss, so that maybe the heroes beceme harder at a higher pace, but the boss can almost keep an even pace. That's a takeaway from the jam, definitely!
Thanks for playing!
I smashed 10 groups of enemies. They started getting really fast after that and I wasn't able to hit enemies that were really close to me sometimes so I died. :(
Well done!
Haha, man. I'll be honest and tell you that I never playtested past 7-8 groups, and suspected that it might really escalate after a while with the difficulty progression. Sad if the game ends with just feeling impossible...!
Thanks for playing! :)
Impressive work on the characters especially!
The moveset felt a bit clunky, but I got used to it after a couple of tries. Moving by just holding RMB instead of clicking repeatedly would have been nice.
Great entry, good luck with the votes =)
Thanks for playing!
Ah, right. We went for classic MOBA style controls, but much has happened there. Dota2 has like 2 screens of options for controls! Didn't think of holding down, but it sounds very reasonable.
Really like the idea, the art is very well done, I would have changed the atmosphere though, would have gone for a darker lights color tones, to put the villain in a more darker throne. Very well done.
Haha, yeaaah. We didn't quite align there. My vision was more like the butcher in diablo, guarding a treasure in a dark hall with lava showing through the floor. But Xandruher felt more like doing a dark souls kind of boss, which is also fine, but it led to some misalignment I think :D
Thanks for playing!
great job
