agree. the problem here was we were targeting for web and had to save performance on terrain size and vfx stuff.

But then sad enough despite all efforts to make it running on web, the textures in browser on web somehow not loading. But seems to work on Linux browser. Windows local works too.

As so many others already mentioned, the art is incredible!!!

I just wish your art would be animated to make it even more alive (they already have faces etc.) but I know that would be insane amount of work for a jam and as far I see this was even an solo entry hence no time for that for sure.

I am not a card game player so I cannot give feedback for improving the gameplay, but I enjoyed playing it. I guess my main motivation to proceed was seeing more art from you.

Maybe as a tip for future, look out for a 2d developer with some experience in jams and team up with him. I guess you could unleash more potential in a jam if you spent the whole week on art. I can imagine that would end up being insane.

Great job on this and looking forward to see more from you!

Not sure if its winnable with the shopping cart? :D

truck is like a tank, the other 3 can jump, but that shopping cart… well its a shopping cart after all

It took me following days to win:

  • 43 days Aeromobile
  • 51 days Wing Car
  • 57 days Avian Bike
  • 59 days Big Truck

Great simple and fun game! Well executed and good juice on many fronts. My favorite part is the music and the blurry effect when getting close to losing.

Great job on this!!!

As others said, art and music fits very well and the game looks very good. Sad you didn’t made it into a playable state.

Lots of stuff to do here. Very well done. I especially liked the 3d models, they look super cute! Jumping with the water gun was the best part for me and I need more water to jump higher :D Only sad thing the music stopped looping so the game went quiet except the sounds.

Really good job on this and glad you made your steps into the 3D world. Looking forward for more!

Interesting take on the theme, I am not a horror game fan (not sure what genre this game is), but I liked the 3D stuff and the good use of lightning and shadow.

I really like to see more people making 3D games and glad you made the steps into it and did a good job!

Simple, yet fun game. The first couple of green balls were easy to collect but it ramped up being hard quite fast. (Or I am a noob which might also be the case)

I think graphics and audio work well together, giving it a good retro vibe.

As others said some sort of highscore, if its timer, green balls collected or anything else might be cool to have some feedback how well you as a player did.

Good job on this and keep it up!

Cool game and big congrats to your first jam entry!

The systems are fun and work well, but the UI made some things hard to figure out tooltips going offscreen, no easy building selector, and I couldn’t get the activator working because its text was cut off. With a bit more tutorial help and polish, this could be an good game.

Great job overall!

interesting take on the theme. I was a bit unlocky atoms blocking my gun from top and bottom, so it took a while until i finally made some new atoms. luckely reaching Xandrium was easy enough and even got to Gabrium. Then my patience left me.

I think the visuals and audio work very well together. Also cool VA, I guess you recorded yourself there?

Good job to another interesting gwj entry and looking forward for the next ones. :)

Creative game design, I usually don’t like platformers but being responsible to create my own level gives it an interesting twist. I made it to the end, although the last two levels took me quite some attempts to make it.

The art and music works very well together and it creates a nice atmosphere.

Well done you two and keep it up.

Simple yet fun puzzle game. I like the twist on using Tetris in combination with fungus. spreading under the earth. The difficulty was fine for a jam game, I had to retry only two levels, the rest I went through with first try.

Maybe as slightly improvement you could have like 3 tiles as a option to choose from, allow the player to better plan their steps. However for me the preview of next tile was good enough to go.

nice little game. cool puzzles, not too easy and also not too hard. made it until the end. :)

Cooles Game.

Thanks! Yes, Godot is a great tool, as well Blender which I used to make the 3D models and animations.

thanks for playing and glad you liked it! More variety is always on the wish list but… jam as usual :D

thanks for playing and glad you liked it.

I like if people notice those small details like the cross. :)

Except the textures for the buildings everything else got made during the jam.

Really fun game. The billboard art fits very well together with the 3d environment. The polishment here was extremly high and it was fun to play. I played until wave 33. The audio was also nice and silly and supported the game pretty well. Good job to the team!

Great game, I really love the painting and erasing visuals. I started as doge and came quite far. First time I reached the ocean I got stomped but the second time I was manage to beat him. good job to you!

Funny entry! Most enjoybale for me was the bird mymic and also that those little bird heads follow and look at you! The graphics are a bit wonky but they fit together well and also supports the game mood very well. The sound and music was very good and supported the game very well too. The ending scene made me laughing!

Good job to the entire team and well done!

Short and good one! I liked your entry and it was fun to play. But also my little cat was scratched from the monsters pretty fast.

Good job to you both!

I found the running letters too cute to erase them. Guess that’s why I was also terrible at your game. ^^

I liked your graphics, audio and had no issues with controls. Good job!

Interesting theme interpretation. I don’t like horror games but I think you did very well and that little flappy bird game made it enjoyable for me. I had no issues and I liked the graphics together with the audio. Good job to the team!

Thanks for playing our game and thanks for your feedback.

Yes, the first meeting and brainstorming for the game idea was indeed funny.

We both liked the wildcard “Mymic” and thought about how it would be to play as the mimic. Then we came up with the idea that it would be funny to play as a “fax machine”…. but since printers are easier to recognize, we took that as our final choice.

Really cool entry, I like it a a lot! Graphics and Audio were both nice.

Slightly improvements for the 3d assets, it looked sometimes a bit weird combination of textures vs plain/gradient colors.

I played on Chrome Web and had no issues. Was able to play through all levels and also had no issues with controls and accessibility.

Well done!

Hello Rakudajin,

thanks for kind words! I always enjoy seeing constructive critics.

I was the artist for Mecha Brawls, how ever this jam the art credits go to Glockenberg. I helped with game design, development, some vfx and some animating. The big part of development goes to Pete while the character was modelled by Nickelodeon.

I agree making 3D games is not so easy and you often get lost focusing on many technical aspects rather than game aspects. For me jams fulfill the purpose of fun and learning which I did this jam and constructive critics definitely help learning and improving so thanks for that! :)

sad to hear. Well the game is mainly made in 3d with pbr which requires more performance and I would prefer you to try out the local versions if you want. They should work fine.

Since the html is working in our tests, I wanted to ask you what browser and what OS system you are using?

This game has good proof for my suicidal nature… joke aside I killed myself way too often with these reflected shots. Nothing to add here, its great entry, fun to play and lots of polish went into it. Well done!

Interesting take on the theme. I had no issues with the platformer and was able to manage all levels. Sound and Graphics support the game well. As others mentioned a reset button or resetting on death the light in the last level would have been good. Good job and well done on this!

GIVE ME MORE ENEMIES!!!

Great entry, can’t add anything to it. Graphics, Audio, Control, Addictive Gameplay all was great. The screenshot was from my second try of the game. Didn’t really had any chance to lose there with over 300 damage on the top left corner mirror.

Had some chat with outisim during the gameplay. Well beside the music loop stuck due to html export I didn’t encountered anything. Controls and Accessibility was great for me, had no issues playing the game. The story and puzzles were also noob friendly for noobs like me. Took me a while to finish the game but made it! Overall the presentation is really good, gameplay is smooth, graphics are really nice, audio supports the game well.

Also great to see a bigger team worked together here and you see it on the game.

Well done and good job to all!

Really great puzzle game enjoyed the cloning from myself. Also the combination with the cut scenes was very cool. Well done!

nice little puzzle game. I made them all first try except last one took me two tries. Good job on this entry!

I always knew there are two persons in me and YOUR GAME IS THE EVIDENCE to proof that.

I can imagine playing this game with a friend is superb.

The idea and concept of the game is very great and unique. Nice tutorial and also the visuals and audio supported this game very well. Good job on this!

You made it! All your doubts about not finishing in GWJ Progress and now you are here. Finished a game! Good job on this alone to keep going on a solo game!

The graphics and audio went really well. The puzzles were nice too, not too easy and not too hard. Well done and good job on this!

Yeah I usually do/support only 3D games for jams and I gave up on web export. Always going for local only even if it costs protentional plays and feedback. Some trade off has to be made there.

Oh nice take on the theme. This game gave me some “Lapse” vibes which is an game app I have played a lot.

I found the story interesting. The presentation supported for me very well to follow the game and in combination with the decision making actually made me reading all of it.

Very nice game. I like the slow progress in adding only 1 mechanic at the time. The mirror and rewind mechanic was the best. Just wish after learning all the mechanics to have 2-3 hard levels which require combining them. Well done on this entry!

Interesting take on the theme. I initially had some mental reflection game ideas too but didn’t came up with anything to combine it with 3d action. You did it. Good job!

Also always enjoy seeing 3D games and can confirm the desktop version runs much better than the web version.
