This is great! Easy-to-understand system that can be utilized in many different ways.

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for playing!

very cool, but maybe add some more checkpoints in that last part? Having less doesn't make it any harder, it just makes it take longer.

Developer

It does make it harder, it forces you to use more colours at once. We're adding a speed modifier to the post-jam version. Thanks for playing!

Pretty neat idea. I love how it’s basically programming game, but like simplified into something anyone can pick up.

Developer

Colour coding everything was really our breakthrough moment in making the idea as simple to understand as possible. Thanks for playing!

Submitted

Ahhh I see, thats pretty cool.

This game is one of the best; just for me it could be one of the top ten, just nice, with good music and very well programmed gameplay. Congratulations good job.

Developer

That would be pretty incredible, fingers crossed I suppose! I'm glad you enjoyed the game so much, thanks for playing!

Submitted(+2)

incredible, very enjoyable concept, nice job!

Developer

Glad you think so, thanks a lot!

Out of all the 'you're the tutorial' takes on the theme this one is my favorite :D

Developer

Happy to hear it, thank you for playing!

I've seen other sort of "scripted platformer" games but this one takes the cake for being essentially an AI scripting game. The "reverse tutorial" fluff really fits the game's concept and it all plays great. Ironically the difficulty progression acts as a great tutorial for the reverse tutorial game. All in all a fantastic game!

Developer(+1)

I suppose creating a tutorial for a robot translates fairly well to a tutorial for the player as well! Thank you very much for your kind words and for playing our game!

Had so much fun playing this! The music in this game is so relaxing! and I love the UI design. Super creative concept and just works so well! fits the theme perfectly and has so so much potential to be expanded upon in the future I would love to see some narrative design implemented and see this game turn into a full finished product for sure!

I can’t actually think of anything that could be improved beyond just wanting “more” haha! great job :]

Developer(+1)

Well we're certainly planning on doing more so I think you'll get exactly what you want! Funnily enough one of the first conversations we had after the jam was how we would contextualise everything into a narrative in a full game, so our brains are in the same place. Thank you very much for your kind comment and for playing our game!

Submitted(+2)

Wow, this is so good! This feels really unique and is a joy to play. I found the final puzzle to be a great challenge and it really showed off what you could do in a full game with new mechanics, allowing the player to get really creative with their solutions.

Developer(+1)

That's the plan! We have plenty more ideas for a full game and I'm excited to get to work on it. Thank you for playing!

Submitted(+2)

I love how clean and simple it is, yet there is so much to it and a lot of detail. There seemed to be multiple ways to complete the goal at times, which is bonus points for me :) The only thing I was hoping I could do was right-click to remove a color. Other than that, I find nothing to critique, it was great!

Developer(+1)

Hm, the only problem with right-clicking to remove a colour would be people accidentally doing it when they mean to drag the screen. I'm sure we could think of a shortcut for it though, I'll add it to the list. Thank you very much!

Super intuitive (I mean it IS a tutorial) and fun to play. Creative idea and well executed. Incredibly polished for such a short jam!

Developer

Thank you very much! I really appreciate it.

Submitted(+2)

Very cool take on the theme with a lot of potential to build upon. Super intuitive UI no explanations needed really hard to fault honestly very strong submission for a 48hr jam!

Developer

We're planning on building upon it quite a bit so I'm very happy to hear that. Thank you for such a kind comment and for playing our game!

Submitted(+2)

Creative idea, cute art and design. Gameplay enough and good.

Developer(+1)

Much appreciated, thank you for playing!

This is truly one of the most enjoyable puzzle games I played on this jam. Not too easy, not too hard and with lots of ways for solving the puzzles. Well done! The music gets me nostalgic because I used it for one of my games :D Have a good day! Congratulations again!

Developer

Oh, what a coincidence! It's certainly a great song. Thank you for playing and for your kind comment!

I want to see the infamous cuphead journalist play this game :D

It is super, super lovely. I love the idea, the connection to the theme and the presentation. I had to turn down the music, because it started blasting my ears, but apart from that the audio was fine.

It was simple but clever, and to be honest simply the premise of the game was enough to have me sold on the idea. It controls super well and smooth, and the character is super-responsive. I really liked combining 2 mechanics on one color, it greatly added to the depth of the game, that would probably be fine even without that.

One nitpick that I have to throw in just for a good measure is that the character is pretty slow (nothing a few dash blocks can't fix though am I right xd?), but well I guess... this is just a tutorial.

Developer

I only realised just how loud the music got when it kicked in when the jam was over! Thankfully it's the first thing we changed in the post-jam version we're doing. We're also letting you speed up the game so hopefully all of your issues should be resolved! I'm very happy you enjoyed our game so much, thank you for playing!

Wow you cleared this quite quickly compared to most people, great job! I’m happy you enjoyed the ending, it was fun to design.

Submitted(+3)

The art design is nice, the game idea is original. Good job!

Developer

Thank you very much, I really appreciate it!

The robot is so cute. I really like the SFX when he walks... lol

Such a polished, well-crafted game. It's amazing what you were able to accomplish within just 48hrs. Bravo!

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much! I tried to make the animation and sound effects for the robot running as satisfying as I could as it’s what he’s doing for 95% of the game haha!

Submitted(+2)

I love this game a lot! What a cool idea to integrate a color pallette and action mapping! Pretty innovative, and I had so much fun playing it. The visuals, audio and feel of the game is just right! Would love a speed-up feature for the last hurdle though xD

Developer

Working on a speed up feature as we speak for a post-jam update! Thank you for playing :)

Submitted(+2)

Well   color me impressed! That was such a polished little game, I loved it!  If there was anything I would change it's that I would have referred the changes to be real-time instead of him starting over.  Wonderful job on the scope. Amazing work!

Developer

it’s definitely something we’re going to look into for the full version we’re planning on, but it’s pretty tricky to implement! Happy to hear you enjoyed it, thanks for playing!
