Hello, I really hope this gets mentioned in the Top 20; i enjoyed the hell out of it. I got stuck in one level though because my pig was too big to move through a platforming section.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! I'm so excited that you liked the game. Btw, we have just uploaded a patch to fix that platforming section. Now you can pass through :)

I really like going back and seeing the other side of the level! Also taking control of so many different enemies was awesome! Wonderful role reversal, and quite a fun and unique platformer!

Developer

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed playing the game :)

Thank you so much for your feedback! We have just uploaded a post-jam patch where we fixed some bugs and added portals to skip long and boring rooms. Hope you enjoy it! One thing to be done is an interesting objective, it's really the most difficult part to design

That's a great idea! Level design is very important in a game like this, I would make it so that the player doesn't have to walk around the same rooms for a long time in case of player error. Also the rabbit attack is incomprehensible, I couldn't do it with the mouse. And it would be great to somehow illustrate the abilities of the monsters before using them, it would be very visual. Nevertheless, you did a very good job and your game has a lot of potential!

Developer(+1)

Rabbit attack is lost in a mess as all attacks has the same sound and visual effects. Maybe this should be deleted in a future, because it has like zero damage :D Yeah, visual tutorial is very important here, will definitely do something with it. Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it!

Good take on the theme. I would try to add up some space to think about tactics and final goal for player, right now we are having fun killing someone. And have no need to be cautious about our own death - we will just be respawned.  Maybe cut it in some levels with a restriction like "you can die only to times" or smth like it.

Developer(+1)

I completely agree that the game has no explicit goal right now. Ideas on how to increase value of the time player spent alive are crucial. I think they will put game on a higher level with proper implementation. Thank you so much for your feedback!

Nice job! Maybe lower the hp of the dinosaurs a little bit, it took way too long to kill them as the bunny. But I had a lot fun playing, great game!

Developer(+1)

Wow, you are really a hero, if you killed a dinosaur as a bunny :D By design it was not expected to kill dino like that. I think there should be an achievement for this. Thank you for the feedback!

Really cool game, good job! Besides a few little bugs I really liked this. art is also super polished. I really like different ways that the animals feel, like the slow accel and friction on the dog demons and the forward hop thing with the bunnies. This concept could work really cool for a bigger game too, maybe with a bit more freedom in level design like a metroidvania type thing. Great work!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! I haven't thought on a metroidvania design, thanks for the idea!

Wow good job. I love your idea! I got stuck after I died against the birds.

  • I love your core idea, if you haven't you should check out Space Station Silicon Valley. Its a bit dated now, but it plays to a similar idea. Also Cubivore might interest you.
  • The player was forced to run back and forth each time they died, I'm not sure a great fix for this since you wanted each side to be distinct.
  • A minor thing, but to fix the tearing you you'll want to only move the camera in pixel increments. Unity offers a pixel perfect camera, but its not great.
  • I really loved all the different creatures you got to play.
Developer

So sorry for the birds bug, had huge lack of playtesting :( So much feedback, Thank you so much! Definitely, will check out the games you suggested, maybe even borrow some mechanics. Talking about tearing, I think I found more stable solution. We will draw a little border around tile sprites, so transparent gaps will be filled with suitable color.

Pretty fun game, understandable that some things weren't as functional as you would want them, excited to see this game in it's full form! I just think it's a little troublesome having to go back and forth rooms and walking a long distance, maybe it's something that can be worked on for the future

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! Definitely, player should have fast travel ability, it's one of the problems we want to work on.

Its a very fun concept, but its a little buggy.

Developer

Thanks! It was really hard to implement such a big game in short time. Unfortunately, we could not implement all ideas in 48 hours and submitted a game right in time, so we had lack of playtesting (found most of the bugs in post-jam time).

Submitted(+1)

I like the idea a lot, and it's a cool mechanic but I found the combat to be a little unintuitive.

Developer

Yeah, that was a real problem to teach a player on how to fight. We were short on time so could not implement in-game tutorial. But we described combat mechanincs in the description, hope that helped. Thank you so much for your feedback, really appreciate it!

This has a really cool concept, but it feels like it's not capitalized on fully. It kinda just feels like, "Go over here, get killed by this enemy, Go over there, get killed by that enemy, " Which is a bit of a disappointment. I feel like an adventure that's a little more open ended and "handholdy" would make it more fun to discover the new abilities you get from enemies that kill you. However, the pixel art and animations are absolutely gorgeous, and some enemies are really fun to play as, I especially like the pig. NiceJob.

Developer

Thank you very much for the feedback! Yeah, we got that feeling of "go here and there" too. We have some ideas on how to make game more interesting at this, but we were too short on time to implement them. I'm glad you liked the pig, thanks again!
