Thanks for playing the game!

Ben's Place is short narrative horror game I made for the Brackeys Game Jam 2024.1 but failed to submit in time. I'd figured I should still upload the game though, so I did just that.

Here's the devlog of the game:

I'm considering about updating the game, but if I do, it'll probably not be so soon, cuz I'm working on other projects at the moment.

Thanks!

This game was originally made for the Brackeys Game Jam 2024.1, and I missed the deadline by a couple of minutes, but still decided to upload it anyways, so it isn't very polished.

Damn, that's really fast! Didn't even know 10 seconds was possible in my game :p

15 seconds!? Wow, that is fast!

you clipped out :p

So, with the recent Unity "runtime fee" crisis, I've decided to give Godot a try and Recoil 5000 is the result of my practice in Godot.

Here's the game: https://minionana.itch.io/recoil-5000

It is a rage platformer where you move by the recoil of the gun, and the goal is to get to the top platform at height 5000.

Thanks for checking the game out, and if there are any suggestions, please tell me in the comments.

Thanks a lot! Hope it survives to the last day!

Sure, assuming it survives

Here's my submission for Day 1: https://minionana.itch.io/recoil

It's made using Unity 2021.3.22f1

Yeah, I know about that, but I had only a few hours to work on this game and sadly wasn't able to fix it in time.

Here's my submission for Day 1: https://minionana.itch.io/recoil

It's a platformer game where you move by the recoils of the shots.

Thanks!

Really nice game, the graphics were fantastic. It would be awesome if you expanded upon the game and added a shop to spend the coins in.

Really fun game, the snake moving faster is a fantastic mechanic!

Loved it! The puzzles really give a moment of "Aha!" when you figure out which bits to grab first. The levels are well-designed, would love to see more of it!

Good concept, and seeing a swarm of Marios charging is really funny. But I feel like the koopa is a little too slippery though, making it hard to control it where you want it to go.

Pretty good concept, but the levels are a little too easy for my liking.

The art style was amazing, the animations were fluid. Would be great if it will be extended.

Fantastic! Loved the clean visuals, I could see this becoming a full game.

A great game overall, and the graphic is stunning.

But, I have noticed a bug in which if you place the pins at the very edge of a gap, it would just fall down the gap. If you do it for all of the pins, and then press Play, it would just consider it a strike.

Awesome game, it's a pretty interesting concept.

Wonderful game, one slight complaint is that I can't really see what is in front of me as the hay cart blocked the view. Graphics are sick btw.

Fantastic concept, I had lots of fun playing it. Loved the graphics as well.

Love the pixel art style!

Thanks!

Yeah, I know about that bug but can't fix it, the collision system of Unity has always been like this.

Fantastic graphics, and it's really a whole lot of fun to censor the words and change the whole meaning.

Thanks!

True, would definitely improve it after the jam.

Thanks for the suggestion, I would prolly add more features to the game after the jam's finished.

Wonderful game! I loved the visuals, and the mechanic is fantastic! It can be little hard sometimes though.

The simple controls kept me hooked, and the minimalistic visuals fit the game well.

Fantastic visuals! The controls take a while to get used to tho, but once done, it feels really fluid.

Love the graphics! It's interesting that different apps have different effects on the cursor when dropped in the spot.
