Wow! Going in to this expecting a calm little building game and suddenly being in the foreground of a massive battle between Godzille and Mechaman! I can't describe the feeling of crazy panic and awe at that moment! Fantastic feeling and great game!

I kept clicking on my second screen because the mouse wouldn't focus on the game, it's quite annoying.

Outside of that... Oh my god the GIANTS !!!

As others told there were some problems with controls but keeping that aside I loved every part of the game like the scene where there is like a boss fight giving vibes of Power Rangers haha and i really like the size the hammer we are carrying!! Sure a very cool game to be proud of! :D

I'm so sorry to complain about this but the game doesn't "lock" my mouse movements, so I had to disable my extra screens to play. I just wish ONE level of complexity was removed from this to make it easier to handle, like mapping the robot punch and block to keyboard buttons, instead of making me have to leave the tower to press the buttons, OR making the hammer just drive in nails as long as I hit it, instead of having to flip the hammer head, OR making a nail hit not knock the mouse away too hard since I'll accidentally hammer in nails while trying to grapple as I move around the tower.

I got the bad end despite clearing the 100% tower height needed so I'm not sure if I was missing something. The whole thing is definitely some frantic fun though, I loved all the art and it's definitely one of the cooler ideas I've seen in the jam!

No need to complain, you're completely right! This may have been an overly-ambitious game and I ran out of time to playtest and difficulty-tweak. The end result is pretty overwhelming and difficult. Also you did win the game end screen got bugged somehow

That was so chaotic I loved it

Had some trouble with the controls due to WASD but overall pretty cool game! might be a bit hard, and some stuff would need to be tweaked (like the screenshake amount) but yeah, pretty nice!

Very cool and well polished visually. I did find myself having some trouble with controlling the hammer and actually getting in nails, and I found the screen shake a bit too extreme at times. On the other hand I loved the music and art. When it changes to the larger battle it does give a wonderful sense of scale. Had a great time, thanks for making this.

Love the concept, but it ramps up pretty quickly and gets hard to manage with so much stuff falling on you! If it was a bit of a smoother ramp up in difficulty it'd be more enjoyable. It looks and sounds great though! Hope you keep working on this one after the jam.

Wow, great game! Really loved the concept and execution. Some controls were a little tricky but other than that it looks really good and I would like to see this turned into a full game.

This is absolutely amazing. Putting aside the kind of finicky mechanics of the hammer and the sharp difficulty spike, I couldn't stop smiling when the music kicked in. As soon as I saw the splash art I knew I was in for a treat, but I didn't realize it would be this fun. From the run cycle of the player to the fight in the background. The music was perfect for the theme, and the chaotic The fact that I was still trying over and over again despite the fact it was so hard means you've got something here, and I really look forward to a future version that's super polished! By the way, where can I get that soundtrack???

I really enjoyed this, it was hard to master the controls but got really fun as I learned more. Also very frustrating in a good sort of way hehe. Great simple storyline and art!

Found the controls really difficult! Really did not see the direction of the game coming. lol. Very nice look for a jam game. Great submission overall!

Game is hella chaotic and the "backstory" of the game is great! Gameplay is all over the place though and can be difficult to manage everything. This is made even more difficult by how finnicky the hammer can control at times and how hard it can be to hammer in a nail you want to.

Developer

Yea I wish I had time to playtest with people. There's about 4 hours worth of difficulty tweaks I could to do to fix everyone's primary issues with the game, it's killing me I can't edit my submission. I'll probably release a web version next week with slowly ramping difficulty and better hammer controls

Great game with the best graphics I've seen so far. Was a lot of fun playing, very challenging to maintain everything and so much action in such a short amount of time. Controls seemed hard when first encountering it but since you have a bit of time in the beginning to relax you can get used to the controls very well and then it's a very rewarding game! I'd feel sorry for anyone that doesn't get to play this game! <3

Developer

wow man, thanks so much for the kind words. Means a lot!

Really intense and fun game! I loved it! Tried to manage the fight and building at once, but didn’t workout haha

Submitted

did you really draw the monsters fighting? they look awesome! difficult controls and difficult to understand the core gameplay loop. Nice job for 48 hours though!

I had a great artist duo working on the project, check out the itch.io page for their info!

100% agree with the comments about the best thumbnail; truly the best! the art is really my favorite I've seen this entire jam. I'm admittedly a struggler w/ WASD controls but once I got the hang of it I was having a grand ol time swinging on the nails. Loved the multilevel game mechanics; super creative! I would love to see this expanded upon. 10/10 would play again.

Beautiful look and nice sound FX. I had a hard time understanding the controls especially the swing of the hammer and the hook. Maybe a more simple tutorial level at the beginning will help. But when you got it, this game has a lot of potentials, great job!

The game looks cool, however, when I hit enter to start playing, the game hung and ate up 3 GB of my 8 GB of memory. Then UnityCrashHandler took over. Is anyone else having this issue, or is this the drawback of owning a 10 year old laptop?

Developer

Sorry about that mate! I saw one other person with an older computer  have issues with the game, but it's a shame anybody does. I'm going to upload the web version once the jam's over. I had minor issues with webGL and couldn't get it fixed until a couple hours after submission time :(

Beautiful art and really cool concept. I had a real "wow" moment when I understand the core game loop of building. Unfortunately, I had a lot of trouble with the controls. The grab mechanic was really unreliable. I couldn't tell if only certain types of nails were grabbable? And your difficulty disclaimer wasn't a lie lol. If I thought controls had a learning curve, that was multiplied when the camera began to move drastically. The game could definitely use an easier mode or tutorial before getting into it. It also wasn't apparent how your building affects the fight in the background.

Great job on this. The game looks and sounds great and that's a huge achievement in just two days. Well done!

Thanks for the feedback!

Yea, I really suffered from not having Q&A, the game was super intuitive and fluid for me, but that's because I sunk a bunch of time into it. I needed a ramping difficulty system, more consistency tweaks to the hammer, and a deeper tutorial. If you want to see the game played "right" check out the video on my itch.io page

OH! That helps a lot with understanding the game. I didn't realize you could hammer the side buttons to attack and defend. Thanks for the response!
