How does your game fit the theme?
You are a gelatinous cube joined with an adventurer, using the cube's absorption powers and the adventurer's grappling hook. And a lot of the mechanics of the game were inspired by joints also: the rope mechanic is basically joining you with the walls, the main character itself is a bunch of spring joints that move together, and the ammo of your propulsion are the bones of the enemies that joined you. One last thing: aim and movement are joined together as a mechanic, giving an extra degree of difficulty.

This game is beautiful and has some really interesting mechanics, but it's really hard to get used to the controls. Since you're already using the mouse to make your grappling hook fire, it might have been easier to just have the hook aim towards the mouse cursor. Right now it's super unwieldy trying to move and aim the grappling hook at the same time because they're tied to the same buttons. Still, great job- this game is really well polished for a 48 hour creation.

I liked graphics and audio (music would change a little smoother). Controls are hard but overall it is fun to play when you get what is going on :)

It could be a nice speedrunning game but I see a few things that would be fixed:
-restart does not restart the level but players position. Imho it would be better to reset everything in this case.
-Font is too small, I couldn't read anything. It may be a bug.
-Mouse control of the grappling hook - it would help a lot.

For 48h it is a good game. Worth investing effort to add new features and improvements so it could be released commercially  :)

Really loved the game was quite challenging but enjoyed the level of skill needed to clear the game, the conrols were hard at first but got there in the end, the graphics were great also and the music was catchy :D

Had alot of fun with this! Physics on the cube a wacky enough to have fun with, but predictable enough not to be frustrating. Really feels fun to spiderman around while feeling this inelegant. What for me could be a bit better is some level pacing (maybe a breather in the middle without dying on spikes?), there were also some bugs but very few for a 48 hour game! Nice job on this, I'd be very proud <3

It's got a grappling hook, of course its fun!

Really liked the physics of the cube, reminded me of a game called Carrion with its mechanic. Only thing I'd recommend is to allow the player to aim with their mouse instead of a keyboard. Otherwise, it's a fun play! Great game!

Very interesting concept and game mechanics, It feels very smooth and responsive, just had a few issues to use the grappling hook.

I'm totally fascinated by the "jelly"-like movement and the overall visual presentation. Great work!

Loved the music and the game is really fun to play, took me a sec to get handle on the controls but once i did i felt the "Speedrunning" aspect of it which is really fun, amazing work! :)

an interesting take! but it's very difficult to aim with your movement buttons so I couldn't progress much, unfortunately

THE GOOD (what i liked, and what stood out for me):

I found the physics and graphics very appealing, and the idea of the game was quite unique, and lead to some interesting mechanics such as being able to launch yourself while swinging, with momentum.

THE BAD (what i disliked, the bugs, and other problems):

The difficulty ramp was a bit steep, and the physics was a tad bit buggy. Having A and D for moving the rope seemed a bit fiddly, and it would have been better to have used your mouse to aim.

THE HARSH (stuff that would just make the game better, usually just personal opinion, don't take it too heavily :D ):

Have some better death animations and game juice!

OVERALL: 4,4,4 good job!

Nice Game, I really liked the grapling hooks feel!

Very fun take on the theme! The transition from the tutorial to the actual main game was a bit drastic, but I really enjoyed it. Well done!

Fun take on the theme. unfortunatly i kinda suck at that kind of game and the hard controls didn't help, so i didn't get to see the end of it.

I really would have make the hook aim follow the mouse it would have been way more intuitive and playable without removing the difficulty or the challenge.

I noticed a few physics bug but nothing too bad or game breaking.

Good job. and kuddos for the artwork it looks very cool.

yes yes I love games with a lot physics mechanics double for softbodies and grapple hooks. Very good stuff. but difficulty is hard make the grapple use mouse not a and d

Wow that juicy cube !! "made out of spring joints" lol

I really loved the grapple mechanic. However, the controls were a little confusing at first. It will probably be better to aim the grappler with the mouse. Other than that, everything is great. Good job making this in under 48 hours.

The controls are difficult to get used to, but in sort of an oddly endearing way. I really like how it feels to essentially control a gelatinous player, and it comes across very accurately in control feedback. It's a fairly engaging experience. Great job!

Great game! I like the squishy effect on the cube! Also cool that you get upgrades along the way. Well done!

The pixel art presentation is really well done and although the controls are a bit messy, the gameplay is energetic and interesting. Very good game!

I think the control for the grappling hook is a little too hard but I can see how the mechanics combined can make for very fun game. The slime physics based player also makes it interesting even though it sometimes makes movement unpredictable.
