I made 5110 Points! Great concept! and great art! really engaging game!

Reminds me a little bit one of my favourite games, Loop Hero. But is nice how you develop it in other ways. Is like a mix between Loop hero and Carcassone in a GOOD way :D

A nice and refreshing game.

GET IT OUT OF MY FRONT! I CAN'T STOP PLAYING!!!!!

Developer(+3)

I still see tiles when I close my eyes.

Suffer with me.

Ah I wish it was a bit more forgiving but what a fun game! Love the exploration/experimentation element to it. it's definitely up there with other such city builder! Would love to see more of it!

I really love the art and the tile conversion is super satisfying when it occurs. The reroll system was quite confusing to me though and the games seem to end quite abruptly. Overall though great work and I think a bigger time window you could develop this into something really unique and polished.

Amazing Art!

<3 Thank you

Neat concept! I found it fun to fiddle around and figure out the patterns for creating new tiles.  I got all the "four of a same tile" combos and the mushroom combo without looking at the itch.io page.  I can easily imagine how this game can be expanded with even more combos and patterns.  My one critique is that later in the game it felt like I went bankrupt really quickly if I wasn't prioritizing getting a combo tile every other turn or so.  So I would prioritize making combos I already knew were safe bets, instead of gambling on a new combo.  If there was less risk of becoming bankrupt, I feel like I would explore new combos more aggressively since discovering new combos is really satisfying.  Overall, great job with this!

Ooh, this took me a minute to fully grasp but I really like the idea here. It was strangely addictive to play. I would love to have seen some more tutorials and maybe some larger UI hitboxes (I kept accidentally clicking reroll and losing valuable pieces.) Outside of that, though, it was really fun to discover all the tile types. Great work!

Developer(+1)

The hitbox for the slot machine is on the OPPOSITE side. And we're so sorry about that. We flipped the image and forgot to flip the hitbox too!
Glad you enjoyed it for the same reasons we thought it would be fun. Means we know what we're doing, or lucked out.

I love the idea, totally deserves to be expanded upon. I imagine hundreds of possible combinations and I'm not even sure if it requires any other objective. good job guys!

(I wonder if it's a bug that rolling is happening by itself occasionally?)

What a funny game ^^ I tried to make golden grass but it didn't work so I had to improvise ^^ mushrooms for the win ! ^^ good job ^^

Developer(+1)

Golden grass... Interesting idea. Shame if someone were to steal that idea for a post-jam version of this game.

There are like 12 tiles that didn't make it into the game. Golden grass wasn't one.

Glad you had fun and managed an impressive score.

Nice Game, I really liked getting a new combo, it feels strangely rewarding ;).

Developer

Thank you! We really wanted it to feel like you were discovering things and that seems to be a common thing people enjoyed. :D

Not really sure what I'm supposed to do. The game could probably use some kind of tutorial. As far as the art and the sound goes though, it looks fairly good.

Developer

Hey! Sorry we didn't have time to implement a proper tutorial in the game however reading the itch.io page should give you a good idea of the basics and from there you can discover new combinations!

Nice job! I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere the game had with the music and the nice pixel art. The gameplay was also really interesting as there were some cool combinations that formed from different tiles. Overall this was a great entry to the jam and I had fun playing! :)

Game is super confusing, but connecting the tiles is oddly satisfying. It desperately needs to be easier to understnad - ideally, I shouldn't have to read the itch page/wall of text to figure out how to play. Hopefully you continue to make games, I haven't played one like this in a while and it was quite fun.

its very interesting i love loop hero.

good game, it is quite entertaining to see what design is formed, very original and pleasant background music!

Submitted(+2)

Nice game. It would be nice if there was a list of all adjacency bonuses/large tiles that can be formed, but other than that, it's solid.

Developer

Thanks! It's something we wanted to add but time caught up to us.
