Wow, I'm very impressed that you made this all in just 2 hours! You did a great job for your first jam, especially in just such a small amount of time. I liked that you added story to it as well on top of the mechanics, a lot of jam games don't do that. The switching mechanic was interesting, and although the jump sometimes didn't work for me, it was fun. Good job on your submission friend! :)
I struggled a lot with the jump and ultimately was unable to complete the game, due to it not working and not letting me get past a certain part of the game. Still, I liked what I got to explore and the narrative undertone around the whole thing was a nice touch. Good job.
Solid start if this is your first game, always important to get the basics down. I would like to see some more mechanics besides just buttons, but good start nonetheless
thank I've been programming for almost an year now, but I've decided this should be my first game but since I only had 2 hours because how busy I was I couldnt much mechanics, plus I wanted everything to be done during the jam so I couldn't copy-paste my 3D movement script I worked a few months on.
Cool for a first game, man. I don't have much new feedback to offer besides what's already been said: nice twist with it actually being a 3D game though I wish you'd done more with it, the jumping was inconsistent and a little frustrating, but the narrative you were telling was quite intriguing! Keep it up and you'll only get better from here!
I am curious about something though: Why did you only use 2 of the 48 hours allotted?
I was busy the other 46, I had to go on a trip to some beach that lasted a day then, help my mom and dad with chores and when I look oh, I have 17 hours left, 2 and a quarter if you minus my bedtime.
Unfortunate, but understandable.
thanks!
I liked the concept of the game, it respects the theme of the jam very well, the only conflict I had was the jump, but except for that, excellent work!
thanks but be more careful next time, you posted the same thing twice!
Amazing for a two-hour game developed by a 13-year-old boy
you typed the same message twice lol
OOPS
but theres a twist, im gonna be 13 this july.
The game has heaps of promise and the 3D spin was super cool, and completely caught me by surprise. Unfortunately like some others, I had some issues with the jump. Sometimes the character would jump normally, sometimes it wouldn't jump very high, and other times it wouldn't jump at all. Would be keen to check this out again if it gets patched.
im definetly patching this
I think I'm the only one who didn't have trouble with jumping. Good for a made-in-two-hours game. Story is nice too but I wish pieces fit together.
mmm the jump hieght was one problem, I guess it was becaause of your luck and fps, because the movement is in fixed update instead of update
The rotating twist really got me off guard, it was very good, it would be really cool if you did more with it! But the inconsistent jump really makes the game very frustrating.
This is great work! Like others have said, the jumping seems a bit random, but I liked the story and gameplay. When it was revealed it was in 3D I was blown away.
Cool idea. I like how the storytelling and tutorial is built in the game. Jumping is a bit hard at some places.
for everyone here and knows how bad the jumping is. I've finally noticed the issue and will fix it after the voting ends. its a problem with the jump height actually, I've set the jump height way too low and didn't have enough time to adjust it properly. the mechanics like back hopping is seen in many games like half-life, legend of Zelda.. etc. The main problem is the jump-height. I just looked at the jump-height just to realize the plyer on average only jumps half a block high.
Really cool idea, I had fun playing it!
thanks! but the jumping I know is difficult

Jumping is fuzzy, sadly could not get past the mother nature jump. Story seemed intriguing though.

Like another person said, the jumping is very difficult to do. I like the idea, and you can probably add some more mechanics to mix up the gameplay, as going back and forth pressing buttons gets a little boring after a while
I would've made juming better but I only had 2 hours due to how busy I was yesterday and the day before.

Really polished game, though the jumping is pretty difficult to manage. Great job
thanks
