I very like this idea. Menu and tutorial very nice :)
Very cool idea here, definitely unique, the music was also very relaxing. I also appreciate the attention to detail in things like the UI animations and SFX. Overall, great game! Just one slight piece of criticism: the camera transition when one of your guys dies from a bowling ball is a bit harsh.
Very interesting idea! I didn't get it at the beginning, but when you start to understand what is going on, it gets very interesting. Graphics, sounds - nice. The timer makes your game more challenging. I would like to see a more interactive tutorial. My best score - 88. Thank you:)
This one took me a bit because I didn't see the tutorial button the first time around, but I like how the risk/reward balance that the bowling lane added gave some interesting strategy to this one. Nice job!
I like the idea and the art style is cool. Although, I don't think the pieces should explode when you deliver then to the golden place, because they also explode when you stretch the chain too much and failed. Giving the same feedback when the player does a good thing and a bad thing can cause a lot of confusion. I thought for awhile that I was walking too fast and stretching the chain right before delivering them and failing when I was actually doing the right thing, because the feedback for both things wasn't different enough.
Really original idea, love it. Web version seems a little buggy, but nothing a reload didn't fix. Only complaint would be that there's no indicator to tell me when the chain is becoming overstretched, that was a bit frustrating at time. Also the chess pieces felt maybe a bit too slow but that might be deliberate design and I'm just impatient? Apart from that, I liked it a lot.
Took a little while to understand the concept, but really enjoyed it once we got playing. Really love the chess design, and the mechanics of dying. That feels like a weird to say, but it had impact.
Nice concept with real original ideas. Terrific animation. Solid game after you understand it. Not sure what you can do to make it easier to understand? Maybe have like a "training" type level before you go on but 48 hours sometimes removes these type of things from the equation.
Good game.
I liked the style but I played the web version and it seemed like the only thing I could do was move around - could be that I just couldn't figure out the controls though!
sorry about the trouble, you right click to create a chain and middle click to attach one
Great game. Love the idea. A little buggy, but definetly something you can build on :)
Interesting game, it took me busy for quite some time :D I especially liked the chain stretching mechanics :D
Very pretty and well animated game. The game just oozed charm. The controls were very weird and took a lot of getting used to. But there's a ton of potential here!
Nice anmiation art and sounds !
Nice game !
Controls were bit hard to get and after the first unload of chest pieces the graple would go out / spawn anymore. But very cool idea!
It's an interesting game that exploit risk vs rewards, huge pieces can't take every path because of their size..., It would be interesting in a versus mode. Taking big pieces and risk loosing them to the bowling ball, or leave it to your opponent ? Could be cool !
A small downside would be the control scheme, everything on the mouse can be practical, but i like my good old keyboard. But it's just my personal opinion and this will absolutely not alter my rating.
Anyway, it's a cool entry with nice visuals and it definitely fit the theme ! Good job !
I think I came across some bugs while playing? I middle-clicking on nothing while you have your chain out stops the chain from ever appearing again? Or something like that? I'm not entirely sure but each time I played, chaining things to follow me broke..
That being said, there were times it worked and I got to see what you were going for! It's a cute game with some nice art and animations!
Good job!!!
Hey there! I think I remember you from last year but I'm not sure. I believe the bug you are experiencing has happened before to us but can be corrected by middle clicking on the board pieces themselves and avoiding middle clicking pieces that are underneath a piece already in your chain. Does it work now? If not please try out the exe version and let us know what you think!
The game froze for me as soon as the timer ran out, so I don't know what happens when it ends. The gameplay loop was solid and there was enough challenge to keep me entertained the entire time. My score was 17.
The pixel art is good, but a little bit inconsistent (mixels :O). I also thought it was strange for some objects to have a solid black outline while others didn't.
The choice of having to right click and middle click seems odd to me, I think the controls would be more concise if you could just right click to chain a piece.
Overall, the game was pretty good. Good job!
Definitely an interesting take on the theme, I like how each link poses a greater risk but also a greater reward. The gameplay loop became somewhat repetitive after a while, and I think the tutorial could be a little more concise. However, I did enjoy the game overall, and the sprites look great and all tie into the idea well. Nice work!
It took me a while to figure out what is going on in the game, but after that I really liked the concept :D I would definitely make tutorial shorter and visible whole at the beginning XD Waiting for those letters to appear isn't something pleasing, hah :D
