This was a solid and fun top down 2D shooter. The presentation was spot on and the gameplay was fairly simplistic yet fun. I played it here for more feedback:

Developer

Thank you very much for playing. To the part with the sounds effects, that probably was because you turned it down a little too much haha. And i agree, the menus where a little basic, we kind of threw them together last minute. (Oh boy, estimating how long something will take in a 48 hour jam is hard)

(And yes, you might have recognized me (Johnny) from one of the Brackeys Game Jams, atleast i recognized you when i read that name :D)

Really cool. The combining system is very creatjve!

Though I don't know what is the difference about left shoot and right shoot, it is fun and rhythmic!

Cannot stop playing!

Super fun game! I really liked the visual presentation, super crunchy and juicy. It was a lot of fun weaving around little squares!

I'm not entirely sure what the point of combining the enemies was and what exactly the gun did (or the difference between the two). I'm guessing that combining the enemies gave you a higher score, and the guns just destroy enemies?

Overall, great work!

Developer

The green bullet attracts enemies on hit and the orange one pushes them away. Some people had trouble realizing that, we shouldve communicated the difference more clearly.

Thank you for the feedback!

THE GOOD (what i liked, and what stood out for me):

One of the juiciest games I've played so far! Loads of particles, shakes and satisfying build ups that keep you wanting to play and get higher scores. I think I got around 380-ish as a high score! The difficulty ramp was modest and you get a nice dose of adrenaline trying to reach the harder stages of the game, usually being past the 2 minute mark. The art was also well made, a nice simplistic style! The audio was also very crisp and satisfying, so too is the music. A huge positive!

THE BAD (what i disliked, the bugs, and other problems):

There was some weird visual glitches happening at the corners of the viewport where the enemies were flashing in and out. I think having some bounciness to the characters or a freeze frame when making large combos would make things even more satisfying!

THE HARSH (stuff that would just make the game better, usually just personal opinion, don't take it too heavily :D ):

I think you guys may want to add more unique and more various enemies for later stages of the game.

OVERALL: A very fun game! I rarely give 5 stars for fun, but I think this game deserves it, a solid 5,4,4!

It's a really fun game! I wish I could just shoot MOREEEEE! It feels so good!

Hi JohnnyOuh!

This was a fun bullet-hell style arcade game with some interesting graphics and a hectic feel. I loved the fast paced music, and weaving in and out of enemies was endlessly gratifying. You nailed the look and feel of this game!

I was unsure of what the colors of bullets represented, both of them seemed to defeat enemies though. Even without that knowledge it was loads of fun! I would just recommend mentioning the difference in your "About" page.

Great job!

Best,

This is such a addicting game. The vibrant graphics and satisfying sound effects make wanna play over and over again. Just add some buttons for mobile input and boom you have a mobile time killer. Great work by the devs

Really amazing work. The post processing effects make the game even more fun to play

I'm not a huge fan of neon glowing games. However, I loved the aesthetic of this game, simply because of the amount of game juice! Nice game! The game is pretty short and repetitive and addicting.

Very good job!

This is a game I can definitely see fitting perfectly at home on an arcade machine at a bar

Would have liked to have more ammo to get to shoot stuff rather than focusing on the dodging. Love the visuals!

Thanks for sharing the game, it was a blast and also looked great too. I might add powerups if you continue the project. Would be super cool to have more amo or speed. A dash mechanic might give the player more control over dodging too. Again, great fun game :D

I really like how the enemies collide with one another to become a larger target. I think this is a unique mechanic that could be developed into a system that rewards players who are agile rather than accurate. Very Nice!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Yeah we are looking forward to toying around with that mechanic more. Thank you for your feedback.

This is a wonderfully unique game concept, and pretty well executed and presented (i love the neon aesthetic). I would definitely say it needs slightly more instruction / explanation, particularly on the functions of the two different guns.

My high score after a few rounds is 713. No idea if that's good or not.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah we tried to make it more intuitive or explain it better, but just didn't have the time. Definetly something we want to improve on.

Also I have seen Scores a good bit beyond 1k :P
