Love the maze aspect of the game.

The music used was kinda cute and fits well with the amazing art style. I would love to see more challenging levels though since it's pretty easy for me :P the written information could be improved and actually, for a noob like me, I need a more detailed tutorial because, during my first minute, I had no idea what I should do or where I should go. Overall it was an interesting experience for me. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot! Next time I will make a better tutorial. Actually I dont have any professional training and stuff. I kinda hate those hard coding terms so i just do as much I can :P

I really enjoyed the Mechanics and the Maze Aspect, but there wasn't much of a Challenge to it, and I wasn't even sure what the Blob things did for most of the Game. There are some things I'm certain that could be improved, but Good Job with this!

Thanks a lot! Glad you liked it.

Awesome music and really well presented! I dig the slightly curved screen reminiscent of CRT monitors, and the moody torch lighting that still keeps the entire scene easy to analyze.

I didn't initially feel the enemies played a big part in the game (until I died to one), as especially in the early levels they died quite fast to the spikes. I had fun running around the mazes to find the exit!

Developer

Thanks! The enemies are the role but I accidentally added too many spikes :P

I'm still jamming to the music and I love the art style! Really fun game, fun mechanics and clever puzzles.

I think it's a bit confusing at first to spawn the enemies on the rope where the player starts, it's often the enemies die right away and you don't really know what happened.

Congrats on an amazing game!

Developer(+1)

Yeah i have to fix that. Thanks a lot!

The game looks and sounds amazing - the presentation is brilliant. It was very fun, and I liked the concept of the enemies being attached to you.

However, it could have been made more difficult by making new enemies constantly appear, or decreasing the amount of spikes in the level. There wasn't much of a challenge after defeating all of the enemies, just finding your way out of the maze. Also, the light from the torches was a little too bright for me, so consider adding a brightness option in future releases.

Nevertheless, I really enjoyed playing the game. Everything is very polished, the concept and mechanics are very promising, and the game could definitely be expanded into a full release in the future.

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing! I am glad you liked it. The light is a complain by many. I will fix that after the jam.

If this game is one thing, it's beautiful. I love the lighting, the music, the art in general. (since it's so perfect I'd say spikes are a bit less beautiful than the rest, but it was really fun to run into them without the usual "you touch it you die" mechanic of other games). On the easier side for now, but in any case, really pleasing. I'd love to play it more in a full release with tricky levels

Developer

Thanks a lot for those kind words. Glad you liked it!

The art was good and the music made the stages feel intense and dynamic, and I enjoyed running around and escaping all the different rooms. The mechanics with the monsters were a bit strange, I'd usually destroy all the monsters in seconds and if I didn't they'd immediately get me, which made most of the game running around a maze instead of dealing with the enemies. It would've been cool to possibly have made the strings longer? Or given them a bit more health, so it was more of a careful strategy to navigate around the space and hold them back, instead of instantly destroying them. Maybe after the string is cut they'd just hop around in the space they were in and require a separate variation of avoiding. There are all just random ideas off the top of my head, feel free to ignore them- I suppose the point is that your game had a lot of potential and I'd love to see it expanded on, if you ever go back to it! Good job.

Developer(+1)

Thankyou so much for those tips! I will make sure to incorporate all of them and credit you as well. Thanks a ton again!!

Submitted(+1)

Haha, of course!! I'm glad my rambling was helpful. Good luck!

Submitted(+1)

the art style is pretty good. the mechanics are a little bit wonky though.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Would be great if you could elaborate the problems . Thanks a lot again!

I like the artwork! Honestly I would have used your actual game art for the cover image instead of a unique cover art.

I had a hard time understanding what to do or what was going on. Am I supposed to kill/detatch the slimes on the ropes, or am I supposed to try to navigate the maze while keeping them alive?

When I would get near an opening in the maze, the level would reset. Was this because I won or because I lost?

I also saw something on the page about how 99.9% of the time if you touched the walls you'd "spoil" your game. What was that all about? I didn't understand.

Nice work for making this at only 13 years old! I'm almost 33 years old! I wish I had gotten started on my dream of making video games at your age! :) Well done!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the tips! Next time I would make it more clearer. Sorry if it was not good. I will definitely try my best next time!

Submitted(+1)

it was confusing but its fun

Developer

Thanks a lot! Glad you like it. Could you tell me where it was confusing, so that after the jam ends I can fix them?

Presentation was great. I did get confused during gameplay, though. I found the tutorial to be a bit too wordy, so a few illustrations would have been nice. Also at the end of a level, a bit more feedback on whether or not I passed a level would have helped.

I do see what you were going for and a few refinements would make this game great!

Developer

Thanks a lot! The feedback is an issue which plenty of people are talking about. Glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted(+1)

Good job! I can tell you put a good amount of work into these visual effects, they look pretty cool. It got so frantic trying to find some spikes to break the ropes on later in the game.

Would like the ability to restart from the current level, rather than having to close the game (unless there is a way and I didn't figure it out). They get pretty hard!

Impressive for 48 hours and being so young, keep making good games!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Nope, there isn't any restart button yet.

Submitted(+1)

The presentation is pretty great, got a nice tutorial (though telling the player what button to actually continue on past the tutorial again would be helpful), and it's a fun concept, though the enemies do all seem to kill themselves instantly in the first couple mazes, after that you start seeing them do their thing as you run around looking for spikes. It's a fun time and an impressive accomplishment in 48hrs, nice job!

Developer

Thanks! I will try my best to improve it

Fun experience, interesting concept, i really like the curve world camera effect, i see potencial into the game concept, good jo

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot. Glad you liked it.

Wow, for such a young developper, doing all of that yourself is really amazing, you can be really proud of what you've done ! The game is a bit buggy, but the art is really cool ! Maybe try to tune down a bit the glow, it's great to improve the graphics but used too much it becomes a bit messy
Stick on gamedev, I bet you'll do amazing games in a few years :)

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing, i will try my best to fix the bugs.

Interesting twist on a standard maze game. I love the puzzle side of it whilst also fending off the aliens. Keep up the great work.

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing, glad you enjoyed it!!

Submitted(+1)

Cool game, I liked the music, art design and the advanced maze concept. Maybe you should add different colour for exit, other than that I gotta admit I have really enjoyed playing.

Developer(+1)

Thanks, I will change the exit after the jam is over. Glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted(+1)

Very cool idea. Most people thought of joining together stuff while in this case, you want to unjoin stuff. With some polish, you can take this concept further!

Developer

Thanks a lot for your valuable feedback :)

Developer

Thought i might tell you about the idea generation that the theme said "joined together" which means it was already joined, as there was an "ed" after join😋

Submitted(+1)

It's a neat little jam game. Not much to complain about. The levels could have been designed a bit better. But the visuals were really cool.

Good Job!

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing. Can you give me some ideas on designing the levels ?

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

I liked the idea, the art is cute and the music. Is fun too but no retry button, make me quit of the game fast, sad thing (edit i come back and finished :) ). But very solided game! (the light of the torchs need to be less lighter)

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for playing. The torches have to be fixed, I have received many complaints  about them. I wanted to add a pause menu and retry button, but the time was not enough.

Submitted(+1)

I totally understand! Keep improving :)
