No

We used pre-existing art

This game is pretty cool! I really enjoyed it, i liked the monster concept and the sound design, please keep working on it, i think that's a cool project! Please check out my game too :D

Thank you very much for your kind words, tailswind has continued working on this and we have some plans to make quite a few additions to it! We’ll check out your game when we get a chance!

I liked this game!  The concept of constantly changing weapons and having to plan on the fly is always fun for me.  The sounds are beautiful too.  And the color-coding was really helpful as well.

If I were to make a suggestion, it would be to have some sort of win state, or at least a points system.  I definitely lasted longer and defeated more enemies upon multiple attempts, but there was no indication of that.  (Unless there is a win state, and I just never got that far haha)

Fun game, keep up the good work! =)

there’s no win state at the moment, we had some ideas to track score and win the game but we just didn’t have time to add all that stuff sadly. Thank you for taking the time to play it, and I’m really glad to hear you enjoyed it!

Very Realistic Sounds. 10/10

Thank you! I made most of them with my mouth

I like the intro and death screen a lot. The fighting mechanics are good too. The turn based mechanic reminded me of crypt of the necrodancer.

I was a bit confused by what to do, the door was open but I couldn't go through it.

That’s the first time I’ve heard that criticism, thank you very much for telling us! The door was intended only for monsters to go through, when we work on this further we’ll make sure to work something out to avoid the confusion. Thank you for playing the game and taking the time to give us your feedback

nice game!,but would have loved a little bit more clarity on when are the enemies are going to move, and the ability to change directions and attack while not facing the enemy. But nice game overall

Developer(+1)

Thanks man! We ran out of time unfortunately to be able to do more UI but it's definitely something we were planning to do. Not being able to change direction was a design choice but after some feedback we'll probably change that in the future. Glad you enjoyed it! ^^

Wow, yes indeed its pretty similar to my game with the idea of enemies that can be killed with specific weapons. Nice visuals!

This was pretty fun! The weapon color concept is nice and well used, it has music and sound, menu and game over screen, overall it is very well finished, i believe that it only needs animations to be more complete, but very well done for the time limit of the jam.

(+2)

Thank you very much for your nice comment! We wanted to add animations but just ran out of time. When we work on this at a later date tailswind will add some animations and attack sprites

Submitted(+3)

I really like how the weapon's background are the same color as the enemies they defeat which helps to remember which weapons defeats which enemy and I like how it changes after each use matching the theme well.  Things to continue to work on as you are able to: attack animations for that feed back and to allow the players to dodge, and allow the player to face the enemy when the enemy is right next to them rather than having to move away and then turn around. :D

Thank you so much for the advice and criticism, we really appreciate it and will keep it all in mind when we work on this further!

We wanted to add attack animations but ran out of time haha

This concept is one of the most thoughtful from what I've seen so far, and to my surprise, it was well balanced for a game made in 48 hours :0
Also, the art and game blend together nicely, good job!

Wow, thank you so much for your kind words!

It was a bit confusing at time, figuring out what was happening, but a neat concept, specific enemies requiring specific items, from specific angles. I just wish I could've rotated on the spot.

(+2)

Thank you for your feedback and criticisms, we will definitely take this into account if we decide to expand on this in the future!

Not being able to rotate was a design choice to make the game more challenging but maybe we have to reconsider that moving on, thanks again for giving us something to think about

I liked it a lot.
It's surprisingly addictive.

That you don't have to select the weapon and roll with it is actually more fun than selecting from your full arsenal.

Also good job on the enemy / weapon design.

Since your game is grid-based, I would have appreciated a grid on the floor and also some kind of attack animation would have been great to get a better feeling for the attacks.

Thank you so much!

We planned to add attack animations but sadly ran out of time. Thank you so much for your review and feedback, that will come in really useful for if we decide to expand on this!

Congratulations! Loved it! Would be nice to have a time without weapon, that would make it kind of frustrating but funny!

That could be a great idea for a different game mode in the future, thank you for your feedback!
