The player character is falling and bouncing of objects. The only means to control is to program changes in direction and form of the player body beforehand.

Really nice effort for a first game! There's definitely more that could be here, this seems like just kinda a physics demo rather than a full game and as other people said the options you can get don't really impact it much except the sphere which just makes you win, but hopefully you learned a lot and I'm excited to see what you come up with in the future!

It seems too easy to play. You can just change the cube to ball then you guarantee to win

Tbh honest just did not have time to make a proper level.

I just uploaded a polished version with 5 playtested levels which should not be so easy to cheese (okay, except the first 2 because they are meant to bring the concept across).

A cool concept, and a very good effort for your first game for someone new to programming! :)

A few suggestions would be to reset the cube properly when you press "R". If I was a sphere when I press R, I start the next round as a sphere. Also to show the player when the actions are actually happening (explain that every second the next action happens, or however it works).

Great effort, keep up the good work and good luck in all the future game jams to come. ;)

Although unfinished, the game was actually quite fun when one got past the initial confusion and buggy menus.  We'd appreciate a clearer indication of when the actions are executed and where the goal is. This was our first game jam as well, so we too struggled to finish our game in time. We hope your determination will not fade.

Nice game. I also didn't know at first how it worked, but figured it out. And I don't know if I got closer to the goal so it would have been nice to at least see where the goal actually is. (and an exit button, I had to Alt F4 to exit)

A polished version with additional features is nearly done, it just needs levels.

Haven't thought of an exit function, thanks for pointing that out, I will implement it.

I love the idea of programming actions into an object as it moves through a space. But I'm a bit confused on when the commands are executed. I landed on a platform and added a velocity command to the right and it didn't move. Then I restarted and alternated spheres and cubes and the program ended when it was about halfway down.

I'm currently working on the polished version and added indicators with timers to show when they will be executed, as well as some particles and sound effects.
Also when a cube comes to a full hold you often need a very high velocity input (orange or red) to get it moving again.

I actually finished all mechanics, fixed (hopefully) all bugs and added polish. Now I will just make some levels and a menu and then upload the revised version.

You dont give yourself enough credit in your description.  Jams are hard, especially while your early on in your learning process and just finishing is a much bigger accomplishment than people realize.  Keep making and keep learning, good work!

I love the idea! Maybe would have been nice to see the goal at the beginning before panning up to where the object was? Was a little confused if the goal was in the center or if it was just the entirety of the bottom of the screen

I intended to let the player pan the camera down the level in the planning stage.
I also planned on a little level sequence forcing the use of certain builds to introduce the player to the mechanics and then have 1 or 2 bigger open levels.

Because I ran out of time, both did not happen.
