Ranked from 40 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

How does your game fit the theme?
If you get hit, your controls randomly swap places, meaning you have to readjust to a new layout everytime you get hit. The only way to win is to maintain focus and composure, and not lose control.

i like it, it scrambles the player's control without taking away the fun.

Developer

I liked the look of the UI and I thought it was really smart to have it circle the planet. It was really hard, even after I switched to a touchscreen!

Developer

Thank you for the compliment!  I'd hoped it would provide an adequate challenge, though hopefully not frustratingly so.  Thanks for playing!

5 stars!
The art looks so clean.
I thought the feeback loop/death spiral when you start getting hit was funny!

Developer

Thanks so much!  I'm glad you liked it!

Great work.. I liked that you put a how to play button which many don't.. Clean design  :) Keep creating !

Developer

Thanks!  Some early feedback from friends actually led me to incorporating that.  I started to fall into that mindset trap of just cause I think something is obvious, it doesnt mean it actually is.  Thanks for playing!

Had fun playing this! I liked how everything feels fine until you get hit once and then you start panicking looking for the correct buttons.

Developer(+1)

That was pretty much exactly the feeling I was hoping to convey, so I'm glad it came across.  Thanks for playing!

Really enjoy the control switching, large obvious buttons are great too. You don't get frustrated trying to search for tiny icons,  Once I learnt the icons eveerything was clear.

Developer

I tried to make the buttons as obvious as possible, so I'm glad that came across.  Thanks for playing!

I liked this version of the switching controls the best out of all the games I played in the jam. I found control switching on a timer irritating but your version of switching controls when you get hit makes avoiding the bullets more important than just losing health. Also, I really like the layout and look of everything!

Developer

I've actually gotten mixed feedback about not having the control switching on a timer, some people have liked it and others thought it wasnt chaotic enough.  My initial thought was pretty much exactly what you stated, I didnt want to punish the player with randomness, but either way, I'm glad you enjoyed it.  Thanks for playing!

Very fun game, I loved the way that you introduced the theme.

The only thing that I had a problem with and it is very small is that it took me some time to see that there are two more small buttons at the bottom. It made me think that I only have a set of the controls at any given time and that I need to take damage in order to get new sets of commands.

Anyway, great game, I had a lot of fun playing it, thank you!

Developer(+1)

I definitely agree.  If there was one thing I would do different it would probably be to make those buttons larger.  My initial thought was that it would contribute to a more chaotic feel to have different sized buttons, but after playing it I realized I actually ended up ignoring the smaller ones more often than not, because of their size.  Anyway thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Game is very fun and unique to me. Performing different actions and deciding what to prioritize, fuel / bullets / evading etc. is really fun and challenging.

Developer

Im glad you liked it, thanks for playing!

The game was fun! I'm not sure if the theme of "Out of Control" was implemented well enough, though. On my third playthrough, I was able to beat the game without getting hit, so I never encountered the out of control element of your game. Maybe if the controls swapping was on a timer, every player would be guaranteed to encounter your out of control element. I found your game to be really fun and original, but I think you missed the mark on the theme.

I had a system going where I pretty much just bounced between the same buttons in a pattern for the whole game. If you had some kind of high score system or global leaderboards, I would be more inclined to innovate on my strategy and try to find faster wasy to win.

Developer(+1)

Those are some good suggestions, looking back on it something to ensure the swapping of controls would have been been good to add.  Either way thank you for the feedback, and thanks for playing!

Original idea, I like the way you use the theme.  Good job!

Developer

Really fun game! Great job!

Developer

Thanks!

It's fun! A score system of some sort could make it more entertaining!

Developer

I actually didnt think of that, but I feel like youre right, it definitely wouldve added to it.  Thanks for playing!

Very fun! Looks nice. My only complaint is the audio doesn't sound that nice. Also the bullets that the planet shoots is the wrong way around but thats whatever, didn't even notice it at first.

Developer(+1)

Yeah I am definitely not an audio guy, I'll have to work on that skill moving forward.

Thanks for playing!
