We played the game to our best effort. We managed to get to the room after walking through the long corridor with two enemies. There we got stuck because of a box/platform blocking the way. We tried really hard to overcome the obstacle, alas, it proved to be too difficult. Having a control description and clearer hitboxes would improve the experience greatly.

Well the sound effects were fun. We didn't really get the point of the game, but it looks interesting. We'd like to play it when it's finished.

Thank you for playing the game.

I am afraid that your confusion about the objective of the game is justified. This was our first game jam and we allowed ourselves to be distracted by things that were not that important for the gameplay. The idea was that one would have to stay in the air above the lava created by your weapon with the use of the grappling hook and your weapon that can shoot lava, which cools down after a few seconds and creates a platform. Unfortunately, we did not have enough time and only created the starting 'cutscene' in mere minutes (as one can easily notice ) and we did not make it so that the lava can hurt you, which is something we deeply regret. However, we learned from our mistakes and look forward to the next GMTK Game Jams :).

The atmosphere was really good, and we liked the look of the background. The thorns were not always clearly visible and there was no punishment for moving slowly, which is arguably a good thing? There are some bugs in the height meter (after falling, the number kept increasing) and the restart button. Overall, it was fun, and the graphics were surprisingly well polished. The sound effects are funny. P.S. We were wandering why the game file was so large (447 MB).

Like the other comments say, we were for the most part confused. The animations of the character were good and felt out of control. With some polish, it could be a fun game.

Although unfinished, the game was actually quite fun when one got past the initial confusion and buggy menus.  We'd appreciate a clearer indication of when the actions are executed and where the goal is. This was our first game jam as well, so we too struggled to finish our game in time. We hope your determination will not fade.

Played through the game, it was quite fun. We liked how the rotations impacted the gameplay. Perhaps the sun in the background could be less distracting. Sometimes it obscured the flames. Otherwise it was a wholesome experience.

We played through a couple of levels and the game was engaging. In terms of art and music, it could use some improvements. The explosion sometimes felt inconsistent and the death sound effect was a bit buggy. We really liked the particle effects.

A simple yet well executed idea. It was nice that the music was in sync with the flow of the game. We would appreciate a clearer indication when the shooting changes, but the direction remains the same.
