Wow this game really doesn't mess about! You get chucked into the action straight away! Really nice art and implemented very nicely. Good job!
I really like the dodge or shoot mechanic and having a turret as well as an arced projectile is really nice, but I can't say I'm sold on the main mechanic. It Once the player loses the turret it just goes downhill from there and the last part of just not being able to shoot and losing sight is just cruel. Also, the player is IMO too big for the enemy bullets.
It could be a really neat arcade game, but the take on the theme ruins it for me. (Reward the player for skillful play, don't punish them this much for being bad).
Yep. Which is something I got annoyed at myself halfway through the jam but I wasn't going to just throw out everything I had so far so I kept going. This is one of the core things I'll have to figure out when I keep working on this cause I'm not sure if I want to throw the mechanic out entirely yet.
It was fun thank you for making this game.
Thank you for playing it.
It looks great, but it really needs sound! Nothing feels like it hits without some sort of hit confirming sound effect.
Yes, it does need sounds. And it'll definitely get them in a post-jam version.
Tried to play this but I'm missing some dlls. I'd be happy to rate if I could play!
If you can message me on Discord (@Cameron#7818) I can give you a version that's 100% identical to the jam version but without that issue.
This is really creative and the art style goes with it very well. Good job!
Thanks!
I like it very much. I think I would make it a little bit faster though. And as others mentioned controls are at first a bit confusing.
With a little bit of polish I would leave it as it is, and make it into some kind of missions or stuff like that. And similarly to games like Desktop Dungeon/Downwell give the player experience after each session and unlock like new stuff/upgrades/options/configurations to make it easier the more You play.
Good job, I hope You'll continue.
I'll definitely continue but I'm not entirely sure what direction to go in yet. Either I keep it purely as an endless highscore arcade-y game or I put in a sort-of story or at least missions you can do one after the other. I'm leaning more towards the latter though since it'd give me the ability to add stuff like bossfights.
love the nintendo aesthetics, really felt the lack of sounds on this one.
for some reason I really wanted to shoot the guys on parachutes before they can land.
maybe make a random system lose power on each hit rather than always top to bottom.
Yea, it definitely needs sounds and I will add those in a post-jam version.
You can actually shoot the parachute guys with the top gun (shift) cause that doesn't just do damage when it hits the floor.
And I might have to experiment with making what ability you lose random, that sounds like it could help. For the post jam version I was kind-of thinking about giving the player the option to rearrange their abilities or swap them out for different ones in between games.
This game is pretty cool! i really enjoyed it, please keep working on t after the jam, with a bit more polishing it will became an Amazing game! good job! please check out my game too :D
Thanks! I will keep working on it and polish it up. And I'll also check out your game in a bit.
I Like what you did there.
It's a game about fighting back but eventually loosing control anyway. It's a struggle! Every beast falls eventually if you fight it long enough.
I like the 'military' art style. All those little soldiers and those huge rocket launchers!
Very nice. Good job!

It would help a lot if you would rate my game as well! Thank you \(^-^)/
This game is pretty fun. My suggestion is that don't make the jet pack the first thing you lose
Thanks.
About the jetpack thing: I did try some different orders for the abilities during the jam and from my experience the jetpack is the least needed one so that's why it's at the very top.
This game makes me go YES!
Well done, the screen shake and stuff really help, but it's a shame you couldn't get audio in as that would really boost the experience. I am very bad at playing this it seems but I had good fun trying
My best score 675
It took me a while to discover how to use the mines.
Cool arts
Yeah, deffo needs sound, heh. :)
Found the lack of instructions for controls and objective overall confusing. Neat pixel art considering you made it, but some extra assistance on how to play within the game would be beneficial!
Ah, yea. I should've definitely explained the controls and mechanics better.
Found it a bit too difficult and I wish there was more feedback, otherwise great art and concept!
It's difficult to fight your way back up after taking damage, but overall enjoyable.
Interesting concept! The lack of visual/audio feedback made it really confusing as to what I was/wasn't doing. I feel like I might have been missing a control or two? The hud had quite a few icons, I was only able to do 3 of them or so.
The icons are hovering (holding up while jumping), gun (shift), speed (you just get slower the lower that one goes), jump (up), grenades (space) and sight, which also just goes down like speed.
But yea, I definitely need to work on the feedback for a post-jam version.
Ooh, got'cha. Thank you!
Good concept and the sorta health bar with the different functions is a really creative. Once you lose control of the gun it's pretty much game over. I found it very difficult, but concept is great plus awesome art, good job!
