This game has a really cool style, I just wish there was more. I created an account just to give it a good review! If you have time, a full game of this would be awesome on the switch, I would defiantly pay money for a more expanded game with more level themes and mechanics.

This was like playing a strange dream, great job!

The artistic component to this game is fantastic and the gameplay is engaging. The one gripe I have is "playing your horn" seems a bit buggy and not smoothed out.

Developer

Thank you for the uplifting review!

The different notes cutting off is an issue I wish we would have fixed. It can be by just by adding more audio sources and rotating between them for any new sounds. Same goes with the note interruption when you jump...

Really love the graphical style!

This game seems cool, but I think it needs a little more to tell you what to do. Like, I figured out I could un-blur things by playing the simon says game, but... then what? I wasn't sure where to go or what to do. There didn't seem to be any objectives or enemies other than the radio tower... but all that did was make me blurry again, and blurry isn't that hard to fix. Graphically though, the blurriness thing is _very cool_

Developer

Once the player reaches the bottom of the tower, there is one final song to sing.
Pretty short, but it's got all the bits.

Really like the vibe and visuals :)

Very original and cool idea.

Interacting with the sounds feelt like i was learning a communicating in a new language, very cool feeling!

Developer

Thank you for your uplifting feedback!

The music interaction is inspired by birdsong, so learning a language is a high compliment!

This game confused me.

But strangely, I enjoyed it. At first I wondered why I kept going random ways (which made the two consecutive jumps very hard), but after a while, I figured out that I had to replay the song (I think? I'm still not entirely sure).

The graphics and sound are both very good in their own weird way. The only thing I wonder is, in the credits someone's credited for 'Narrative'. What does that mean exactly?

Even after playing, I'm still slightly confused. But I enjoyed it, so well done!

Developer

I'll have to let lemonyscapegoat describe it in full, but the game would have been a walking simulator.

An initial sketch of the character implied a movement mechanic which led an eviroment design and challenge, which eventually led to a villain who hampers your agency (the blasts from the radio tower) and an act structure. Most of this thematic heavy lifting was in a brainstorm discord call with lemonyscapegoat leading the way.

Ok, thanks! I figured the tower was the 'bad guy' or something. The radio tower blasts looked really cool, by the way.

Another thing I wondered: How does the main character actually look when not pixelated? I thought it was a white horse or a unicorn or something, but I don't know. (This isn't important, just wondering)

Developer (1 edit)

He's a little robot cricket dude, credit to lemonyscapegoat

Ooooh, that's cool! Also kinda makes sense with the radio signal disrupting it

*confusion*

I could figure out that I was supposed to replay the music with my arrow keys. I just moved towards the tower because i didn't know what else to do and then I won apparently. Interesting game but I still don't know what it is about.

I just could not figure out what was going on. I repeated the input sequence many times and nothing seemed to happen.
