Super fun and very polished for a jam game! You could do a lot with this concept.

It might get tiresome running around collecting the crystals, but it's clever design; It makes you decide between moving the tower and earning money for upgrades. Also gives you something to do when you don't need to move the tower.

Thank you so much, we also loved the final result! We're really curious to test this same concept but with a game with more towers, we think this collecting mechanic might resolve one of the "problems" of traditional tower defense games

Cool game! I specially liked the boss and the ending was an awesome little touch. There is one thing that I don't know if it's intendeed, when you are carrying the tower you move way faster.

Yeap! We want to change the animation in the next few days to make it more obvious that the tower makes you faster. We thought about this idea at the final hours, so we didn't have time to make it more clear. Yet, in a design point of view, we think it's better if you move faster when you are defenseless, since it's a nice risk vs reward situation. Thanks a lot for the feedback :D

This game is a really cool concept. I really enjoyed frantically running around to place my tower to keep the enemies at bay. Only critique is that the rules were not obvious to me. Took me till wave 4 on the first level that I realized I needed to pickup the crystal things to upgrade my turret. Other than that this was super enjoyable to play. Well done!

I didn't think a one-turret tower defense could work, but this is absolutely fantastic, feels great to play, nice feedback for each shots, adorable art and weapon upgrade (I think the selection cursor should be made more visible, a small red triangle is easily missed). This game has the potential to become a truly deep tower defense (adding more turrets, various shots and whatnot!). Really good work!

Honestly probably the best game I've played from this jam so far (of about 20, but still).  I really liked the tower defense idea, since it's a genre of game that I wouldn't think would work with only one tower at all (at least more than trivially), but you made it work, and fully thought out the idea.  The gems keep the player engaged too, so they're not just waiting while the tower does its thing.  I'm super impressed too that you managed to have a boss stage as well.  And of course the art is really good.

This game is awesome, really polished and well made with good enemies and flow. I'm pretty sure i ran into one bug where the speed power up seemed to carry over between levels when you pick up the tower but honestly it's not even that much of a problem.

There's an expected behavior that when you hold the tower, you are faster. I know that this souds weird, but as soon as we inverted the speed (with tower faster than without it), we noticed that there was a clever risk vs reward situation. But at that time, we'd already had the animation. In a future update, after the jam is over, we're going to change the animation to make it more obvious that you are faster with the turret. Thanks a lot for the feedback :D

Really great execution of the idea.  The art is great and the controls are slick.  I really liked how you guys added the gems to collect which keeps things interesting for the player.  This has always been a negative of tower defense games.  Awesome work!

honestly I gave this one full marks. We thought about a 1 tower tower defense but this take on it is just epic IMHO. Good job, well flushed out, fun graphics, effective sound, solid adherence to theme.
