Really great, wonky game! I love it! Art is on point, gameplay ... yeah, exactly how you would expect it :D Makes you want to try and try again! Great job!
I just hope the narwhal is ok with falling so much (at least with my skills) :)
I seriously giggled the entire time I played this submission. Such whimsy. Excellent job!
i love how absurd this is. Despite being fairly difficult, I felt the "one more try" mentality while playing and enjoyed playing it. well done! there's also a strong adherence to the jam theme here. the unicycle alone would have been enough, but there are many iterations of the "only one" theme on display that make this a great entry. good stuff :)
also, if you get the chance to give our game a shot, we'd love some more feedback :) https://malory98.itch.io/impulse
As a unicyclist, I can confirm that this is pretty much how it feels when you start learning to ride a unicycle. Well, your wheel doesn't start spinning a million miles an hour when you are in the air, but other than that... :-)

Nice! Yeah I should have disabled the motor in the air. I thought adding angular drag while airborne would have been sufficient.
Hah! Finally got to the end. Sweet!
Congratulations! I suspect you may be the first player to do it.
How about the developer? ;)
I think I can finish it once in every 20th or so try :)
Super fun, and hard. Really good physics based engine. I really love the art style. Best of luck
P.S. please rate my game https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/463810
Loved the idea. Pretty addicting but it's so hard. Felt like physics freaked out when going too fast but that's physics for you. Would be good to see other control options left right arrow or touch on each side (mobile)
Oh my god.
This is...
uh, um...
...perfect.
Very hard, but engaging gameplay. Quite an interesting spin on the game theme, love it.
All in Javascript, really?
Congratulations, I can't imagine how hard it was to make it happen.
The idea is also very interesting and above all impossible, I'm serious, I haven't even managed to reach what I believe was the first checkpoint.
Congratulations.
Thank you!
Javascript really isn't that difficult if you don't try to target older browsers. I think the entire game (including graphics then) is about 2000 lines of code excluding the physics engine.
Yup, this is def a rage game! I somehow managed to get past the first platform, my main strat was to tilt a little forward, then go full speed and let the physics do the rest lol. Had fun :)
Pah, what a nice idea :D Had a lot of fun and somehow managed to through the narwhal and move on :D Good job!
Made me laugh out loud, very hard but also very cute! Didn't mannage to beat this one, but great entry! Loved it!
I liked the game. But it is a little bit too hard. I think this game could be better if the physics were a bit more intuitive.
5 stars for originality! It is quite difficult, though and the camera isn't helping imho. Maybe less gravity could also make it more forgiving, idk.
Maybe I'm just terrible, but I was not able to make it more than half way. I think this game would be super fun if the physics were a bit more intuitive and forgiving. I found that if my poor narwhal tilted more than 10 degrees to either side I was inevitabley doomed. Great work!
This type of game needs spot on controls, unfortunately I could not exactly understand them and the game didn't give me enough feedback to show me where I was failing.
