Liked the world design, took me a bit to understand I had to hit each planet with precision

Developer

Yh I could’ve possibly added a tutorial or how to play section. Thanks for the feedback

It's realy nice entry. It's a good amount of small planet games this time. which is not a really simple task. Thank you for sharing.

Developer

thanks for reviewing.

Nice unique Idea, kind of difficult but I can see that being a draw. nice art as well

Developer

Yh I did need to ease the difficulty a little. Thanks for the compliment on the art :)

Like the one button gameplay! Lots of tension in the music. Looks like it would work well on mobile too. I've asked around about this, but I assume the art style is low poly, did you do any of the art courses on GameDevTV any recommendations?

Developer(+2)

Glad you liked the game and yes was going for a sort of mobile game style.
No I’ve not used any of the gdtv courses (tbh never heard of them until this game jam need to check it out)

The planets and ship is low poly but it’s a mix of a little voxel/pixel art I don’t think you can tell the pixel/voxel art since I made it a solid colour for the land or the water or lava.

But I used blockbench.net really simple and easy modelling. look at like a simple tutorial maybe use the car tutorial from the official blockbench YouTube channel. And then I used ChatGPT to show me a low poly small world for inspiration and using that picture I tried recreating it my way and it turned out great.

And for the UI I just used my pixel art (that idk I just had experience from stuff and looked at inspiration from other games or images I found online)

Key point use inspiration ig

Really nice concept! Interesting level design the deeper you go into the levels!

thanks for the review!

Great concept! That was fun to play and visually pleasing. Great job with such a short time span

Developer

thank you!

This must be very large as takes ages to load the web version. Very addictive, loved the graphics and gameplay. Really good entry and fits the theme perfectly !

Developer

thanks

webGL first load took some time to load, but I enjoyed the concept! Def hits that "OMG 1 more attempt, I'll get it this time!" One comment, the page mentions right click, but I had to use left click for launching/boost.

Developer

oh 😭 let me fix the game description. Glad you liked it tho

Submitted

nice work. fun and frustrating. Just an idea, would it work to be able to use some of your boost to apply slight corrections to your course? Im not saying full on steering, but just to tweak it at the cost of fuel?

enjoyed playing it. congrats on the jam

Developer

that could definitely work. I’ll consider it if I ever rework the game

Submitted

wow the game is so fun

Developer

glad you enjoyed it

I love the aesthetic - things like how the space background changes between levels really go a long way.
It quickly became very challenging for me, and I was not able to finish it.
I love how the simple idea explains itself instantly, the mechanics are easy to grasp even without a tutorial.
would love some drastically easier first levels to get used to the mechanics.

Glad you enjoyed the game! Feedback has been taken into consideration with the difficulty being a little too hard too quickly.

Submitted

Love the concept! Just needs a little level design finetuning to increase the difficulty more gradually between levels :)

I loved the idea and the game itself. I was thinking that maybe the music was not fitting the genre. Otherwise it's a bit hard but fun ! And it takes a long time to load !

Great job with your game! Man, I found it very challenging. I think I hit every asteroid and got sucked into all the blackholes in Level 2. It was fun to keep at it, but still no success. I'll come back and try it again. Oh, I also liked the look of all the graphics like the planets. Keep up the good work.

idea was great, im not sure but i was struggeling since level 2 and i kept going until level 5 and i couldn't beat a single one after level 2, it might have an idea but i am not getting it, lovely game tho good job!

Developer

yh the difficulty on the game may be a little too hard. need to work on my level creating skills.

Nice idea for a planet hopping game. Some instructions when playing the game would help.
