How in the world did you create this game in 13 days?!?! I have to say everything about this game is satisfying, addicting and so well made. I spent over an hour on this game and has SO much fun. The UI is perfect, the music is fun and the game loop is perfect. No doubt in my mind you will go very far, amazing job 10\10 🥰

It's really amazing how polished this game is! Played more than half hour and it's really fun. One suggestion is to change UI design so you don't need to click so many times to check manage ramen house/check its properties. I would definitely like to see a full version of this game in the future!
Great management game!
I came in for a minute and I've been playing for an hour!
Small suggestion. Maybe it's worth limiting employee training, or increasing their salary as they train.
Thank you!
Yeah it would balance a little the game to be less easy!
I loved playing this! the whole management experience was a lot to keep track of but that’s what made the whole game fun! Really well done on this!
Thanks!
great well polished game, I like how it is about managing a noodle business.
Thank you!
I really enjoy this kind of management game, and it's impressive that you pulled off a game like this within such a short time! I reached top 1 in about 26 turns—not sure if that's considered fast or slow, haha.
Anyway, I had a lot of fun playing it. I also really liked the UI—it’s very intuitive and easy to understand. The details and data are well presented too. Nice entry!
Some finished before 20, but the fact that you are rank1 means a lot for me, you played it a long time!
Thanks!
I love the graphics and audio. I always love business management games and making my number bigger band bigger.
Thanks! Haha I do love that too!
Love the puns and the groovy music! I'm super impressed that you made this with Phaser and React. There was a learning curve but once you got used to it, things made sense. I did get a Google Cloud Storage access denied error at the end.
Thanks! Oh snap, the localestorage management on itch may be a little broken.
I am very much impressed by the amount of depth your game has to offer! I will be playing the game again to advance in the ranks to the heavenly tier, I enjoyed playing it!
Thank you so much
Wow, very complex. Congrats!! I did get an
AccessDenied
Access denied page after a round was over.Thaaanks! The localestorage management (deleting save) on itch may be a little messy, I’ll watch it after the jam.
I've never expected a sim game in jam but it was great. I coulnd't get to top in noodle empire. Maybe in the future.
Also: if you wanna fix it there was issue when tried to return to main menu. I reload the page to play couple times.
"AccessDenied
Access denied."Thaanks! I will watch this localestorage or else error after the jam.
The game delete the save after a game over.
To see a full-fledged sim from a game jam is nothing but impressive.
I wasn't sure what I was doing. I thought I had to spend my fund early to make good progression, but I kept losing money.
I love the hip music to set the mood and the graphic is good. I wasn't sure if it was intentional but that bowl-helmet and noodles hair was pretty funny.
I think the "social" mechanic could be emphasised as I felt I was doing more, managing the restaurant compared to just single clicking the social stuff.
Well done!
Thank you for the review!
Yeah, I would have loved to do a tutorial in the beginning because the game is pretty simple in fact, but you have to know exactly how it works before grinding ranks!
Cozy business sim game. The UI looks very good, the music is chill just as needed and all the little animations add a ton of life to what would otherwise be a spreadshit. :)
Maybe a bit of interface sounds would help complement that.(it's already there, sorry)I felt like I spent a bit too much of time going back and forth into menus, I would really like to be able to go to an employee management screen from its noodle bar they're working at, or to merge the assign and upgrade menus for noodle bars (so I don't have to remember what are the skills of my employees there).
The training thing is a bit tedious when you have many employees, it seems you want to do it with all of them anyway, so maybe it'd be nice making it automatic after each period (maybe a bit more random). You could keep a special "training" option that have greater effect and make the employee unavalaible for the period, forcing the player to handle turn over between employees.
The work / life balance is a nice way to stick to the theme, but here we can make both every period anyway.
Good job making it all in the short timespan of the jam!
(P.S.: Employee level cap is always displayed as x/5 in Noodle bar assignment screen, whatever their real level cap is)
Thanks so much for the review. Yeah there is a room for UX in this game.
Thanks for all the suggestions (and the skill cap bug)!
fun game, a bit hard to know what to do, but once you know it is very satisfying
Thanks, yeah you are totally right, it's missing a "tutorial period", I ran out of time :' )
Became a legend in the 19th period!
It was quite interesting to play, the only thing, as you mentioned, is a bug with the pictures, after the end of a period and the beginning of the next one, the game freezes, so the only way to continue playing is to reload the game after each period and play one period per page refresh.
There is a visual bug with the truncated list of actions - the last item is shown somewhat truncated, some sections have a scroll and are displayed well.
There is also a bug with employee training, when the employee has reached the maximum level in terms of characteristics (200), the training button is available further, money is given for training, the employee's level increases, but the characteristics remain unchanged.
I really liked the texts of strangers I met during my vacation - did you write them yourself or did you get them from somewhere? I was especially amused by Rico - the delivery man, he reminded me of Rico the penguin from Penguins of Madagascar - just as crazy :D.
It's cool to see how much a team with a musician, designer, developer can accomplish - this is a good example of the fact that there are only 24 hours in a day and you can do much more in a team than alone, no matter what your skills are :).
The music and graphics were nice, the music was perfect for this game. The music was not to be excluded, which indicates excellent harmony and good quality, as were the graphics, I especially liked the scooters for calculating revenue (by the way, I reached a billion without selling any of the businesses, but only by buying new ones, the last one I bought was the most expensive :)).
I think multiplayer where you would compete with other business owners is not a bad idea if improved :).
Well played, congratulations!
It was fun, especially texts from strangers ;).
P.S.
For the UI interactive parts do you use Phaser plugins for UI or something else?
What a review, thank you so much! 19 periods to be rank 1 is a really great!
Thanks for all the feedback, I’m taking notes and I’ll fix things after the jam (good catch about the level cap, but I think it might just be a display bug!).
Actually, I was working alone on the project, even if I got a lot of help from GPT-4o, to learn the right structure to use, debug (there were a lot of bugs), and create images (then I edited/touched them up in Figma/Photopea). Music artists are credited in the description ;)
As for the "confidants", I wrote the text myself and then got help correcting it, because my English is pretty simple. I wanted to make the relationship deeper in the game but time was against me!
Thanks for the suggestion about multiplayer! I think I’d need to make the game a bit more complex first, because right now it’s pretty simple and it could get boring over time (I simplified it a lot for the jam and for debug issues).
For the UI, I used the official React + Phaser template: React handles the interface, and Phaser only takes care of scenes and game logic (https://github.com/phaserjs/template-react).
Oh, so it's only you but with GPT-4o :), I also planned to try working with neural networks, but there was no time for that, so I went the proven path :), and I also wanted to collaborate with musicians, but unfortunately I finalized the game right before the deadline, so there was nothing to voice by now :D.
If I understand correctly, you found musicians at this jam? Maybe on Discord?
If you are the author of the lyrics, then I take my hat off to you - very cool lyrics! I really resonated with these stories! And when it comes to reading them, I myself partially used a translator :D.
Oh, thanks for sharing what you worked with for the UI part! I liked how it looks in the game, so I think it's safe to use it :)
On itch.io you can find game assets here : https://itch.io/game-assets
There are lot of artists, that can give their work for your projects. You can buy and/or attribute them in your game!
Thanks again :D
I got you, thank you too :D.
It was a bit hard at first to understand how to play: a lot of options, a lot of possible actions to do with few guidance ^^'
But when I start to get how it works, it becomes very funny: I've planed to play for few minutes but I ended up playing more than 1 hour and reached the #1 rank! Human brain loves progress bar and increasing numbers, and your game is full of them: so it's very addictive :D
Thanks for the review, I'm glad that you enjoyed it!!!
it lack a tutorial period yes. (I do love big numbers that increase too ;))
The Ui is Great and there is so many things, The game is overall very good.
Thanks!
The art style is amazing, both the pixel art as well as the UI in general are very polished. Well done!
Thanks!
Such a cool game! Been playing since an hour! We can't save our progress, can we? Business is BOOMING! lol!
Hey Thanks! There is an autosave after each period ;)
