Funny and innovative take on the theme. Great submission!
That was funny :)
I love that you have a README and License file (main criteria for open source category). Next step would be filling out your README. You can add information about the game, screenshots, and even just take what's on your submission page: https://pgad.itch.io/presidents-red-cap.
The sound effects are lovely and chill. You put a lot of work into the narrative; love it. The art style is interesting and fits nicely in with your game. It'd be cool if you could also just press anywhere on the text bar to select the option you'd like rather than just having to press the red paper plane.
Great work on your submission. It was a lot of fun.
Hey, thanks for playing the game! And thanks for suggestion on making it keyboard playable. Pretty useful tips!
Glad it was useful feedback. Congrats again.
I really like the concept, and it’s great that you included a tutorial! (My game also has one—feel free to check it out if you have time XD)
I did notice a couple of small bugs, such as the day not updating correctly and the economy value not reflecting changes. But, nice job overall!
Currently, it seems that the events don’t connect to each other—if earlier decisions could affect later outcomes, it might add an interesting layer of strategy, almost like a deck-building system where balance becomes more impactful. Looking forward to seeing how this project develops!!
Thanks for your suggestions Leo.
Yes, right now the events are discrete and random. I liked your suggestion to make this a deck building system.
A fun game to play! Love the art, UI, the cap)
UI is super user friendly and self explanatory.
The tutorial intro is genius, it is short and clear.
Don't know about how much content is out there but i get the same day twice (7th and 8th days, about the giant lab animal that went on streets)
Thanks for playing the game.
Sorry that you ran into a bug. Somehow it could be related to key bouncing issue which results in same event.
Really good game. The UI is incredible. I would love the have my OS interface look alike. The concept is too the point and fun.
Haha! Thanks for the comment! Yes, the UI is handsketched.
A really funny and enjoyable game. I liked the graphics, the music, and the game concept, which fit perfectly with the game. Well done!
I'd really appreciate it if you could try out my game too, rate it, and share your feedback. It would mean a lot!
Thanks for playing. I played and rated your game as well.
Hilarious, on point, and fun. Very cool game!
Thanks for playing and happy that you enjoyed it :)
This is an amazing game! Cool interpretation of the theme, I love the humor and the graphics fit the game very well! Maybe the only thing which would need some improvement is the soundtrack. It got a bit repetitive after some time. Some minor details to improve:
Besides that, this is a very cool game and idea. The tutorial was super and the simplicity and length of the game are perfect for a game jam entry!
Well done, congratulations!
You are the highlight my rating session: https://x.com/Stiggstogg/status/1918725227820785847
Hey, thanks for playing and detailed feedback!
The game is made for this game jam and 11in-game days, so could be repetitive after a bit.
The hints from the red cap were purposely kept a bit chaotic so that player wont rely too much on it, otherwise the game would be too predictive and not fun :D
Thanks for sharing this on X! I shared your post, very proudly, on LinkedIn!! You are the best!
Cool! This is a fun take on the theme. I think someone has mentioned this, but it seems to skip a day at some point so it ends on day 12/11.
Thanks for playing the game and appreciating it.
There is an issue with the button being accidently being clicked twice so it increases the number of days but not the story. We'll fix this after the jam.
Haha nice. The visuals and audio are really good.
Hey, thanks :)
Haha nice. The visuals and audio are really good.
Haha nice. The visuals and audio are really good.
Love the humor and music! UI was clean as well. Not sure if this was intentional but I managed to get the same chirp prompt twice in a row.
Thanks for playing :)
The chirp prompt could repeat as it's randomly selected from a set of respective responses.
Ah makes sense!
Cool idea that matches the theme. The news and chirps are quite fun and the red cap is more helpful than another certain household object with big eyes... I just don't get why it made an angry face after each time I chirped.
The UI looks good but the scribbly paper theme doesn't really match what the games talks about: a social network. The music is nice, but the sounds are what makes most of the atmosphere vibing here.
I had the alien event repeated two days on a row on my first playthrough, but not on the second.
Solid job!
Thanks for playing the game!
I guess the button somehow may get clicked twice too fast sometimes and this occurs. We'll fix this after the jam.
Fun idea with a slightly unexpected implementation of the current theme.
I found that the "Next Day" button can be clicked even when it's invisible, and even right at the very start before the tutorial. And in this case this locks the game)
Thanks for playing the game :)
We did not know that hidden objects are still clickable in GDevelop, the engine we are using. We'll fix it after the jam.
Really fun and good use of the theme. Clean implementation, UI perfectly fit, and the red cap is so fun.
It's a little difficult for people whose first language is not English. I think that if all sentences are in a separate files, current AI could done a great job with translation. Sometimes they can even be excellent with a sense of humor 😄
Thanks for playing the game! And the excellent suggestion!
We will surely take this suggestion if we decide to further extend the game :)
Well executed! Also the name of my game is one of your Chirp's hashtags! What the heck
Hey, thanks for playing the game!
The 'pawductivity' was totally unintentional coincidence :)
Fun and unique idea!I had a great time playing!
Glad you enjoyed the game :)
Thanks for the comment!
Fun times, I never got tired of winning. Really well done!
