I'll just leave this here. Consider it a challenge!

No, thank YOU for making this game! I wouldn't have played this much if I didn't like it! Ever since the shovel jam, I've been a big fan. What's that star wars quote? "We will be watching your career with great interest."

Ok not quite but I'll take it. Yeah that one trick I keep finding more uses for. It's really cool to figure those out.

Man how did they do that. I've been grinding for a while now and I haven't made it, but I figure I know a bit about the game now to mention some things. As a minor nitpick, I don't know about you, but I think if you have two shoes on the banana peel, shouldn't they both jump 2 spaces? This can sometimes happen if you have both shoes hop together straight onto a banana so it happens very rarely. It did kill me though... Oh also I figured out that you can hold down a crumbly tile and have the other shoe walk over the crumbly tile to get both across, that's a pretty cool trick!

Ok that seems very hard. I will take that as a challenge. This is really fun though so I don't mind!

Not in the jam but tadaa! Awsum.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for playing!

You got it! I think you're actually the first to get that reference! Thank you for playing?

Thanks for playing!

I'm glad you still enjoyed it despite that! Thanks for playing!

Thanks a lot for playing! Stay tuned for updates, I certainly hope to polish it up after this!

Thanks for playing! Actually this is my first time composing for a game, so I'm especially glad to hear you like the music!

Ok I had to look up Hunter S. Thompson. After reading his Wikipedia page,  I think I'm going to add Hell's Angels to my reading list! Thanks for playing and for the really specific reference!

Wow, I'm glad you liked it! Yeah, you're right! I thought basically if I give a time limit and a bunch of requests, it should be able to push anyone to write something! You know, a half-finished story written down is better than the perfect story in your head, that kind of thing. Also, thanks a lot for posting your  story, it kind of melts my heart a little when people do that.

(1 edit)

Really inspired take on the theme! I won't spoil it, but the owl one was really funny.  As someone else mentioned though, there is a bug with the half life minigame where the can gets stuck on the one side, but that's a minor nitpick.

Edit: yay!

Ah ok. Well, I'll have to tweak the grading system some more then! The version on the link at the bottom of the game page does have a few small changes to the grading system, but honestly it's really minor so it's mostly the same. And for the second thing, yeah... Although honestly it should not be too difficult to incorporate other languages with similar characters and grammar if I can just find a word bank and how rare the words are. Well, thanks a lot for the advice!

Funnily enough, midway through I was getting really worried the writing would be super tedious and unfun (I mean, it's literally microsoft word) so I started dropping in the minigames like every 30 seconds to paper and plaster over it. Luckily, my brother shook me back to my senses and told me to tweak the writing part a bit and add some stuff. So I'm glad it somehow came through and people are actually engaging with that part more than the minigames! Hmm, the arcade idea sounds interesting. I guess it could be based on bonus words to avoid word spam? Thanks a lot for the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback! Actually, if you don't mind me asking, are the rules about the minigames or the writing? I'm curious. I think if we ever add more minigames and expand on this, we will have a sort of gallery to play all of them and obviously some kind of tutorial. Anyways, thanks for playing the game!

Man, the art in this game is beautiful. I really like the message about literally "Just Getting Started", and I feel like the tile system being kind of tricky is part of the feeling that you still have a lot to learn. Great job! Here is my creature :D

The visuals, especially those pastel clouds in the sky are really great! Now this is subjective, but I think that when you're reeling in the fish, the clouds appear a bit too quickly to react to easily. Plus, maybe there can be some more gameplay when casting the rod? I don't know. Anyways, I enjoyed it, good job!

Nice! To be honest, it started kind of slow, but just a couple minutes in it really snowballed and I was dropping mines left and right. I got pretty hooked by that point and soon enough I got all the tiles!

Just a really minor nitpick, I think the tutorial text could've used a different color. The cyan blue is a bit hard to read against the background (maybe an outline around the font?) Oh and it'd be pretty cool if I could zoom out and admire the full map for a moment. But overall, nice game! Had a great time.

Aha yeah, I will consider tweaking that one slightly. Especially after last time I tried it I failed both times. Thanks for playing! I'm happy you enjoyed it!

Wow. This is definitely my favorite game so far, and actually maybe my favorite from any jam I've been in?? I'm going to come back to that one once I look through the other games from other jams. But pretty much every aspect of this game is top notch, and it all comes together really, really well. Congratulations to everyone who worked on this!

Thanks a lot for playing! Oh yeah, the minigames can be very devious. Was it the spaceship one? That one can be real tough. Also don't worry, getting a positive score is basically a win in this game. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for playing! That's really the best praise we could ask for! I'm very glad you enjoyed it!

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Hmm, maybe I'll try to ramp it up more slowly later. I appreciate the feedback!

Thanks for playing! I'm happy you had fun. As for the win condition, there is actually no win condition other than getting as much money and kills as possible. If you'd like a challenge, my best is 39 kills ;)

Ah well that's fair. The limitation is supposed to be that the assassins and the targets are all random and so "unpredictable", but I guess that's not really the rules that are unpredictable. But anyways, appreciate the feedback! Glad you liked the presentation!

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah the criticism on the sound design is fair, something I need to get a better sense for. I'm glad you noticed the animation! We paid quite a bit of attention on that.

Really solid! I think with more enemy variety and cleaning up the UI a bit, this could be a really sweet game!

Nice game! Honestly, I'd have no idea where to start with making a game purely in js but I can tell this is impressive! I really love the animation of the fish (eyeballs and walking). Though to be frank, I am in the camp of thinking the controls are a bit finicky. All in all, great work :)

Fun idea! Given the theme, I'm surprised I haven't seen as many "shoot to move" games but this plays with that concept in a very different way that meshes well with the theme. I hope to see more content added in the future!

Cool! This is a fun take on the theme. I think someone has mentioned this, but it seems to skip a day at some point so it ends on day 12/11.

Nice! I just wish the cars could run you over.

Thank you so much! Actually I went and checked out your game and I am kind of amazed and gobsmacked. It's really, really good.

I'm kind of a sucker for physics based stuff so I really liked this game! I like the artwork of the little guy and his hands. Definitely one of my favorites!

Thanks for your feedback! I think I did consider that at one point but for time I didn't in the end. Actually, if this ever gets expanded on, I think I'll try to make different modes between you getting to test it first and not because I did find it pretty funny when a robot I thought would definitely win flounders horribly and explodes.

This is a really good concept, I could definitely see myself playing this while waiting in line somewhere. However, to be perfectly honest, I think you should turn down how far objects get flung when you hit them with another object. There's not a lot of space on the scales so it does happen pretty often. Or maybe that's just a me thing :). Anyways, I really like it, I'd love to see it get developed further!
