Overall nice gameplay and there is some variety in tileset!
Lots of efforts seem to have gone into it.
The overall objective was not too clear but was fun to play.
Well, I fought with a spear, a sword, a bow, put on different armor, but I didn't get past the first level :).
I'm not sure I understood how to get through it at all, on the other hand I could let the battlefield go for quite a long time :D. Maybe having some hints would have improved the situation, on the other hand there was a tutorial level which is cool! But there was so much text that I skipped half of it, don't hold it against me :).
It was fun to fight, although without balance :D. Congratulations!
Thank you for feedback!
Will think about the hints, maybe it is not too clear on what to do, but my idea was, the player kills enemies and gets an antidote, that could be used on other defeated animals (icons that remains for some time after killing an animal) to "cure" them, and for each level there is particular amount of targets that have to be cured (panel at top right corner).
Have not though about removing explicit cure from the player until this moment, but the story depends on it, hmmm.
And i guess the better idea is to make auto "cure" if the player have more than particular amount, so it could steel exist in the game lore and advance level completion.
Well done on your first jam! The difficulty ramped up after the first level which was a fun challenge! The controls were easy to use and felt smooth, especially the attack. I hope you will decide to enter more jams after this.
Interesting theme! I also think the pixels are bit blurry, but the game is fun to play
Cool game. I think it would make so much difference if the pixel art wasn’t blurred and was more defined. Well done though
Nice game!
I’d agree with others about the ranged enemies. Sometimes I got early armor and weapons, and it was pretty easy—until lots of ranged enemies showed up.
From a technical point of view, the sprites look a little blurry to me, and icons/text shift around in fullscreen.

A very satisfying game! Sound effects are spot-on, the music worked well, controls felt natural.
Happy to see you made a little tutorial, it was very helpful!
Definitely fits the theme, loved all the little characters.
Great job. ~
Cool idea, i really like how you used the theme. But man, the first level (after tutorial) is just plain brutal! I think it would help if the difficulty curve was a bit less steep because i just kept getting completely overwhelmed by all those ranged attacks :P
cute little game! if the assets are in pixel art try to import them using the filter point option, this will probably make the sprite looks less blurry, congrats on your first game jam :D
It seemed strange that the enemies were static. Congrats on your first game jam!
