Hey there, I played your game as part of my "Let's play" video. Check it out!
I saw it, thanks ;).
Here's more about what should have been :).
https://itch.io/post/1277166
Oh yah, I could tell there were some things missing, but the idea could work well. Perhaps if the game evolves in some way while it's paused, then the switch could be used strategically to get out of a dangerous situation.
This was unique and really fun. Seems like 3 games in total, two that you play and the third having to balance them. I found it funny that every button in the menu started the game (even options and credits). Adding a restart option would be nice so you don't have to refresh the page each time. Well done!
I'm glad you appreciated my idea! Your perspective on 3 games in a game is also unique :D.
As for the menu, there should have been pages of options and credits, but since there wasn't even a restart button, what else could we say, time won't wait ;).
Thanks for playing and for the feedback - I appreciate it!
Cool concept! It took me about a dozen tries to finally last 60 seconds, usually what got me was concentrating too hard on one side and forgetting to maintain the balance :P
A couple times, I wound up in seemingly impossible situations, eg 3 cars spawned in sequential lanes, and the only escape lane was blocked. I wonder if the game could detect and avoid traps like that…. Probably a much bigger programming challenge than it sounds.
If you’re going to keep building on it, the four biggest things to tackle would be:
Oh, you were able to play until the end of the timer and win - I'm really happy :). It's also nice that you appreciated my idea!
I know it was not easy for you because of the constant page reloading due to the lack of a restart button, a few hours before the deadline I wanted to add a big mechanic for the tanks - so that they could shoot, but everything became so broken that I used almost all the time before the deadline to fix it :D.
Nice catch with impossible situations in the car game! I guessed it was possible, and had plans to avoid such cases, but time waits for no one ;).
Also thanks for the suggestions!
Honestly I don't know how many people use a gamepad for such games - a lot? As for using a mouse and keyboard - an interesting idea! As for the music - oh, someday it will appear and it will be a holiday :D. It would be interesting to hear your experience with adding music :).
Thanks for playing and the feedback - I appreciate it!
I really like this concept, nice job!
Glad to hear :).
Thanks for playing my game!
Nice integration of the theme, and the gameplay(s) are good.
What i dont like so much is the javascript-alert, that disturbes the flow.
nice entry!
Nice to hear your praise for my interpretation of the theme! Also glad to hear about the gameplay :).
Regarding javascript-alert I completely agree, unfortunately time did not wait and I did not have time to do so much, not to mention restarting the game :).
I hope you had fun, thanks for playing!
Nice idea! It would be awesome if the tank could shoot the others and get score from it, without it, it feels like the first game with just obstacle avoidance
Heh buddy), the tank shooting was planned exactly as you described, but it happened - deadline ;).
Here's more about what should have been :).

It's nice to hear that you appreciated the idea!
Thank you for playing!
I love that you have a README (fill it out with some information - such as what's on your submission page: https://unique-chars.itch.io/balance), and have a License file (main criteria for open source category).
Add a menu and controls (once you lose) so that it goes back to the start of the game or similar. I had to refresh the game and re-run the game from there. Interesting concept, I enjoyed the way you put this together. Good take on the theme and rather creative; maybe make the "balance" scale more obvious so you can tell it's scales. The physics is a little off on the car collisions, but nice job either way. Add some sound effects and music to make this super immersive.
Hello!
You are not you without mentioning Redmi ;). Having listened to your advice, I updated Redmi, and also added a license. Regarding the license, I am not sure how to combine several licenses into one large one, since there was already a license from the Phaser template, I wanted to expand it, but it turned out only replacements, not sure if this is legal :). Regarding these changes - these are changes after submitting the application, so I am not sure that they can be taken into consideration, in any case, what is is what is :).
As for restarting the game - alas, time waits for no one, so you have to do whatever you can to get around it, in my case - the lack of a restart button :D.
Sound effects and music are a dream that may someday appear in my games, but while we're waiting, spice up my game with your favorite soul tune :D.
You can read more about what was supposed to be in the game in the previous comment ;).
Good idea about improving the vision of scales through better vision!
It's nice to hear the appreciation of my interpretation of the theme and its creativity - happy-happy-happy :).
Thanks for playing, and also for the feedback - I appreciate it!
You did a really good job. I can see you updated the README and added License file too, nice job. You don't really need to combine several licenses, one is more than sufficient. For games and things like this, the MIT license you chose is perfect.
The feedback I give is for future implementation is you like, you did a good job on getting your game to this point for the game jam. Well done and wishing you all the best with future projects and jams.
Oh, feedback for the future - of course, thank you!
Thank you for participating and I wish you everything you wrote in the last sentence as well :)!
P.S.
I just found out that you're stream playing games from this jam, reading about a comment in another game - and as they said, when someone plays your game and you see it - you're happy like a child and enjoy it :). Thank you very much for that!
Hahahah - yeah I was only playing and judging games not submitting an entry 😉. Well done on your submission again and good luck for the final announcements.
Thanks! Good luck with your luck :D.
I wonder if our correspondence is the longest in this jam, if so, then that's a kind of victory :D. How about a new category?
To be honest, I cheated a bit, I won the Phaser Editor Developer License for year last year at the 13kb jam (3rd place in the theme category – what? madness!), which you also mentioned in your stream at the beginning :), and I used this license to get acquainted with this tool, and to make learning more interesting, I decided to combine business with pleasure and took part in this jam. So the fact that I got acquainted with Phaser Editor is already a victory :D.
However, in any case, I tried to approach the idea creatively, as always (I have to compensate for the lack of music somehow :D), so it would be cool to take a place in the first half, at least up to 200 :D.
Again, you have a lot to read. Sorry, but not sorry :D.
Just having fun, hope you do too :).
Yeah always lots of fun.
I really like your game idea! I came up with something similar, but in my game you play two games simultaneously, whereas in your game you need to switch between them, which gives it quite a different taste. As much as I like the concept I think the game still needs some improvements. Here is a bit of input which hopefully helps you to improve the game:
I hope you keep working on this game, because I think it is a very cool concept. Congratulations to this entry and a good starting point for a cool game!
It's nice to hear that you liked my idea, I liked it too :D.
Interesting idea about complexity and its correlation when you play the game yourself during its development and when others play - - very clever!
Regarding the Credits and Options menu - I just didn't have time to do it, the same can be said about all the other possible improvements from you :). I really planned to do all this, but let's be honest, if I didn't even have time to make a button to restart the game... - you understand me :D.
I really appreciate all your suggested improvements, it's always nice to get feedback from other people, after all, that's what we do it for ;).
Regarding the continued improvement of the game - if only there were sponsors :D.
Thank you for playing!
I can fully relate :). At the beginning of a jam you have soooo much cool ideas, but then the timeline comes closer and you need to make cuts :).
Nice try!
I tried it!
Unique idea and fits the theme!
Glad to hear it, I hope you had fun :).
Interesting interpretation of the theme. Good job!
It's nice to hear the interest in my interpretation of the theme, it was quite exciting to implement it :).
Thanks for playing!
Just won with 20pts!
Simple fun game. Funny that each item on the main menu launch the game haha
Congratulations on your win!
The menu really turned out to be fun, of course it was planned as a separate form of art, but what is there is there ;).
