Pretty nice take on the theme using Breakout as the base! Nice work on vibe coding too! The music is really making a difference to the game and makes it charming to play. A small improvement could be to tell what the 'balance' means. It took me by surprise. Lol!
A fun redo of Breakout! Love the music and how the balance theme was implemented into the game. It also contains a diverse set of powerups (although a few weren't obvious what they do?) and overall is really impressive considering the time it was created in. Well done!
Always love arkanoid and the balance twist seems fitting! The only powerup I didn't like that much was magnetic.

There was a point when my ball was moving almost horizontally, and it took kind of a long time to get out of that. Maybe you could add a check when they rebound, like force it some minimum distance from the cardinal directions?
Great observation! Yes, I did run into some of what you describe early on, and I made it so that the ball always bounces off the paddle at a certain minimum angle (or it's supposed to be that way, anyway). I also found that I needed to introduce a few degrees' randomness in the bounce off of bricks or I could run into trouble. But it appears there is more work to be done. 😊

A fun and interesting reinterpretation of the classic Breakout!
The concept is simple, but I really liked how different power-ups start to appear as you progress through the levels — it keeps things fresh and adds a nice sense of progression. The only thing that felt a bit off was the speed power-up; it felt more like a curse than a bonus. Maybe it would help if it also increased the paddle speed along with the ball?
In any case, great job — this was an enjoyable little game to play. Keep it up ^^

Yes, with the various Breakout-style games I've played in the past, I more often than not found myself avoiding the speed boost (unless the ball was more or less "trapped" in the upper part of the screen breaking bricks like no one's business, or with the fireball powerup). Very fun, super nostalgic! Great gameplay, boosters are very cool and satisfying, awesome use of nostalgia with the jam's theme. (P.S. - Do some of the bricks look a bit like a Nintendo Switch on purpose or is my ADHD brain working overtime again?) Great job, I loved it! 🥰

I got to level 4, I feel like the lowest bricks should be placed higher to give you more time to react to bounces, also maybe increase the speed of the bar? anyways, had fun playing it :D
