You have a README which is great, but you'll need a License file as well (these are two main criteria for open source category). I really love the emojis in your README. Add a screenshot to make your README even better.
Loving the graphics and colour scheme. The sound effects and music are great. Really got me in the vibes. I think I glitched it; said next wave coming and it never came, lols. The game is great though, I enjoyed the fact that the player can't just spam the shoot button. Probably need to allow the "Esc" button to bring up the menu to either restart the game (in my case the game glitched) or see options, pause menu etc.
The little character is super cute and I love that when you're going backwards it looks like it's moonwalking!
Super nice job. I was particularly pleased by a couple of things
- that when you get 50 corruption you don't instantly game-end you have a chance to barely survive because you merely take a (bad) damage hit. I'm down for little subtleties that leave a door open a crack.
- i liked that as a novice I was able to kind of immerse and just roguelite rampage a little before noticing the over-arching timer system for the waves in the upper-right. The pacing of letting the player kind of gradually work that out seemed to progress nicely.
As with all jams if someone bothered to write a long-ish rating that's a good sign.

Excellent entry! the gameplay feels great, the music is on point, and the different skills make it feel fresh as you play. Not quite sure if the "balance" mechanic did it any favours though. It felt boring to just wait for the corruption to lower itself. Maybe the same concept could be applied but attacks are the thing that fills up the bar, and not attacking lowers it down (both in a quick fashion), so now you are rewarded for clearing a bug number of enemies with more efficient attacks, and you don't have to wait so much before beginning to attack. Kinda like an inverse stamina bar? just an idea!

I love the artstyle! I did not understand what exactly lets you recover corruption, still managed to reach wave 11, not bad I guess eheh

(and for taking the time to play! haha) - Yes! maybe it's not as intuitive, will definitely work on that as an improvement - but corruption has a "cooldown" timing. Every enemy adds +1 to your corruption bar, and a timer starts. If 5 seconds pass, and you have not killed another enemy, it goes down - otherwise it keeps building. Pink crystals/gems also help bring the timer down faster!
oh I see, I figured out the crystals part, but for the cooldown I probably never activated it (was constantly trying to kill enemies lol) or I couldn't notice the reduction, maybe a glowing bar which slowly reduces on top of the current corruption? it could be a nice visual to look at and also already quite enough descriptive :D
Ohh yes definitely! if you're constantly wiping out enemies, the cooldown won’t really kick in haha! A glowing bar is a super cool idea, I’ll definitely explore that once updates are back on. Thanks so much!!

Wow, this was a blast! The art style's lovely and the gameplay is nicely paced imo—I liked how it wasn't too intense off the bat and gradually builds up. I survived longer than I thought I would, not being too familiar with action-based games! Saving to my collection to play some more later. :D

I think it takes too long to spawn enemies and it cause the character not growing as faster as I expected.

The difficulty felt a bit too easy but other than that, the gameplay felt really smooth and the audio made everything feel more impactful.

Had fun playing this! For game jam game, this is great! Enemy bullets feels little too fast for this type of game, and weapon hotbar feels rather pointless and distracting, because next weapon always is better than your previous ones, so i think it would be better to just directly upgrade old weapon.

Very nice roguelike! The weapons upgrades feel really powerfull, the gameplay is crisp and the graphics are nice too.
I do think it takes a bit too long to get new weapons, but that's a minor balancing (haha) issue.I also notcied that the wave-counter doesn't seem to reset after you died?

You're absolutely right, I'm planning to move the skill unlocks to levels 5, 10, and 15 instead of 5, 15, and 20 to make things more dynamic. And yes great catch on the wave counter! that's definitely a bug! 😅 I'll definitely fix it once the GameDevJS 2025 jam re-enables uploads. Keeping track of everything, and really appreciate your feedback!!

Fun game ! Once you start unlocking more weapons it gets more interesting :) It would be nice to have a magnet area around the player for the resources !
