Excellent entry! the gameplay feels great, the music is on point, and the different skills make it feel fresh as you play. Not quite sure if the "balance" mechanic did it any favours though. It felt boring to just wait for the corruption to lower itself. Maybe the same concept could be applied but attacks are the thing that fills up the bar, and not attacking lowers it down (both in a quick fashion), so now you are rewarded for clearing a bug number of enemies with more efficient attacks, and you don't have to wait so much before beginning to attack. Kinda like an inverse stamina bar? just an idea!
