Cool game! I really liked the tutorial level and the physics, they felt very realistic. Here are some inputs which might help to improve the game:
- The instructions (after the tutorial levels) were shown very shortly. I usually was not able to read it. I would show them longer.
- I would have preferred to use "S" instead of right arrow to make the wheelie. I think it would feel more naturally and you would only need one hand to play it.
- For the restart I would have liked to be able to trigger it with a key. In this game you often need to restart so it feels a bit cumbersome that you need to grab the mouse to do this.
- The first real level is already pretty difficult. I would make sure you start super easy. Keep in mind, that you tested the game quite a bit during development and got very good at it. So what feels super easy for you is usually already quite difficult for new players.
Congratulations to this cool and addictive game!
Thank you very much Legend, Not only for the appreciation but also for pointing out the negatives you found out. Yeah I've realized that the instructions were short timed But that all after the submission Again thank you for suggesting tweaks like Restart button, And for the wheelie, Basically i wanted the feel of platformer WASD that's why i used the arrow key But your suggestion gave me an idea of pressing E to wheelie, That would feel realistic too, Lastly I wanted the game to be challenging so that is why i made the levels a bit hard but that's alright for most of my friends who tried it but as a developer you were right too, Thanks for Feeling the Joy of the game and calling it addictive boosts my dev confidence, Keep Gaming! 👍
Very very fun to play.
A simple text with a level number at the beginning of each level could have been nice (and not really complicated to do).
Note: I've beaten the game, but 0,5 sec after the end, all the box were on the ground 🤣
Love the wheelie option.
I will only suggest the camera to move toward the direction we are going to, would help figure out the next obstacle.
The music was relaxing and appropriate.
Nice! Fun physics that make sense right off the bat, and it works out to be pretty difficult.
Seemed like for most levels, taking it slow was the best strategy. You could add a level of complexity then by scoring on time, so the user is forced to balance safety and speed.
I liked the game's physics system, the smooth controls, and the vehicle's acceleration and deceleration. I think the game implemented the contest theme well. You could improve the graphics and add new mechanics and ideas to the stages in the future; that would make it perfect!
I'd really appreciate it if you could try out my game too, rate it, and share your feedback. It would mean a lot!
Interesting game, I especially liked the game physics and simple levels
Awesome smooth gamplay, backed by a chill music. Nice! Also the handling of the cart seems on point.
Things I would add:
- SoundFX (crashing packages, doorbell when the delivery is done, maybe some kind of (electric?) engine sound for the cart to indicate the current speed, etc.)
- ParticleFX (some optical eyecandy like dirt from the wheels acceleration/braking, smashing packges on the ground shattering into pieces, confetti when the delivery is done
Nevertheless: This is a very great and BALANCED entry! Congrats!
Thanks a ton for this detailed and heartwarming feedback!
Glad you liked the gameplay feel and music — I tried to keep it chill but engaging.
And yep, I totally agree with you on the SFX and ParticleFX — those touches would’ve taken the whole experience to the next level!
I’m definitely planning to polish this game more after the jam, and your suggestions are going straight into my dev notebook. Appreciate you taking the time — means a lot!
Fun game and nice progression, I'll be waiting for the full version ;) Would have liked to have some incentive to move faster, and it seems you can finish some levels even without all the cargo, but the physics-defying wheely-mechanic was really cool!
Really fun game, played all the way to the end, levels were fun and difficulty progression felt just right. Good job!
