Yep, the Time Keeper Dasher, it is a pretty great challenge, even for us devs, but it is so satisfying every time I beat it XD
I love the the idea of upgrading my ship as I play to last longer. Having the time limit makes this very interesting rather than just until enemies get to you. Good job

Very well made game, was enjoyable. Simple nice graphics and sound that matched the overall style.
(3 musics tracks would have been cool, since it gets rather repetative, but it is a gamejam so understandable)
In the start it were more luck then skill to go towards the next spawning energy orb, a pre defined indicator would maybe be nice to have.

Also it is not actually random where the energy orbs spawn, only the first one, all the others are determined by your position, the postion of other energy orbs etc... I like that you have to react to where it spawns and constantly update your internal traveler algorithm to find the most optimal route to grab all orbs while avoiding enemies eheh

It looks awesome, bunch of upgrades. Good thing to add is "achievements" for example survived for 30 second for first time and you get some upgrade points, to speed up gameplay progression
Thank you so much! We already have the architecture built for achievements, but we didn't make it in time, also we don't know if we want to make like "quests" so having a reward for completing them. Rather they will probably just be badges that you achieve and that's it. Something cool to show off on steam or whatever :D

It's a well-polished game! I really like the sound effect and the music; it builds up the game vibes really well :D
Maybe you can add some particle effects when clicking on the icon on the skill tree, something like tiny explosion effects with particles, increase the visuals!

we were going to implement little sounds when upgrading a node, and when the resources fly from the resource display to the node itself, but we were running out of time and we couldn't figure out how to make it work properly in time. But yeah sure we will definitely improve even more on the visual effects/particles etc...

The game is incredibly well polished and the gameplay is really fun! There also seems to be a LOT of content which is very impressive! The only thing though, design wise, is I that the way you die is never from being overwhelmed but by running out of time. It never feels like you have a chance to do better, but rather that you need to get upgrades. This makes it tedious and slow to pick up for new players. I loved getting further in and unlocking upgrades, so I think that maybe there should be maybe a faster ramp-up or at least make it possible to live for longer than a few seconds if you aren't hit by the enemies at all. I love the game though!!!! I think it's really pretty.
Thank you so much! This is such a fair criticism, we thought about it as well, and we definitely agree with you, eventually it is possible to survive indefinitely even with the drain. But in general I like the drain as it forces you to always be in a rush, you can't wait, time does not stop, and you are constantly fighting it. I think this leads to fun play patterns, the sacrifice to pay is that sometimes you die even by playing perfectly, but even this, as the game is meant to be Speedrunned, is rather a "make the most out of the limited time you have".
As for the progression, it is definitely not easy at all to find good numbers that don't let you unlock everything at once, removing an important aspect of discovery of new mechanics, but at the same time not feeling like a grind, which I despite in general.
But again this is a very delicate balance (eheh)
I can not believe the amount of content you managed to create in 2 weeks, and super polished and fun as well

Yep ! I had to get all the upgrades for it and had still to put a few more tries, but I did it ! ^^ The double damage on enemies really helped
Overall the game is very well paced and the balancing is nice !

Pretty engaging game, i love the way the ability tree works and the fact that certain upgrades contain some downgrades makin the game balanced troughout the whole gameplay. Love to see more in the future...

We started the jam just for fun but as we developed the game and shared it with our friends we found out it was really addictive, even for us xD, and we are thinking of making a full game from it, do you see some potential?

I like the idea of the game, the arcade aesthetics are cool. I found myself wanting to have a higher base movement speed. Also when upgrading I think I lost my sprite when it went offscreen! 😄

The base speed is just for the tutorial, but after you buy the first speed upgrade it should be faster.
I don't understand the bug you are talking about, what goes off screen and in what scene?
Thanks for the response :) When selecting an upgrade, I can use WASD to move and can disappear off the screen. I am able to come back into view if I move in the other direction.
ah yes! that is intended, so that you can navigate the upgrade tree as it gets pretty big :)
you can also do that by zooming with the mouse wheel or my clicking and dragging.
