Wow, this is genius! This puzzle game is killing with all the ideas it has for the "balance". Balancing objects each side, check! Balancing the divided platforms, check. Weight check between the platforms, also check! Sokoban mechanics, check! It's also greatly polished, would be catching myself playing the full-release for sure :)

Congrats for your ratings. Keep up the good work.

This was  one of the games in which I couldn't stop until I completed it, really well done!!!

Nice puzzles — congrats!

The idea of balancing the screen is really cool.

Wonderful game! The mechanics were the star of the show here, I also liked the music, and the visuals kept everything nice and simple. I didn't figure out how the blocks influenced the balance until the last main game stage. Once I did everything got a lot more interesting and I enjoyed the bonus level too. I can tell you have a strong eye for what makes a great puzzle game, and this was a really unique mechanic that fit the theme well. Great job!

oh wow, that's my favourite entry this year. Great puzzles and use of the theme!

You have a README which is great, but you'll need a License file as well (these are two main criteria for open source category). README looks good, maybe add some screenshots to spice it up a little.

Enjoying the full screen on start. Music is funky and got me in the vibes. I love that the star, the box, and the eyes move to the beat. This is super fun! Addictive, clean. The graphics are really cute and also easy on the eyes. The animation for the level changes is slick. Lovely work and nice creative use of the theme, rather different and cool. Well done.

Thank you so much for the kind feedback. I'm really happy you enjoyed the game! I appreciate the note about the License file and screenshots. I’ve just added both to the GitHub repo. I had read on the Gamedev.js site that the open source requirements weren't clearly specified, so I missed those details initially. Thanks again for pointing it out!

Yeah it's probably not clearly written for the game jam, however a README and License is a standard requirement for something that is open source (industry standard rather than "hackathon" or "game jam" requirement).

I checked your repo and I LOVE your README; nice use of screenshots.

First puzzle game I played in this jam, which is surprising :). This is just great: Clear interpretation of the theme, nice music, satisfying sound effects, nice introduction with the tutorial and clever puzzles. I also liked the undo mechanic, as this avoids that you need to restart the level every time you do a small error. I really do not have any input on how this could be improved. Maybe some more levels would be great (but was enough for a jam game) and then some additional mechanics to introduce new twists on the balancing mechanic. Just some ideas from the top of my head: Blocks which are heavier than others, blocks which do not influence the scale, "balloon" blocks which have the opposite effect on the balance,...

Congratulations to this great entry! Could not stop to play and had to finish it :).

Your game is the highlight of my rating session: https://x.com/Stiggstogg/status/1918945099418923204

Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm really glad you enjoyed the game and stuck with it to the end. I actually did implement a system for blocks with different weights, but in the end, I decided to keep the levels simpler for the jam to stay focused and avoid overcomplicating things. That said, I love the idea of balloon blocks. Definitely something I’d like to explore if I expand on the game post-jam :)

Submitted(+1)

Agree to "avoid overcomplicating things" for a jam. I think it was the right decision to keep it simple. In this way people might play through the whole game and get a success when they made it.

This was awesome! I loved the gradual increase in difficulty—so satisfying moving the blocks around. The player sprite is so cute too. :D

Wow! The mechanics of balance are well conveyed in the game. It reminded me of the atmosphere of the game "Baba is You!". The game is well done, though I didn't quite catch the connection with noodles. Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the mechanics and atmosphere.
I decided to skip the noodle theme since it was optional for the challenge and I was already struggling to come up with a solid idea without adding that extra constraint. Maybe next time!

Idea is simple and fun like it should be. Good entry :)

You can press U to undo and R to reset the current level if you are stuck 😉

Thank you so much for sharing. I'm glad you liked it!

The theme is clearly here, and the gameplay offers plenty of puzzle-solving fun. Visuals are simple and pleasant. Audio is alright. Nice game.

Good Game

So cool game! I like it!

I would say it's the best game in this jam, it's amazing.

The sound effects work so well when the character is moving TICK TICK TICK and the TAK TAK TAK when proceed to next level, really love that!!!

In terms of gameplay, the core mechanism is well polished and fits the theme balance so well!!

Good job on the game :D

Submitted(+1)

The puzzle game is truly innovative and brilliant! The music and graphics were great, and I absolutely loved the concept and how it connected to the theme.

I would be very grateful if you would try my game too, rate it, and share your feedback. It would mean a lot!
