My moonshot project would be that the moon has been shot out of the solar system, with the last shard of humanity on it.

Very fun management game, I only wish that the player was able to be more active in solving population problems, it seemed as though the game wanted me to depend on waiting for events with straight up killing people for the purpose of having comfort levels rise.  The UI and visuals in general are fantastic, and it managed to keep me engaged all the way through even if there was less to do later on.

Great game ! There's a lot of depth and content for a game made in one month, you definitively made a great job !

It was a lot of fun to deal with all those events :)

This is a good simulation game! Those moon people love to get busy :)

Incredible job! This is a complete game in every sense. I love the concept, the interface, and the graphics. Some thoughts:

  • It was hard to find every last build site. Maybe in the build menu, make it so that buildable sites are bright and unbuildable are dark, instead of the reverse.
  • The last two thirds of the journey was very repetitive. I would consider cutting the total time required in half.
  • There was a lot of mismatched event text.
  • The mid-end game is about managing population, but the player has no tools to do that except wait for disasters. The idea of managing population both as inputs to resource creation and sinks for resource spending is very cool -- especially with a modeled age distribution -- but the player doesn't have enough control to make that part of the game.

An interesting game with complete mechanics, that is really good!

Very solidly put together; I can easily see this as the basis for a commercial product.

In terms of actual feedback: As I'm sure you know, it's very easy to fill all the build locations very early on, which makes the rest of the player's game very reactive; I would suggest that you need some other pathways for growth that open up later (perhaps through technology) to give the late-game player something more to do than maintenance.

It wasn't always easy for me to tell (or, I suppose, remember) that the game was paused; since events pause the game when they pop up and don't unpause when they're dismissed I spent a lot of time accidentally paused, waiting for changes that weren't going to happen. Since it seems like most of the event decisions don't really require much in the way of follow-up, perhaps they could return you to your previous play speed automatically?

Overall this is a very strong entry; great work, and I hope it's recognised as such in the jam!

Excellent strategy game! Fit well with the jam's theme!
Amazing visuals and very good UI. Love the story which give player a purpose.
Great job!

really engaging game with enough systems to keep the player constantly involved without feeling overwhelming or confusing. the art, writing and sound together make the game really immersive

this game was super fun to play and I haven’t seen anything like this in a game jam before. The strategy building was really unique and the music and sfx fit the art really well! Great job

Very clever and well thought out. I will definately be playing this again.

This is sutch a nicley polished game that I am basically in awe. Just the intro alone had me hooked. The only thing I can complain about is like.. The moon models uv-unwrap is wonky at poles. Literally Unplayable. Also I feel a helium-3 driven fusion reactor would make more sense than geothermals on the moon. /s

Joking aside I am def coming back and playing this a few more times! :)

Bonus points for unexpected dictatorship/genocide simulation.

Love the story. Spent a solid hour playing this game, Great job on balance. Simply, love it!

I really liked the story in the beginning and the core concept of this game. I am just a bit confused, how to manage population, but i will come back to this at a later point. It fits the theme perfectly!

that intro was crazy.  great work; audio, graphics, UI were all done very well.

Nice job!  The game seems well polished with lots of extra detail.  Art and sound are both very nice.  I definitely appreciated the intro tutorial.  But still had trouble understanding how to manage population vs production.  Perhaps I am just unfamiliar with this game genre.

Good management game. I found it very difficult to manage all the ressources at the same time. Great job :)

This was overall enjoyable but had a few issues. With a bit more balancing this would be excellent.

The good:

  • Nailed the theme!
  • Very playable, anyone familiar with the classic Sim games should immediately grasp what is going on.

The bad:

  • The game did not quite fit on my laptop’s display, cutting off a bit of the mood status.
  • I quickly got the game into a steady state where I didn’t need to do much besides click maintenance buttons. The alerts requiring a fixed amount of resources to prevent other effects didn’t occur often enough to actually cause resource pressure, and population status indicators don’t seem to affect each other or cause spiraling effects if not attended to.

Rating Notes:

  • Gameplay: Everything works, intuitive UI. Gameplay became monotonous once a steady state was reached.
  • Graphics: Looked fine overall, the growing and shrinking suns was a nice touch. Actually seeing the buildings outside of build mode was a bit hard.
  • Audio: Background track was great. I’m not sure if it was just my volume level, but other sound effects were compartively very quiet.
  • Theme Interpretation: Story and gameplay both a perfect fit! Can’t ask for more.
  • Innovation: A classic base-builder, but the lunar setting is a nice twist.

Watched the development of this one on the Discord, was very excited to play and it didn't disappoint!

I will unlock all of this games' achievements at a later date. It took me a little bit to understand, but once you get rolling it's pretty satisfying. I was really into civ 5 awhile back, and the whole production, energy, water resources really reminded me of that. It's a great feeling when you build something new and see you go back to the positives. Overall, a fun game that I will definitely conquer.
