In what way does your game fit the theme?
The Robot must be together with his head to be stronger. This way it fits the theme "Stronger Together". The player's head separates when energy is low and he has to knock it around to recharge and become strong again. The enemies will increase in difficulty with each wave.
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Assets were taken from free sources, most of them were made by us. The full source code is written by us.
NOTE: The restart button is broken. Please start the game again if you want to play. Sorry for the inconvenience. Forgot a line of code. xD

Loved the game!
Great mechanic. The dual-purpose Stronger Together reference worked well. I think it could be even better if there was gameplay that encouraged the player to make a choice between the two modes.
I'm not sure how the health system worked. Maybe that could be explained in a tutorial or something, if you wanted to implement one.
Music and graphics were both nice.
Great work!
Thanks for playing, and the review!
Normally I would write out a long review for each game I play, but lately I haven't had much time to do so. I hope what I said in the video is helpful feedback!
Thank you for playing and for the video!
No problem! The main mechanic was pretty unique although a little confusing at first. But once I figured it out, it was a fun little arcade experience!
This is a really solid game! Really cool mechanics, being able to fight differently whether you have your head on or not. I especially liked the auto targeting of kicking the head, it's very player friendly. The movement felt really slippy at first, but after some getting used to it, it felt really fast and precise. Just the right amount of hitlag when you hit something feels really good.
Visually, it also looks great with a nice color palette and nice artwork. The music is also nice, but does not really fit the game I feel like.
The difficulty curve is high. Once I reached the level where the turrets target you directly it's much more difficult. There also does not seem to be an anticipation of when the turrets will shoot, making dodging more difficult.
Still a very nice entry, good job!
Thank you for playing and the review! We appreciate it.
First of all, shout out to a fellow Godot user. Really cool mechanic with your head separated. I too had the bug where the head disappears, in the same instance the enemies stopped firing, you see the flash animation on the enemy but no projectile. It only seemed to occur after dying and starting a new game, quitting and restarting resolved it. Overall though I had fun with this.
Thank you for playing! The bug is the result of the return button.
Good game and really nice pixel art ! ;)
I just had a little bug, I don't know if somebody already report it, but at a time I loose my head but it didn't fall to the ground so I was stuck ^^
Thank you for playing! Yes, I am aware of the bug. It only happens when you press the return button.
Very unique, interesting take on the theme. Kicking the head around was so much fun, I especially enjoyed the way it would bounce you around if it hit you. The game does get a bit repetitive, it could probably use a few more enemy types. I didn't feel like having the robot's head attached was much of an advantage, but it didn't stay attached for very long anyway.
Thank you for playing! and also for your feedback. The other types of enemies were in development. We decided to cut them for the jam deadline as we didn't have enough time to test them out. We will try to balance out both types of playstyles.
Nice game it really give you a nice fun feeling but I find it easier to destroy enemies by losing my helmet and kicking it which sort of goes against the theme.
Thanks for playing!
Very nice game,i liked the style. But sometimes enemies are not shooting :)
That is a bug! I mentioned it in the description and the submission notes. Instead of using the return button just restart the whole game! Thank you for playing!
An interesting game, one of the more unique takes on the theme I've seen and an interesting gameplay loop. Though it did get a bit samey. That might be due to what happened while I was playing it though. Movement was snappy, visuals were nice. Some finer points tho:
To end off, I have the highscore. Completely legitimately, beat it. (definitely not legit, but still, beat it)
Thanks a lot for playing! You really did a very thorough analysis. I enjoyed your approach. I will definitely try to improve on it.
This was a very fun game! The mechanics are solid and the color palette was nicely chosen. I really like the design of the UI too! I found out that in later levels the way to go was to use the head to destroy the enemies, as you couldn't get too close to them to punch because there were too many bullets. Starting at level 8 it gets harder because the enemies shoot directly at you, so you really need to use the rolling mechanic to your advantage. There's something really satisfying in the beginning levels with one-hit killing the enemies with the hat on. I would suggest to add a 'how to play' screen in the beginning explaining all of the game mechanics. Maybe a cool feature to add would be a projectile that you could shoot when you have the hat on or something? Another suggestion I have is to add some way to regenerate health so players can go further in levels (You should definitely make more, I would play them!). Anyway, I had a lot of fun playing this game on stream today! Thank you for showing up! I swear I need to beat level 10!!
Thank you so much for playing! and also the feedback. I will make a patch after the jam is over to make it somewhat complete.
Very fun game! The pixel art looks really good. The game is smooth and it is fun to destroy the enemy turrets!
Suggestion -> You can add a hurt animation to the player to add a visual cue that the player is taking damage. The pixel size is not consistent, try to avoid scaling objects to different scales.
Thank you for playing! It was a mistake on our part as we did the assets with 32x32 at first then chose 16x16 so, there wasn't enough time to redo them all.
This game was an absolute blast to play!
The artstyle for the game looks great, it has a really cool retro kinda vibe with the color palette and such.
The game itself was also just really fun to play and I spent quite a bit of time trying to beat my own highscore (535, midway through level 10), like the hat felt really nice to kick around and sort of chain combos with.
I also agree with what most of the other comments said. One suggestion I have that I didn't see anyone else mention would be to possibly match some of the art like the health or stamina icon with the same color palette as the rest of the game, and make it a bit smaller so you don't have to scale them as much (then the pixel sizes would match as well).
Anyways good job! I'll let you know if I make it past level 10 lol.
The truth is I made the curve so that nobody actually gets through level 8 let alone 10. But I was mistaken about the skill of the players. Thanks a lot for playing!
Too bad for the bug as it really kills the gameplay so we have to restart... But hey, that is the kind of things happening in Game Jams right ? haha
I agree with comments saying it needs a short explanation on controls or way to play. I discovered you could knock your head by accident, I discovered you could deflect enemies shoot also. The gameplay becomes quite fun when you have all cards in hands!
There is two fonts used right? I feel like they do not completly blend with the rest of the design... Personal thought :) (And who am I to say this, my fonts are the worst :p)
Nice touch for the high score being saved and shown in the menu, it makes us want to pump those rookie numbers ! ;)
Anyway, good entry, well done !
In the last commit, I forgot one line of code. That is the bug, One liner. xD I know. It happens, But it's a feature now. lol. Thank you for playing our game and for your valuable insight!
I feel you.
Feel the rage, embrace it, nourish it until it becomes a big fire, and use it as a fuel to ace your next Project! ;)
Thanks so much for playing and for the inspirational words!
Thank you for playing and the review. I will definitely add a tutorial and fix the fonts. We actually used the engine defaults. Inside the game.
Nice game but after restart i have bugged turrets they stop shooting and textures start glitching. but very good idea.
I have put this bug in the description. It was a last-minute addition, the restart page. I forgot a line in the code. Thanks for playing!
Nice and original idea. At first it was a bit confusing how the head mechanic works but learned quickly and managed to pass some levels and waves :-)
Thank you for playing! Good feedback.
Great game! I like the timed power-up, I'd like an endless mode with that alone. Feels great to play, and it was made in Godot, same as mine
Thank you!
Good entry! At first I thought it was just a survive-as-much-as-you-can type of game but once the head starting flying off things got interesting! I struggled with hitting the enemies sometimes, so maybe the collision system could be improved, but overall it was an enjoyable experience.
P.D: Got 415 points and wave 8 I think, did I do good? :)
You beat me! That was more than good. Thanks for playing!
-Was kinda tough to understand, would appreciate some initial explanation.
-Restart button doesn't work (have seen you already noticed).
-Feedback for damage, hit, etc. Would be appreciated
Really fun game! One of the best gameplay i've played so far :) Congrats!
I really appreciate your review! Thanks a lot for playing!
This is really fun.
The looks and music are nice looking, even if it isn't all self-made. The gameplay is fun and intuitive, but deep enough for the player to be able to create a strategy and learn.
Overall a really nice game to play a round of now and again. I've added this to my collection :D
Thank you for the review!
The Audio and Graphis is well done and i like the games concept.
I think it could use more feedback on when youre hit by and enemy, maybe a little sound and a subtle camera shake.
Other than that, its a solid submission!
Thanks for the review! I am already fixing bugs and design stuff and revamping the game. After the jam, we will release it fully, hopefully.
I wish you the best of luck!
Thank you!
